Frugal I do think a sleeping mask works wonders. Each time I reacted to the snail bee and then the placenta cream, I went back to basics of just cleansing and snail gel but always put my goodnight white sleeping mask on and luckily, the outbreaks were pretty much gone by morning. I don't think they would have disappeared so quick without the sleeping mask.

Just tried the konjac sponge, what a strange experience that was!

Strange how Cornwall?

If you can hold off on buying the HL for a few days, I can pick up a travel bottle in town on Friday & send you some on Saturday to try without the committment of being stuck with it if it's no good? Smile

frugal I'm always curious to know exactly where you are. Sounds fascinating. Not that I want to round around in your perfume stash or anythingWink.
I have some more sulwhasoo samples on their way. Some essences I think. it'll be a surprise when they arrive!
I am not experimenting at all now. I have what seems to be working. My skins seems happy with the cosrx blackhead stuff. I am happier using that than the harsh clearasil pads. ( I'll donate my huge stash of them to my 15 year old!)
Have some spots on chin line but I think that is to do with me holding my end- of- term exhausted head in my end- of- the- day dirty hands whilst I'm on the computer!!
I am not using my sleep masks because of the tretinoin. I use the sulwhasoo ginseng. probably should. I'm so exhausted that the skin care routine has become a bit of a faffBlush

I guess I'm so used to my cotton cleansing cloths that using a sponge, something I've never used on my face, was an odd experience for me!

That would be great Lucy's let me know how much it all costs and I'll paypal you on Friday Smile Thank you!

bigbuttons I'm hoping to reach the point of not needing to experiment soon. I know the cleanser I agree with, the first essence, the snail gel and my sleeping mask. All I want is a lotion/serum to go in the middle of my routine and I'll be happy.

I am however a sucker for 'intensive' treatments so I know I'll chop and change with sheet masks Grin But I love them so much, I enjoy trying new ones. And I'd love to experiment with clay masks.

GERTI, I admit my morning routine is shorter than it should be Blush I cleanse my sleeping mask off and immediately apply the first essence (I do like my galactomyces one although I have Tony Moly). Then about 10 minutes later the snail gel goes on and 5 minutes later my biore sunscreen. But my make up eyebrow routine takes its time!

gerti my morning routine lasts a good 1.5 hours. It starts with a wash followed by bravura ginseng to bring the skin ph down, then Vit c then after a while the cosrx blackhead.then a wait then the rest is done in a couple of minutes. Giving those acids time to work really pays off.

Does this sound about right? On a morning after cleansing I use nip fab pads followed by mizon all in one snail repair and sunscreen and then on a night ost vit c serum, then mizon snail repair and some l'oreal night cream I've not finished.
I have samples of the brenton steam cream and snail bee essence but I'm not quite sure where they would go.

vegan thanks for the recommendation of the hoikia hoikia jelly bb cream, it's fab. I just wish it would stay on a bit longer.

GERTI, I think a ph adjusting toner and just vitamin c plus a hydrating toner/one essence then moisturiser and sunblock is how people get through their morning routine quicker.

Saving the aha/bha and variety of essences/serums/ampoules/masks available for an evening when there is (in theory) time for a longer, more leisurely, routine.

lucysmam · 15/07/2015 22:21

ImBrain, don't forget your 20 mins ish for the ph of your skin to return to normal, and then again after nipfab pads and vit c serum.

The essence goes after the vit c/nip fab. Then steam cream then snail gel (has some occlusive properties) Smile

oh, and, if it's the snail gel cream in the tube, give it 10 mins to dry down before sunscreen. Mine was balling up & it took me ages to work out it's the silicone in the gel that was causing it.

hmmmm, the scinic honey aio is seeming more popular on reddit than the cosrx. The jar is HUGE too for not far off the price of the cosrx.

Urgh, I don't like deciding...maybe I should flip a coin Hmm

OK strange question possibly. DD is flying to Amsterdam tomorrow. Would the Missha Magic Cushion BB count as a liquid? I'm guessing yes for obvious reasons. We can't find how many ml it is anywhere to see if it can go in the clear plastic bag as she is travelling hand luggage only. Anyone know? It's the one prefilled with the Missha BB rather than the empty one you fill yourself

I'm really confused by Cosrx - I'm updating my spreadsheet and can't work out whether I want to put the Galactomyces 95 White(ning) Power Essence on, or the Aha 7 Whitehead Power liquid. Is it the first?

Holysnails has put 3 fabulous, extremely detailed posts up about how to DIY vitamin C serum. I think it's something to try after our move, because it seems to require much more kit than I ever expected to need. She knows her stuff though, and she gets consistent results because of her attention to detail. I think I'm going to wait for the Shark Sauce recipe and bookmark it, because the ingredients sound great. She made it for fiftyshadesofsnail (aka Crazy Snail Lady) which is so cute - I love that some of these bloggers have clearly become RL friends.
