HELP! What do I wear to this Xmas Meet-up?

Well, you can tell my the fact im going to the meet-up im a MN regular. I really need help to decide what to wear to this meet up though as im totally clueless about clothes! I won't give away too much but im quite young, brunette, not tall (between 5'1" and 5'4"), bigger than a 14. My DH says he will buy me a new outfit to go to boost my confidence Please help me!

Yes, the Satin top. It looks sooooo much better in RL. It was next to some very dark blue jeans that had gold gliterry stuff on and I was very tempted........

Well I am planning on wearing a red velvet vintage dress I got on ebay (nice and cheap!) but it depends on how it looks when I actually try it on... looks nice on the dressmaker's dummy.
