Summer and holidays are coming, and the Voguettes will be more than ready!

All welcome and the more links the better but please don't mention House of Colour. Wink

Sadly I am not surprised no one helped you Lib I learnt that a long time ago Sad

shopafrolic · 29/05/2015 17:01

No time to catch up again (as per ATM) sorry. But Marsha I have a contact who does just that - is a travel counsellor. Shout if you want her email address. You can mention my name x

OneLittleLady · 29/05/2015 18:00

oh lib how horrible. i too am not surprised no one intervened, people are just glad it's not them. still, how disgusting and nasty, what a creep that guy was. I hope you're going to be alright and get home safe. xx

QueenCardigan · 29/05/2015 18:06

lib hideous for you but as you say as a younger one it could be really traumatic. Bloody idiot.
marsha I try and avoid trip advisor now for those reasons. So many different opinions that it makes it really difficult to choose.

Going out in an hour and a half and no idea what to wear. It has stopped raining and now sunny and as it's the end of May im not really sure that I want to wear a dress and opaques that I'd been considering. It'll have to be black trousers I guess.

shopafrolic · 29/05/2015 18:09

Marsha I've PM'd you
Lib ARSEHOLE - hope you're ok chick xx

Fedupnagging · 29/05/2015 18:19

Lib hope you're not too shaken up - vile behaviour. Have just looked at Slug's link and think you should report it. Good link btw Slug, will read the rest of it later.

Ds3 was a runner when younger so I used to insist on holding his hand. He would pipe up 'Mummy you're hurting me' very loudly Blush

Dry hope you get your bag sorted.

Cranagh that really is bad luck and a massive pia too. Even if the other insurers pay up, you still the excesses to pay not to mention the time and effort sorting it all out.

Weather has been rubbish here all day, cold and wet. Can't believe it's nearly June.

Off to read DMBL40 - well done Blair

MarshaBrady · 29/05/2015 18:27

Thanks Shop Thanks on the site now, looks great.

Lib argh for you, you poor thing. What an utter cretin.

QueenC yes I think that's the only way, avoid it, the range of reviews is too wide.

shopafrolic · 29/05/2015 19:02

Off out for dinner - feel lousy - have been ill all week with crappy head cold. So am in cosy mode. LKB shoe boots, Goldsign Lures, Lib's Theory grey cashmere sweater and my red mini Gracie.
Have lovely evenings all
x

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 19:12

liberty what a horrible man. What gives people the right? love Slug coming in with the link wouldn't you love to have the guts to stand up on the bus and shout " this man has just said ** and you're all ignoring it. What's wrong with you?" Hope you are ok.

Friday FASHION OBSERVATION coming up:

Have you ever gone in your wardrobe and put an outfit together with individual pieces you've had for ages but never worn together? And then wonder why the hell you've never done it before? Hmm

Is that clear?

Maybe it's just me.

I am a bit "I wear this with this" and don't experiment.

Fed up with blue denim I slung my khaki green Skinnies on with my white TS shirt and S Smiths today and wonder why I havent done this before ?

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 19:16

Similarly I was looking at my "looks that I liked" pin board and saw Jen in an outfit I can completely copy with a black blazer I hardly ever wear.

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 19:18

Shop hope you manage to enjoy your evening out

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 19:23

aaaaand I'm literally dreaming, and quite obsessed with these sshoes..... But the lovely linus may have found me a more reasonable alternative

MarshaBrady · 29/05/2015 19:26

oh Dry stunning!

I just found out I'm going out to dinner, but not dressed up, but spontaneous so going like this.

OneLittleLady · 29/05/2015 19:33

hope you've calmed down and are feeling okay now lib big hugs for you

enjoy your evening shop your outfit sounds great

in excellent, brilliant, amazing news, my big brother has finally, after three long years of slogging out his guts, trying, working hard at volunteering and chasing every chance, has GOT A JOB!!!!! he starts full time v soon. i'm beyond chuffed for him, its amazing news for him and means he gains his independence back and will hopefully lift his mood and stuff Grin Grin Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/05/2015 20:19

Well done OneDB!

