If you've got boobs over a D cup, what style tops and dresses are you wearing?

And from where are you buying them. I can't remember the last time I bought a top that I really liked and which suited me. I especially struggle with going out tops and dresses. I've been shopping today and all I could see were sleeveless high necked tops suited to smaller boobed, willowy figures. I also have curvy hips. I'm really getting pissed off with wasting time on fruitless searches.

Anything with a V neck

Am a 36H size 16 and shop mainly in Debenhams (designers bit), Kaliko and Phase Eight. Wear smart dresses for work and find those v good for women with boobs and hips.

I tend to wear tops which are a bit freeform, with a low-ish neck or a granddad collar. Mostly from M&S, since they still have plenty of boho style stuff and I quite like some of their Indigo range, but I've recently bought some nice simple loose fitting t-shirts with a cap sleeve from white stuff. I used to wear simple fitted tees, but my belly simply isn't up to the job for that, any more.

The plethora of high necked sleeveless stuff is pretty frustrating, this year.

Fat face is always worth a look. Their more fitted stuff works well if you're slimmer waisted than me and they have some quite pretty necklines.

I feel your pain! I rarely find things that suit me, I'm a 34G. I like some John Rocha stuff but tbh there isn't one shop that I find it easy to get stuff from.

I've accepted the fact that I can't really wear fashionable clothes and just go with what suits me. Scoop neck or v neck tops, wrap dresses, straight leg or long skirts to balance out the top half. I wear colours that suit me and pretty jewellery to make it less boring. Most clothes are just cut for a completely different body shape and look wrong. I actually find more stuff that suits me in charity shops these days!

Where can I find these high necked tops? Being rather less well endowed I get depressed at the number of ridiculously low necked tops I see everywhere that I can't wear.

bump as I'm looking for fitted tops - like this but not in any of those weird prints. Everything is so boxy and I don't really want stretchy tops that cling to my spare tyre.

G cup here. I wear a lot of phase eight dresses for work. Debenhams for going out stuff. Pepperberry are designed with bigger boobs in mind (clothing branch of bravissimo) it's online if you don't have a shop nearby. Very easy to return/exchange what doesn't fit.

32F here. Bravissimo, Phase 8 though I have lost weight and they were a bit better when I was bigger. Various other places where I go for V neck. I happened to want quite a low neck tshirt to go under a specific jumper and Dorothy Perkins had a fairly good range of low neck tshirts. Also Boden for the style, though when I was bigger they were not so good fit wise. Still a bit baggy round the waist compared to the boobs though.

Most people I know are a D cup or bigger as in reality that's not a big size. What size are you?

Unless you are much bigger than a D I would have thought that many tops would suit and fit and that other factors (e.g. overall shape, style type) would be worth thinking about.

I'm usually a 30ff and find that most things fit me, really with the exception of quite a few shirts as my back is quite narrow. I know others others of the same bra size as me though who look best in quite different things to me.

Following this thread with interest, I'm a 32FF. I wear scoop neck tops from Uniqlo (proper low neck, very flattering) and recently got a nice black sleeveless top from Mango with a deep V neck (in a size XL, bloody tiny Mango). I wear wrap dresses with a plunge bra from Panache and structured slash neck dresses from Phase Eight, which I find are roomy enough up top.

I wear a lot of wrap dresses as I'm very too heavy (size 12/14 on bottom) and tops that have a bit of cling to avoid the Hattie Jacques Matron effect when tops just hang down off the boobs. V neck and scoop neck are good.

I'm a 34H and I can wear high-necked sleeveless tops now that I'm in the correct bra size.

I do wear a lot of lower cut things as well - Poetry do a scoop neck linen vest which I buy around 5 of each summer and they are my staple item in warmer weather.

Phase Eight know how to dress boobs.

I find dresses with a very small cap sleeve and a slightly gathered waist fit me well too.

I'm a 12 and DD, I like (fake) wraps and dresses with cowl neck, or those sort of scrunched elasticated sides/tummy area.

Ones with tie sides are nice (detract from my pot belly!).

Shifts - hopeless.
Skater - disaster.

50's would look OK, but no good for day to day stuff.

Im a 32DD and my norks are quite small. They fit in pretty much any top.

I'm a 38ff and suit high necked tops best, especially if they have some sort of collar. I love a Peter Pan collar!

Agree that Phase Eight know how to dress norks, although their style is really not me so they are no use to me.

I pretty much live in plain black t-shirts, with a scoop or deep v neck. Unfortunately M&S have stopped making the really good ones they used to do, so when the 6 or 7 I've got wear out, I'm doomed.

32F here and I can also fit into pretty much any top too. More trouble with the spare tyre than anything else.

30G here (you are in need of a bra intervention if you think a D cup is large). I like square necklines best of all but you don't find many of them. Otherwise anything except a very high neckline is fine. Can't say I pay much attention to fashion though.

D/DD are not large breasts. Not in the 'need to wear a certain sort of top' way. If you're struggling with tops/dresses flattering large breasts, I'll wager you're way above a D.

D is definitely not large.

Talking of bra interventions, if I measure a 38 underneath and 48 round the fullest part, what does that make me? I need to go bra shopping soon!

I think it must depend on your size and shape generally, as well as boob size. My 32Es are definitely big compared to the rest of me.
