Woop, congratulations babyiwantabump what lovely news..

FrugalFashionista · 08/05/2015 17:37

Congrats Baby! You might not need eveen need peels for long, my skin was glorious most of the time when I was pregnant. Hope that will happen to you too!

I'm sorry If I have confused people here with Asian stuff. I've just been so excited to finally find something that works for me. Will tone it down.

Leaving for a brief trip tomorrow - have packed a few extra mini jars of goodies. Going to wear a sleeping mask on the plane Wink

almondcakes · 08/05/2015 17:59

FF, could you do a summary of the Asian products - what each product does and which is the best brand for the product?

TheWombat · 08/05/2015 18:05

Frugal I have really enjoyed learning about the Korean stuff Smile - thank you! Sheet masks look totally addictive. Could you post a link to the site where you bought them cheaply?
If it's confusing to bring it into the CH thread, we could start a second thread for Korean skincare stuff...
I might start Pinterest boards for CH and Korean skincare too..

AttitudeOfGratitude · 08/05/2015 18:14

CH has reviewed Hylamide today here

FrugalFashionista · 08/05/2015 18:17

A new thread might be a great idea - just to keep things less confusing!

So excited CH has reviewed Hylamide- but I have to disagree about the packaging, I really really like the packaging and find the dropper bottle much easier.

Been using for a few days now and it feels lovely, there is a noticeable difference, possibly the wrinkle looks left and for me it just highlights that Hydraluron was a colossal waste of cash Grin

Kundry · 08/05/2015 18:54

GERTI - I can't really do oil at all. I know CH says there are good oils for oily skin but I haven't yet found them - I just stick to being oil free Smile

If your skin is at all oily and you are getting spots/blackheads/dark looking sebaceous filaments on your nose then you should add a salicylic product. If not CH likes using lots of different acids but I'm not totally sure you need to - so you can do whatever you like best.

TheWombat · 08/05/2015 19:05

Kundry I too thought Hydraluron was pants. Sticky rubbish. Interesting to hear you had good results with Hylamide! I love a good dropper bottle!

GERTI I found clarins blue lotus oil good on my combination, v breakout prone skin. But I tend to just use it once or twice a week. I am really nervous about oils as I can break out so easily into painful cysts.

I find combining salicylic acid and glycolic acid products in one routine ok - but go easy. If I use GA one morning, I won't use another GA product in the evening. But I would use an SA product in the evening. That said I have layered an Aplha h GA serum and moisturiser at night before. Oh fickleness, they name is Wombat..

TheWombat · 08/05/2015 19:12

*thy ..

LexLoofah · 08/05/2015 19:20

I started with the Hylamide Subq face and eyes on Sunday evening (based on Kundry mentioning it, sorry I know you will be horrified at me spending on your say so but I had to start somewhere and you know about 1,000 times more about this stuff than me)

I don't have much to compare it to as not really used a serum before except perhaps a Thalgo one years ago. It goes on very nicely, not at all sticky, but thinner than I was expecting but then not sure what I am basing that on.

Perhaps too soon for results, it says 10 days, so we will see. But it does seem like it does a lot for the price. I do look and feel better about my face but because I have started other new things it is hard to say what is making the most difference but I figure it is better than doing nothing which is what I was doing before.

I thought the same thing about the droppers as being very very careful not to knock them over, so easy to do but at the same time would rather my money was spent on product (get me using the lingo) than packaging for the sake of it.

Sallystyle · 08/05/2015 20:36

Ohhh my cystic spot is growing!!

I think I have three cystic spots joined together. The thing throbs.

I keep shoving acid on it but it isn't helping. My husband commented on how lovely and clear the rest of my skin is though. It's like this cheeky little fucker wanted to be super big just to prove it can get past my routine!

TheWombat · 08/05/2015 20:46

U2 do you have any LRP effaclar duo? Saint Hirons also suggests taking antihistamines for big cysts but that sounds rather extreme..

Itsalldramarama · 08/05/2015 20:47

Congratulations Babyiwantabump x
Still sticking my usual routine and so far restrained from the retin A . So want to try it but as some one said its more for spot prone skin and my skin is looking fabulous and have got lots of positive comments but my lines are still driving me mad !! Getting quite obsessed with my frown line !! Seems to have lessened on a morning , reapears during the day and goes again after pm routine !! If only it would stay that way !!

Kundry · 08/05/2015 21:01

U2 stick with it, eventually it will be squeezable or die! I keep sticking Vichy Hyaluspot (or frankly any of the 4 hour spot treatments - complete lie about 4 hours but they have a high acid component) on several times a day until they accept defeat.

Am crossing fingers I have broken through the retin a spots and peeling stage and I'm on the last of my spots.

Sallystyle · 08/05/2015 21:25

Adds effaclar duo to my list.

And takes some antihistamines.

Norfolkandchance1234 · 08/05/2015 21:38

Congrats baby

Good idea also just taken antihistamine as my face is on fire after trying new products tonight.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 09/05/2015 06:24

Our first thread baby! Congratulations baby!

U2, I wish I'd taken a before and after pic of my dd's forehead and then sold it to LRP for publicity purposes....the Effaclar duo is amazing. I keep banging on about it, but she was starting to be really mortified (she's only 11) and had about 40 spots on her forehead. Now, nothing. A few rough bits where they were, but not visible unless you really look.

Thanks all! Incidentally my username is from when I was trying for 16 mo DS for over 2 years - so this happy little accident is a shock!

After a bit of research it appears my glycolic is safe but salicyclic is not - at least I get y still use some of my goodies! Woop!
