that is knee length, proper PENCIL tight ( not like the boden a line ones) and doesnt cling to opaques,

so i can buy it

I bought this from M&S recently, it is scuba material and super tight, but the thickness of the fabric makes it very forgiving.

I'm short so comes in tight below knees. I'm wearing it with black pointy heels, a black top and black tuxedo blazer. Loads of compliments.

If pattern is not your taste they have several in same fabric/shape.

This looks nice in the black.

This is my favourite that I own. I'm a 10-12 and bought it in the 10 so it would fit neatly.

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 08/08/2015 16:09

If anyone on Gods earth can point me in the direction of a proper just below knee pencil in a nice thick forgiving msterial for a TALL woman, I will seriously consider paying you Grin.

Start a new job in Sept and neeeeed a couple of skirts. I'm 5'11 and hourglassy figure. Most pencil smirts sit on or above my knee in a most unflattering way, and the idd black tube skirt you find in tall sections are too thin and show lumps and bumps. Help .

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 08/08/2015 16:27

yes theres a fine line between tube and boden frumperama

Mine is an M&S one too - scuba material with a thick super-stretchy lining that sucks everything in. I bought it last year but have seen similar in store recently.

Proper knee length, not shiny. Takes inches off my fat arse.

M&S scuba isn't shiny, actually quite mat. Looks way more £££ than it was.

ProjectPerfect · 08/08/2015 16:52

And yy to CV takes inches of arse Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2015 17:08

M&S or Oasis. Or Whistles midi tube skirts if not wanting to tuck in.

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 08/08/2015 17:45

i cant tuck in - top half too short

Skirt looks nice. Not fond of the dress. I bought the bright pink M&S skirt and am v pleased with it. Much nicer than the awful pic.

I think I might get this.

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 08/08/2015 18:00

they are INTO flowers atm, not so sure I am...i got that new look one last summer and never got into it

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2015 18:05

I like flowers if not too twee or light.

ProjectPerfect · 08/08/2015 18:16

Nice skirt Remus - have you seen it in RL? Wondering what fabric is like

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2015 18:18

It's cotton - should be fine. Oasis getting worse and worse re polyester but they still have the very occasional item in natural fabrics.

ProjectPerfect · 08/08/2015 18:30

Last time I browsed in Oasis I feared that a static spark would burn the place down. Still the occasional gem but for the costs they're now charging more of it should be natural fibres

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2015 18:48

Totally agree. I rate their leather bikers and their cotton pencil skirts, and that's all.

TheHappinessTrap · 09/08/2015 07:37

I have the same problem stripey tee, my best pencil is a Jean one with pockets that's in m&s's lulu range. It's too long and I shortened it to just below the knee and is v flattering!
