Thanks lucysmam I'll go and have a look at some reviews now

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 09:56

No probs, I clicked the thread wondering if anything in it might be of use to me so will be having a look-up myself. Hopefully there will be nothing unexpected this week & I can haul!

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 10:16

Have any of you decanted anything watery into a pump bottle? I'm thinking of putting my witch hazel in one - I think it'll make it more economical and easier to use but have visions of it not being thick enough to go up the pump Confused

XiCi · 20/09/2015 11:01

My black sugar mask arrived yesterday so I tried that this morning. I'm so impressed. My skin feels all soft and glowy. Lovely lemon scent as well. I really like the skinfood range. Their emulsions are lovely too.

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 11:08

Oooh, I saw the Black Sugar Perfect First Serum on Instagram & thought about buying it...and their waterberry toner (I think) packaging was pretty. I don't think I need either but they went on my wishlist.

Stevie77 · 20/09/2015 11:20

Me again!

Has anyone had experience with RoseRoseShop? Seems legit and is mentioned a lot on Reddit.

Also, I want to try Mizon snail cream for some scarring but can't decide between the regular all in one cream or the black snail one. Has anyone had good results with either?

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 11:39

RRS is legit. If you're ordering from them through ebay, they don't send samples (if you're bothered about samples). Through their own website they do but can be hit & miss as to quality/quantity from what I've seen on reddit.

Stevie77 · 20/09/2015 12:19

Thanks Lucy. Well, samples are not the be all and end all but it would be nice to have some for sure!

I saw you mentioned the softymo oil cleanser up thread . I've also decided that's the one I want to try, please share where you're buying it from. I've seen a few sellers on eBay and even Amazon...

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 12:35

I was going to try this one with 100% feedback. It's the cheapest price I can find it.

Samples are not the be all and end all, they're a nice surprise though Smile.

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 13:05

Eek...I need to cut my list a bit! It's currently as £70 Shock. I have never spent so much at once on skincare. Think I'll cut it down later on...just not sure what I don't want right this second now Grin

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 13:07

as = at!

mowglik · 20/09/2015 13:51

lucysmam I have decanted watery products into my muji pump bottle and had no problems but when I tried to put some more viscous OST serum in the same pump it wouldn't work at all! Angry so am just pouring it out of my pump bottle which defeats the point a bit :/

XiCi · 20/09/2015 14:28

I've ordered a couple of times from roseroseshop stevie and had no problems and really fast delivery. Got some real bargains, just remember that you have to factor the postage costs in to the order

AngelaRipp0n · 20/09/2015 18:23

Hello everyone, I'm sorry I've been awol it's just t asking a bit of getting used to working full time after donkeys years as a sahm and I still haven't sent Derek's sample! So sorry.

I have recieved a few parcels and have a secret hiding place that my postie knows so I don't have to wait to collect. I've had scenic Aqua ampoule, more snail recovery gel as dd2 and DH have stolen my other two, ost Vit c serum. I'm going slowly with the vitamin c so it's a bit early to tell if it's making much difference and the Aqua ampoule is ok, but not massively impressive so I'm only using it as well as either the honey ampoule, long name or snail bee - get me!

I ordered a homemade Vit c serum on eBay, it was supposed to be made by someone who was an aromatherapist/beautician and I had high hopes for it, but it came in a clear jar and was a thick cream. I emailed the seller saying I was surprised it wasn't in a coloured container as the image in her listing, but I don't think she understood why it was an issue, so I gave up and bought the ost.

I've been trying the Benton steam cream ever since my snail aio ran out, but it's too thick and like a western moisturiser and I e got used to much lighter creams so I need to get something new.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 20/09/2015 20:16

Gone out with DH for dinner and ended up at a Korean Bbq restaurant (his choice).
Tried the missha latte foam cleanser really nice and not drying. Wearing my cushion base and it still looks good after a long day.

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 20:24

Hello Angela, nice to 'see' you. I too have a secret hidey place - my postie comes minutes before I get back from taking the girls to school judging by the cards shoved through the door and there's never any sign of him to claim my parcels.

My snail gel is almost empty. Everyone bloody likes it -dp even tried it on nettle rash last week after coming off his bike (again).

Korean bbq sounds tasty muddling! Which Missha latte cleanser have you got? I have the green tea -it smells lush.

teawamutu · 20/09/2015 21:27

I'm about to take the plunge and order from roseroseshop - about 40 bucks worth of goods, 20 shipping. Will I get slapped with a customs charge, does anyone know? Am in the UK.

lucysmam · 20/09/2015 22:00

Orders under £15 are ok. Most places mark parcels at a specific value - Jolse marks everything at $7 it seems & I think only one or two of us have had things stopped by customs from korean sellers.

Maybe put in the order $ to google and see what £ it comes out at?

teawamutu · 20/09/2015 22:06

Jolse was the other store I was looking at. Maybe I'll try them first.

teawamutu · 20/09/2015 22:15

Does shipping count towards the order total?

XiCi · 20/09/2015 22:38

I think because you are paying official shipping costs via the business and not from an eBay seller you don't get a customs charge. I have bought way more than £15 worth a couple of times from RRS and been ok.

XiCi · 20/09/2015 22:40

Once you get to checkout teawamutu RRS calculates a shipping charge based on the weight of the goods you've bought, it then gets added to your total

XiCi · 20/09/2015 22:45

It's the value of the goods, not including shipping

lucysmam · 21/09/2015 07:36

That's really helpful for me too XiCi! I've been avoiding ordering all from one place wondering about paying for shipping being included. Thanks.

Just got an email - my cushion is on it's way...only got to wait until 1st Oct ish.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 21/09/2015 11:33

Green tea one the same as you Lucy though i have found you dont need a lot to get a good foam and the fragrance is lovely
