Another lurker popping in here.....40, with sensitive, combination skin prone to those awful monthly lump-on-the-chin spots. I've been reading CH for a while but with an unemployed DH haven't been able to justify the expense of a full CH routine. However, now he's back in work I've allowed myself a bit of a spend....but not a massive one as I have to clear a load of debt first!
Can't use Cetaphil, my skin doesn't like it at all. I always have Avene extremely gentle cleanser and skin recovery cream in as from time to time my skin has a complete wobbly and this is all it will tolerate.
Was very excited to find the fruit clearasil pads in the 99p shop today! Plus I bought In Style for the Clinique serum. Baa.......
New routine....
AM
Cleanse with Liz Earle C&P
Acid tone with Clinique Mild Lotion
Spritz with Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic
Serum is Boots Perfect & Protect (bought with £5 off voucher today)
Moisturise with either Simple day cream with SPF30 or Liz Earle Skin Repair Light
PM
Double Cleanse with LE C & P
Acid tone with clearasil pads (tried tonight, didn't sting!)
Spritz with LE tonic
Serum as above
Moisturiser is LE Skin Repair light
Eye creams are Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair and Clinique All About Eyes Roll on. Treatment is twice weekly mask - Superdrug Clearly Youthful glycolic peel off mask (has salicylic, glycolic and lactic acid in it) at this point I have no intention of using anything stronger than listed, my skin is really sensitive and reactive so I'm not prepared to risk burning/peeling!
Can I say a massive thank you to the posters on the old thread who recommended castor oil for eyelashes and Carmex lip blam?
FWIW I have been using a flannel with hot water cleanse since about 1988, ever since I read in my mum's Best magazine that Barbara Daly recommended it! If only I could stick to a diet as long.....
Sorry for the long post!
