Nabootique sorry didn't mean to offend.

Shop · 13/05/2015 03:36

What makes you say that Kundry??

Nabootique · 13/05/2015 08:24

MrsGuy Thanks, that's okay Smile I've never use the flannel on my face and wouldn't so will definitely remember your advice should KP ever strike there!

If you want to go down the Derma flannel route but save some money these are the same thing. They're not regular microfibre cloths, it's the waffle weave, which is the same as the derma flannel.

VeryStressedMum · 13/05/2015 09:50

I'm waiting for my 5% salicylic acid from SR Skincare...after I had ordered it I read the ingredients properly (before would have been handy!) and the second ingredient is isopropyl alcohol.
Now I'm a bit concerned that this is not good, as I try to avoid this type of alcohol. Does anyone know if it's ok or should I not use it?

Nabootique · 13/05/2015 09:53

VeryStressedMum I thought the same thing when mine arrived. I was a bit Shock but as my skin is not sensitive I thought I'd give it a go. I didn't have any problems. Nice smooth skin. I only use it once a week though, because it's potent and have Liquid Gold and other stuff to alternative. I also use it on bumpy arms and bum and rough feet and elbows.

VeryStressedMum · 13/05/2015 10:17

Thanks Nabootique, that makes me feel better about it. My skin is not especially sensitive either so hopefully if I use it just once a week it'll be fine. Great idea for using it on the rest of the body, my dd has the small bumps on the tops of her arms (KP?) so I'm going to get her to use it too. Smile

I was continuously following the old thread and have been on holiday without wifi so didn't keep up to date with this one until now I've read through it all. Some great suggestions and my wish list is getting bigger and bigger! I have been using the CH routine for a good few months and my skin is definitely glowing. Recently added the Clearasil Pads to the mix but they really sting, anyone else having this issue?

Currently Using

AM
Cleanser - La Roche Posay Gel or Ren Clay Cleanser

Acid Tone - Pixi Glow(don't feel its doing much), FAB Pads(really good), Clinique Mild Tone, or Clearasil(stings a lot!)

Second Tone - La Roche Posay Serozinc

Serum - Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful, Ren Radiance Serum, Clinique Smart Serum (sample size from In Style)

Moisturiser - Cerave PM or Vichy Normaderm Anti ageing

PM
First Cleanse - Clinique Take the Day off Balm

Second Cleanse- La Roche Posay Gel or Ren Clay Cleanser

Acid Tone - same as AM

Second Tone - Same as AM

Serum - Same as AM

Treatments when needed - Effaclar Duo (if congested), Trilogy Rose Hip Oil/Clarins Lotus Oil (if dehydrated)

Redermic R/Liquid Gold on alternating days

MrsGuyGarvey · 13/05/2015 10:31

Yazzy what do you make of the Serozinc? I bought some in my initial euphoria when these threads started and now I can't remember why, so I'm not really using it.

yazzy85 · 13/05/2015 10:49

MrsGuyGarvey to be honest I thought it would be better, it has been really hyped up online and everyone was getting excited about it being available in the UK so I gave in and bought it but don't see what the fuss is about..its quite refreshing like a spray of water but I don't think it does much for my skin, next time I might try the Clinique spray CH recommends, that one looks like a proper hydrating one

Thanks TulipBluebell, that really makes sense why my oily and slightly sensitive skin is stinging so much, its the reaction I thought Liquid Gold would give me but that's not been a problem at all. Will scale back and use the Clearasil once a week for now.

NEWS FLASH: You can by acid toning pads (Dr Peter Gross) that contain facial tanner.

Couldn't comprehend how after four days in the US I have a tan - in the north its been freezing bollocks cold since I arrived. Arrived Saturday lunch time and hit Sephora, got the acid pads that are all nice and individually wrapped and then used them every night. Breakfast this morning colleague says Plum, have you been using fake tan? totally shocked - I maintain a pale and not so interesting look - so this is a whole new thing for me - jury's still out!

May have to come and consult you all next week - have come out in spots, and think the entire skin type has change, nothing major but whitehead type spots on nose and forehead, and definite shine aka potential oily - may be travel and water which is chlorine loaded here, so will try and get everything back on an even keel over the weekend.

BradleyCooperwillbemine · 13/05/2015 16:52

I have been using the Clearasil 5 in 1 pads every day for the last 2 weeks and, for the first time in 18 months, I don't have spots on my chin. This obviously makes me very happy, however my chin is now very dry and sandpaperish. I am only using it once per day. Should I try a more gentle acid - maybe lactic acid, or reduce frequency, or try the Effaclar Duo again (which I didn't find that brilliant). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Badgerlady · 13/05/2015 19:15

Bradley- have you tried the Paula's choice 2 % BHA lotion. That is an alternative to the effaclar duo and is quite moisturising. You can get small samples from the website to see if you get on with it.

I think I may buy the CH beauty box BlushBlush

Norfolkandchance1234 · 13/05/2015 22:31

My skin looks amazing after these threads and I think I probably have more product on my shelves right now in the last 2 weeks than the last 10 years but it is so worth it and I love my 2 daily facials which make me feel like I'm looking after myself properly becaus I finally have learnt how.

BradleyCooperwillbemine · 14/05/2015 06:36

Thanks for the advice. Yep I am moisturising afterwards. I think I will leave off the pads until my dryness calms down and then try every other day and see how this works. Not tried the Paula's Choice - will have a little look.

Sallystyle · 14/05/2015 08:34

I need that box!

With the retin I can't really do night time products which is annoying. But I need that box.

I considered the CH box and signed up for the wait list but realised I only want 2 things off there so it's given me the excuse to buy those online and treat myself to one other thing I wanted - will still be cheaper than the box- £140 Shock

Re the oskia microdermabrasion product I thought scrubbing your skin with scrubby stuff was not the done thing anymore? Surprised CH didn't put an acid toner in the box
