Urgh, Algernon must be breeding Angry I have a rather large one brewing on my socket bone ish just under my eye (unusual for me) and one on my chin (usual). The aloe propolis is the only new thing for a while so I guess that's to blame.

They weren't there this morning - just the little white heads.

Back to basics & nothing new for a while for me.

Frugal, I like hearing what you're up to...sounds much more exciting than my life Grin Glad you had a relaxing holiday. Good luck packing I hate packing Smile

FrugalFashionista · 06/07/2015 18:07

lucysmam your zit is definitely related to Algernon II, mine was also in the eye socket against the nasal bone and I don't think I've ever had a cyst there before. I've followed Wombat's advice and put less on my face - Missha FTE, Biore, BB cream, sheet masks and sleep masks, and my skin is back to normal. The sweaty weather is pretty challenging for my skin, I would go barefaced if I didn't have the purplish fading scars. I used some blotting sheets on my nose, normally I never need them but right now nothing is normal. A lady stopped me on the street, my dress was unbuttoned in the back Wink

I have just been to the post office. I paid the VAT and processing fee, really steep, so will definitely stick to single item purchases in the future. But anyhow my first Korean order is finally here, bring on the snail bee!

Gerti hoping your Biore gets here soon! So glad that your face is calming down! Snails are great!

I tried the N+F Dragon's Blood BHA pads, disliked their cologney smell but my face feels lovely and smooth after. Let's hope there will be no new breakouts. I'm not going to try anything new tonight, but will cool down with a sheet mask...

We shopped at Kiko Cosmetics in the beach town (DDs got an adorable nail polish kit with tiny watermelon slice bits of glitter), I noticed that they have cushions on sale! I did not try them as I have my Missha but they look authentic and might be a cheap way to try the cushion trend. The cushion is my favorite summer makeup item, very sheer but it still evens out everything.

I've put hardly anything on my face tonight - double cleansed to remove make up, bha (wondered if the aloe bha may be good for spot treating since it's not what I wanted but haven't tried it because I didn't want to anger the beasts), mud mask - seems to have lessened them slightly.

Followed that up with the fucidin I'm using up on the beasts, a tea tree serum I've been using up and snail gel.

I have a royal jelly sheet mask by my side to use shortly - when I settle the girls again, they're very exciteable after trying their flower girl dresses this evening Grin

I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't like me in the aloe propolis gel - have tried both in sheet mask form & tend to have the skin of a rhino Confused . I never thought after the Lioele sleeping pack brought me out in whiteheads to run it through COSDNA so am going to run both through and look for ingredients they share.

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 20:33

Frugal, love the nail polish kit Grin

W7 cheapy cheap make up has a cushion foundation - I spied it the other day in Poundworld of all places. Probably not up to much for a quid but thought I might pick one up tomorrow when I nip to town and see what it's like. Their new make-up line's waterproof mascara is not bad for a pound...stays put allllll day long & is a bugger to get off.

Oh, and, I can definitely feel the lack of products on my face - it feels drier and tighter than it has done in weeks Sad Hopefully the mask will sort that out.

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 21:16

Today's Snow White and the Asian Pear blogpost.

I need to re-read it a few times I think but the general gist is keep your face/skin cool in the heat to avoid ageing (I think).

I spotted a superdrug vit e facial toner mist the other day - I didn't have a proper look but will go back tomorrow and have a google for reviews.

Sorry, it was yesterday's post...I only just saw it! Blush

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 21:39

The beasts are calm! Loads calmer. I've put hydrocolloid patches on both to see if they'll go down further overnight. Must order (or find in town - I do like coming home to parcels though Grin ) some more of those.

Sheet mask has certainly helped with the not enough moisture on my face feeling too.

NewsreaderChic · 06/07/2015 22:02

Sorry to hear about all of Algernon's offspring and good to see you back Frugal. I recently subscribed to Elle Magazine and got a couple of Body Shop drops of youth things in the post today as a gift, I think CH likes that range so will add it to my items to introduce shelf.

I'm thinking of trying an AB primer, something that'll reduced the look of open pores if anyone has any suggestions?

Loving the TonyMoly tomato sheet masks, must order some more.

PoppyAmex · 06/07/2015 22:03

Hello again!

Just reporting on my latest experiences... still LOVING my Hada Labo foaming cleanser used with Missha's white clay konjac sponge. Definitely keeping that combination; feels super clean but the hyaluronic acid keeps everything well hydrated.

