Stylish really warm boots for winter

Please help!

I need to buy a pair of warm practical and pretty boots for winter. Something lined like Ugg boots but not typical Uggs; I hate them! Not riding type boots either or those cowboy ones.

I like brown colour and flat heels...not a fan of wedges either. Mid calf length.

Is there a boot that exists like this?
I'm 32 so nothing too frumpy either

I have Merrell Decora Sonata, which are like the chants linked to below, but lace-up. here

They are sooooo warm and comfy, and look good with skinny jeans and with tights/skirts.

La Canadienne are brilliant at keeping your feet warm and dry. Not usually available in the UK, but worth googling and keeping your eyes open as we get closer to winter.

dexter how high do the Ugg Gershwin boots come up? And are they quite clumpy?

Also, are they quite wide on the calf? I have very narrow calves so they need to be slim fitting.

The Ugg Gershwins aren't that clumpy, and IMO quite narrow on the calf. I can wear skinnies under then but they don't look loose over jeans, IYSWIM. If you are a 3, 5 or 6 they are rather cheap today (special offer) - £69 - 20%

Also shall I size up? Some of the reviews say they come up small.

I would say they are normal sizing rather than Ugg sizing. Mine are a 7 (my usual size in other shoes), and not hugely roomy. My usual sheepskin Uggs would be a 6.

I have the Merrell Captiva in the Buckledown version and they are ludicrously comfy and warm. I wouldn't say they're the epitome of chic, but as practical smarting yet versatile winter boots go I think they're hard to beat.

kaynes you should learn your credit card no off by heart including expiry date and security code. It makes late night online shopping from bed that much easier

I purposely don't know the security code on my new card, Dancer. Things got very expensive when I was very sleep deprived and up breastfeeding in the middle of the night a couple of years ago

damn this thread, just bought the black Gershwins, with the extra 15% first order code and free click and collect delivery, they were £58, which made them worth a try. That's cheaper than a pair of pleather boots from New Look!
