I know this will probably be greeted with revulsion and contemptuous pity, but can you still get these anywhere? I need something along these lines to fit under a slim fitting skirt. I'm obviously no good at tucking myself in because I usually look like a bag of spuds.

Its a blouse or shirt style I'm after, by the way, not a body con lace number. Those definitely still exist but .

I used to love them. Am the the only one who could do them up even when pissed?

They were great for confusing men too. They had no idea how to get into them.

To answer a question up thread, yes, you wore underwear. Or at least I did anyway.

CapybaraLovesTreacle · 13/06/2015 17:30

I loved mine. Can't think why I'd forgotten about them until this thread...

Poppers no problem, even after knocking back the Diamond White (boak). The only downside I recall was being long of body, they seemed to flattern my boobs Confused

TiggyD · 13/06/2015 18:38

They did them for men too.

Monkay · 13/06/2015 19:15

I loved them, I have a few from last year M&S I think.

Goggle shopping brings up some that made me chuckle.

MairzyDoats · 13/06/2015 20:01

I wore a purple cap sleeved bodysuit, with hotpants AND tights. I looked HOT (aged 17) but no fucker could get inside that lot.

MairzyDoats · 13/06/2015 20:01

It was, essentially, a 90s chastity belt.

Neil Diamond in a body suit Shock Shock Shock

I shall never venture onto the S&B boards again. That'll learn me.

Cocolepew · 14/06/2015 15:06

I'm going to see Neil Diamond at the end of the month.
If his shirt doesn't untuck I'll let you all know Grin

BriarRainbowshimmer · 14/06/2015 15:22

Don't worry all, they're still available for men even today

I thought of this thread yesterday as I saw a shirt bodysuit from Bentton in the charity shop yesterday!

StrangeLookingParasite · 15/06/2015 11:08

Can someone explain what the point of bodysuits are. They just seem really impractical.

I started wearing them when I rode a bike everywhere; perfect for the avoidance of builder's bum on a bicycle.
I wore them when pregnant because they gave me a bit of support, and now I wear them because they smooth out my fat a bit.

Gilrack · 15/06/2015 13:13

I miss them too! Well, not the shiny Lycra men's ones Grin

I'm tall and 'sturdy' - Wolford ones were always best for me, and I also found many winners from TopShop and Oasis. M&S ones were too short in the trunk.

The poppers were a massive advantage to me - I can't express how much I hate having to get undressed for a pee. You had to make sure the thing was well constructed and fitted properly.

Mind you, I'm so fat in the middle these days, there's no advantage to a smooth midriff line :( I'd look like a haggis.

Chair - If you were really being sexy: suspenders, knickers, body! HTH Grin
