Well, you can tell my the fact im going to the meet-up im a MN regular. I really need help to decide what to wear to this meet up though as im totally clueless about clothes! I won't give away too much but im quite young, brunette, not tall (between 5'1" and 5'4"), bigger than a 14. My DH says he will buy me a new outfit to go to boost my confidence Please help me!

Thank You lovely stylists!

look at my spelling!

SaintGeorge · 05/11/2006 18:27

Red or green, red or green. Bolleaux, they are both (plus jeans) going to QV's.

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 18:31

I like the green SG.

mustrunmore · 05/11/2006 18:34

In theory, will they let me in wearing jeans? Looks a bit posh for that.

Thanks for the link, but cant risk ebay; things look great until they go on my body Have been looking in thr charity shops, but not easy with a whining toddler And charity shops are getting pricey now, you know...

WelshBoris · 05/11/2006 18:39

I am not the style police*

But I will say this only once, < then the thread will self destruct >

Please all of you wear something that suits you and that you feel comfortable in. Dont go for fashion if thats not what you usually wear, go for a classic look that you will know you'll feel OK in

Its a big city for us non-Londoners and we're all meeting new people. By the end of the night what we wear wont matter a jot, we will all have enjoyed too much to care

There - sermon over

SaintGeorge · 05/11/2006 18:41

Right, hat and cape it is. Is there room to park my broomstick?

mustrunmore · 05/11/2006 18:46

I still dont think they'll let me in wearing my classic style jeans or trackie bottoms

WelshBoris · 05/11/2006 18:48

are you taking the piss out of my speech?

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 18:54

WB - is that what you wanted to CAT me?

WelshBoris · 05/11/2006 18:58

No

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 19:02

o

Tortington · 05/11/2006 19:02

your going to be judged anyway - so might at well be comfortable about it

last year i wasn't and felt like a fat fucker all night - this year am not wearing soething new. i am wearing a trusted black suit i got off e-bay.

i may treat myself to outragous costume jewellery = as unfortunatley i can't enter the best shoes of the evening competition ( that prufrock will probably win) becuase i just cant do uncomfy feet. i think its an age thing. i could pick my ear wax with the things i wore in the 80's

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 19:04

Well... looks like its going to be Jeans and top or black trousers and top As long as you dont get turned away in jeans... dont know what these London places are like

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/11/2006 19:08

LOL!

St G - the red seems to be more suited to your colouring.

Agree - you should all wear what you feel comfortable with. I just happen to feel like dressing 'up' a bit, have had a tough year and am making the most of a much needed night out.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/11/2006 19:13

I very nearly bought the bottom right top the other day....

Tortington · 05/11/2006 19:14

absolutley QV - comfy yet glam.

will be showing some cleavage.

crunchie · 05/11/2006 19:14

custy, no I am winning the shoe competition NOT THAT PRUFROCK BIRD

WelshBoris · 05/11/2006 19:14

The top QV?

mustrunmore · 05/11/2006 19:15

Thats really nice! I've got something similar that I wear alot (but alot cheaper!), but suitable bottoms to wear with it in the evening...

WB, did you CAT me?

mousiemousie · 05/11/2006 19:17

I like this

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 05/11/2006 19:18

FFS, every time!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/11/2006 19:19

You looked lovely though custy, however you may have felt

Jeans are fine, honestly QP. It just happens that I wear jeans pretty much all day so for me, I just fancy a change. There are very, very, few places that refuse jeans. (We are talking harrods and such like!) Dont worry, honestly.

WelshBoris · 05/11/2006 19:19

Very good mousie

Yes I CATd you
