If you've got boobs over a D cup, what style tops and dresses are you wearing?

And from where are you buying them. I can't remember the last time I bought a top that I really liked and which suited me. I especially struggle with going out tops and dresses. I've been shopping today and all I could see were sleeveless high necked tops suited to smaller boobed, willowy figures. I also have curvy hips. I'm really getting pissed off with wasting time on fruitless searches.

The only problem from that list that I sometimes have = straps slipping off shoulders (am v narrow shouldered).

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 27/06/2015 08:15

I am narrow shouldered too. I think that some bras cater better for that than others when you are a smaller back size ime. For example my EW bra and my Empreinte are both quite narrow on the shoulders. My Masquerade (although lovely), less so.

Did you check the measurements too Remus.

I'm a 34 ff ( following bra intervention) I used D cup in my heading wanting to include those who have bigger boobs but haven't dine bra intervention and still think they're a D ????

It's great that not everyone is having problem with the current styles in the average shop but they don't suit me. I know what suits me, but it's not available in most of my high street shops tight now. I gave 3 friends who are all smaller on top and look fabulous in the hang down style tops. My asset is my waist to hip ratio and that needs to be seen. I have a square jaw shape, so high necks and collars which hide my neck do nothing for my face or figure.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I will take a look.

Have you tried looking at the shopstyle website? You just type what you are looking for in the search bar and it brings up everything of that style being sold at the moment from the major retailers. I've found it really helpful when Ive been looking for a specific type of clothing.

I'm a 32FF with a small waist and my 'go to' shop is French Connection. They have alot of v necks and even their higher necked clothes seem to fit me really well. Probably about 80% of the dresses in my wardrobe are FC.

X Ooh ... good to know. BF now so don't often wear dresses but when I'm working I will be, I'm 30F with a small waist (well 30GG in my current milky state). I don't go to FC - don't know why as I'm a right shopping addict. Will try them!

What a great thread. Links/A list of places that sell T shirts/tops with a wide scoop neck and that are a little shaped at the waist ie not boxy, ( and not so short that they ride up....) would be amazing. 32 F/FF

TealFanClub · 27/06/2015 11:11

i am interested other people find dresses hard. to get one to fit i have to do stretch then i look all TITTY

those 'workwear' shift ones end up all gappy over the thighs to get the bust to fit

who started this dress thing. NO ONE wore dresses in the 80s wistful

lurkingaround · 27/06/2015 11:31

Bloody hate shift dresses too. I'm the opposite to you, Teal. Fine on top, arse like KKardashian.

louwn · 27/06/2015 12:56