Hugs Lib (I know you said you weren't shaken but still!) I think any woman that doesn't have a similar story is very lucky or very sheltered. Good for you for telling him to F off, but sadly I don't think there's anything you can do that's "right" in those circs. It makes me so angry. DH and I had an argument the other day about a "funny" video on fb in which a man on a train pretended to be chatting on the phone about how he was going to grab the girl sitting opposite him. She got up and bolted - and he couldn't see why that wasn't funny to me... Men just don't have the same experiences. Sorry for essay but it winds me up.

Have fun Marsha and shop and QueenC. And happy birthday KingC (if it's today?)

Dry swoon - but yay for cheaper alternative!

fedup she said she'd put them on the next blog post, wooo Grin

Thanks again everyone. slug thank you Flowers so much for that link. I will report it. It happened at a bus stop outside a civic centre in London. I work there one day a week. Next time I am there I am going to contact the communications team and give them the link and ask them to do an alert to staff about it. Hopefully that way other women will report it too if others have had the same problem.

Dry if it did happen on the bus I would shout my head off. I did yell at him but because it was on a busy street it didn't get so much attention. Love those shoes. Very you!

justa what a complete nuisance about your car.

libertychick · 29/05/2015 20:30

Sadly lots of men don't get how threatening that stuff is Blair. DH was lovely about it but then said I should have pulled my phone out and recorded it all - yes great idea but need phone easy to access, presence of mind and always the slight fear that if you are too provocative you might get attacked. I had to make do with a few swear words and my best evil look.

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 20:41

Sorry lib I misread your post. It's easy to say what one would do in hindsight but, like you say, you never know what your dealing with, or how people will react....

Well, I survived DHs welcome home dinner Kashmir pheasant curry Hmm Grin [puke face].... He has a freezer full of frozen birds he's shot, in the garage, Im not a fan, he thinks if he keeps cooking it for me I'll eventually give in and like it.......NO still disgusting Grin

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 21:00

Meant to say I went to Longchamps Regent St to check these out. Very lovely indeed, but....too narrow and a coral red rather than the pillar box red. phew

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2015 21:05

A girlfriend was wearing these in black with skinny jeans the other day and they looked fab. I have black loafers but was wondering whether the red might fill the red ballet/pointy flat gap in my wardrobe, or do they look a bit clownish? Could I wear them with skirts/dresses? Not sure about that.

libertychick · 29/05/2015 21:58

I love my leopard loafers Dry. Wearing them with jeans, trousers etc. They are trickier with skirts and dresses - good with an a-line shape skirt I think. One of my friends has a fantastic pair in orange patent from Russell and Bromley that I covet every time she wears them.

Took delivery of this Uniqlo dress today - it's really lovely, great shape, feels lovely on. Sadly it's too short for me - it's not indecent, I just prefer my knees covered. Might work for karbea or dry???

libertychick · 29/05/2015 23:01

Why oh why has Graham Norton grown that awful beard???

QueenCardigan · 30/05/2015 00:14

Evening/morning. Lovely meal/company etc and I'm a little bit drunk but not too much Grin. Tried a few things on and decided to wear black trousers and navy ravello top and black Mary Janes. blair kingc birthday is Sunday when we have loads more people coming round. Again, no idea yet what to wear-will depend on wrather. Love to you all.

MarshaBrady · 30/05/2015 08:23

Morning, sun is shining, better weather so far than yesterday.

Dry red plus patent might feel too eye catching when on, but then again you may feel ok. You could try them out to see. I like the idea of loafers. Think they'd work better with skinnies.

Lib it's very hard to take out your phone and do that as your first instinct is safety / go away. You don't know how unbalanced someone is. You did well to look after yourself in a horrible situation. Also I think some do realise how intimidating it is, and like it

QueenC glad you had fun.

I'll need some summer flats pretty soon. Not sandals, always find it hard to find alternatives. Will have to be ballet flats.

MarshaBrady · 30/05/2015 08:44

And Vogue says patent loafer one of 8 shoes we should have in wardrobe.