Tried Missha's Super Aqua Snail Treatment and really enjoyed it, but not as much as the First Essence. Also, really wanted to love the Waterfull Super Aqua Cream, but just like a poster up thread said, it felt draggy and thick.

LOVING Missha's longer name ampoule; can't believe the quality/price on that product. My serums were always so expensive and not sure they produced such great results!

The cushion love affair continues, but very impressed with the Holika Jelly Aqua BB too. Also on the pipeline, Laneige's pore control bb cushion

Still waiting on lots from Korea (dying to receive my C20 Vitamin C)
and just got a ton of samples and introducing Mizon's Placenta Cream this week, so will report back on that.

Also dying to get back into masks, but 2 non-sleeping toddlers are determined to boycott my relaxing evenings

PoppyAmex · 06/07/2015 22:05

News I ordered the Etude Beauty Shot Face Blur, hoping it will give me the primer/poreless look but it hasn't arrived yet. I'll let you know how I get on.

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 22:09

News, XiCi suggested I try the aloe gel as a primer yesterday (might have been sat)...would have been a cheap and cheerful option but I haven't really had chance to see results before putting it to one side.

Just glad I didn't end up with a full sized mistake!

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 22:12

Is there a way, on COSDNA, to compare products side by side? I forgot a pen & paper but can't remember a whole list from one or the other to compare them Confused

If not then I'll do it in the morning after taking the girls to school.

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 22:24

Also, anyone know what shipping is like on Jolse's actual website rather than ebay? There's a lurvely looking Etude House cushion kit I could be tempted by...here I just have no idea how much English money we're talking for such prettiness and fun!

lucysmam · 06/07/2015 22:30

Ebay is my friend...I have a tenner burning a hole in my pocket...but then I would actually need something to go in it.

But it's pretty!

I really ought to stop shopping by packaging or name alone. I might get further.

goodasitgets · 06/07/2015 22:44

Found a dollish veil vita BB cream sample in the drawer today. Wow - just ordered a full size!

FrugalFashionista · 06/07/2015 22:46

lucysmam I wanted to link to that kit before my trip as an example of how much fun cute, kitsch items can be - if it does not cost silly money, please buy it Grin

OP posts:
lucysmam · 06/07/2015 22:49

It's less than a tenner Frugal. Very tempted. I need something to actually go in it though if I buy it...I could happily look at pretty packaging all day though Grin My little castle handcream makes me smile every time I see it.

ScrambledSmegs · 06/07/2015 23:18

Welcome back Frugal. Sorry to hear that you've had a bad reaction to the Cosrx - I would love to try it myself one day but currently am trialling the retinol which seems to be going ok. Cute nail polish kit - is Kiko Cosmetics an Italian brand? I've not heard of them before.

I used another Innisfree mask tonight, one of the second skin ones. I had serious trouble getting it on my face intact, after peeling off the two backing sheets. It was great once on, and has had a great effect, but I found actually getting it on to my face was pretty stressful. Maybe next time will be better! It was full of propolis, so calming. Mmm...

AmazingDisgrace · 06/07/2015 23:33

Sorry to hear you didn't get on with the CosRX Frugal. I've not tried the BHA just the AHA/BHA clarifying one and the AHA whitehead.

I bought the full size placenta cream after the sample was so good I managed to overcome my ick factor

ScrambledSmegs · 06/07/2015 23:48

That cushion kit, lucysmam - I can't quite work it out. Is it the same sort of stuff that I've seen stuck to people's nails? If so, I think Meejmuse uses them - it's been freaking me out for weeks that I can't work out what the hell she's got on her nails! Thank you for clearing it up Grin

Has anyone used ibuybeauti.com? They currently have an offer on the Hera UV Ultra Moist Cushion, which I've been lusting after for ages. I'm a little confused by their points system, and not sure if I want to take the plunge into a random site I know nothing about. Also, customs charges Confused

mowglik · 06/07/2015 23:57

Second day of retinol tonight, will treat my skin tomorrow with an etude house aloe sheet masks.. I have quite a stash now and I think I will try and use them as much as possible to figure out which ones I like and want to buy more of. The my scheming one was so cooling today hopefully the aloe one will be the same

I have quite a few products I wouldn't mind swapping for, already have the BHA though frugal and the mizon AHA/BHA. I will have a sort though and see what I have for swaps, at least we won't have to wait 2 weeks to get the item!
