I didn't refresh before posting about my shiny new goodies. I'll have a look at the HL Shirojyun now before I go spending, ilove, thanks.

I wonder if the film is from whatever last product you're using maybe?

FrugalFashionista · 17/07/2015 09:38

Lucysmam I love Innisfree masks but the bijas are awful, they burned a bit and did nothing.

Innisfrees are not as good for brightening and glow than MBD hyaluronic but I enjoy Innisfrees more as they fit my face better and smell more natural.

I think the Benton steam cream is definitely leaving a film but I was getting it with Cerave too, I'll try using less and see what happens.

Re Bija sheet masks, don't quote me but I think they're the ones that get bad reviews from loads of bloggers for causing breakouts and irritation.

ilovetosleep · 17/07/2015 09:40

To clarify I specifiacally meant innisfree bija

ilovetosleep · 17/07/2015 09:43

Cross post with frugal! I agree re innisfree, not tried MBD but I must admit I am yet to find a sheet mask that makes my skin actually look any different - I love them and find they feel amazing and make my skin feel nice and soft, but they haven't had any brightening effects so far - I need to try MBD obviously but can't justify buying a whole box!

ooh, I'll not order those ones then! Maybe rice instead. I'll still have a read later on. Thanks.

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 09:56

I can't justify a whole box of MBD either ilove. Even though I have some cash this week I'm trying to be careful & not go silly on the products I'm ordering.

I'm going to leave the Joseon dynasty cream for now and see what else I find first...pen and notebook are ready for tonight. It's tempting just for the pretty pot and I have been lucky so far that nothing has majorly broken me out but I imagine my luck will run out soon so I need to be a little more mindful of what I'm purchasing.

FrugalFashionista · 17/07/2015 09:58

I have lots of different Innisfree Real Squeezes, honey, aloe and green tea and bamboo were sold out when I purchased mine. Açai, cucumber and blackberry are great. Also like rice and shea.

Someone asked about sample organisation upthread - mine are in an envelope in a beauty case & get rifled through for what I want out at the time Hmm Maybe ought to have a rethink of that so I can easily see what's there.

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 10:00

Do the blackberry smell like blackberry? I could easily be sold on those if they have a nice smell Grin

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 10:10

I have spent a grand total of £40 (including some birthday bits for dp and loads for me)...why when it's sat there for me do I dither but when I don't have it I want everything?! Confused

FrugalFashionista · 17/07/2015 10:42

The blackberries in our supermarket in Italy had no smell!!! (Just like some cardboard-tasting strawberries.) The açai and strawberry smell quite realistic!

OP posts:
lucysmam · 17/07/2015 10:54

I'll take a look at the strawberry ones, thanks Frugal. Hope you're settling in well now, your life sounds very hectic atm.

wickedfairy · 17/07/2015 11:18

Thank you Frugal!

I will be going on holiday in a couple of weeks and wondering what to take with me! It will be mid to high 30's and we are camping, so can't take too much!

I was thinking my Hada Labo, a serum, cream, sleep mask and obviously my Biore suncream. Does that sound ok?

I can't take everything and don't really want to take glycolic or vitC since I don't want to make my face too sensitive to sunlight when I am in s hot country....

allpassionspent · 17/07/2015 12:35

Hello Can I join you? Thanks to everyone for all your excellent advice and information.
I started following this thread properly at Vol 3 (having taken a couple of days off work to read through Vols 1 & 2 Smile). After a great deal of dithering about careful consideration I bought a Leneige Moisture Care set from a nice lady on EBay and ordered the Super Aqua Snail Kit from Missha deutchsland.
Am v v pleased with the Leneige esp. the sleep pack. Lovely soft and enplumpened skin in the morning.

My Snail kit arrived this morning with masses of samples and a free make up bag. I only ordered it on 11th July so am v impressed.
Thanks again for all your help and advice.

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 12:46

Hello allpassion Smile. Grin @ the thought of you taking time off work specially to read vol 1 & 2!

I have just spent a fortune in primark! Got a handbag and shoes for dp's mum's wedding as well as lots of other bits, and some odds & sods for the girls. Ooh, and a really pretty dress plus some bits to go out on the bikes with dp.

I haven't had a look in a mirror yet to see how the no sebum powder is holding up.

The only other thing I want today is some sweeties Grin and a glossy mag because I haven't had one in ages. Am leaning towards my old favourite In Style unless anyone has any better ideas?

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 12:47

Meant to say allpassion, you can dither with me! I'm very good at dithering over what I actually want Hmm

allpassionspent · 17/07/2015 12:59

Aw thanks Lucysmam. I love a good dither. It's what the delete button in the online shopping basket is all about.

bigbuttons · 17/07/2015 13:23

frugal hope you are settling in ok.

I woke up at silly o'clock this morning and decided to look properly at holy snail's shark sauce recipe. It looks rather fabulous so I bit the bullet and ordered all the stuff i didn't already have.Probably spent about £45 in all. I'll let you know how it is once I've made it.
She also raves about a reusable silicone mask that you can wear over your normal mask. Apparently it keeps the mask in place so you don't have to be lying down and it stops the essence evaporating and creates warmth which opens up pores etc. It is also very cheap. I am off to investigate now!

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 13:38

wicked, if you're off somewhere warm, I'd be tempted to take a really lightweight cream or gel rather than an actual cream iyswim? I imagine the snail cream I'm using (while it is rather jelly ish in texture) would be tooooo heavy in hot weather.

lucysmam · 17/07/2015 13:48

Don't forget something to take it all off with as well!

NewsreaderChic · 17/07/2015 14:03

Welcome allpassion, glad to hear we've got you hooked. Where did you order your snail stuff from?

Thanks for the pore shrinking link, I hadn't seen that and it's just in the nick of time. I'd seen something on Pinterest for homemade nose gunk made with milk and gelatin that's good for removing sf's. I figured that milk was ok, so bought gelatin just today to give it a go, having read the link I now realise that would have been a big mistake - phew. The good news I now 'need' a clay mask.

I got another Tosowoong parcel today with stretch mark cream (poor 13 year old dd has loads) and some three step sheet masks. My fridge is getting quite full of them now.

ilovetosleep · 17/07/2015 14:22

lucys so what did you think of the no sebum powder? Does it have a white cast?

ilovetosleep · 17/07/2015 14:23

And also the rice innisfree mask get thumbs up from me
