For sunshine, Stans and pretty prints. Pale denim or white broderie.

Whatever you like for Spring, high st or designer.

Marsha do you have a feel for what you are? I wondered about Natural something? She said about people who have that laid back, comes easily style. I thought of you instantly......
Amber are you around? What are you again?
I was trying to remember everyone's style types (who have had it done) but I couldn't
Bernice when is yours?

MarshaBrady · 25/04/2015 17:25

I think natural something too but I doubt dramatic or romantic - not sure between the others. I like the one that says you have to go for nice fibres.

Love the sound of your type, sounds so glam and striking. I usually do when people go into more detail.

It has kind of reinforced the things that I already loved - but given me permission to wear them.
Things like I would rock a tuxedo suit, I should steer clear of small necklaces and intricate jewellery, I don't need to be subtle.
But the nice thing was she got how to translate it into modern style. So Adidas Superstars could be the Dramatic bit of an outfit for example.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/04/2015 17:37

Great info Shop. I am jealous, still sure there is some dramatic in me, just conflicts with my body type.

Didn't you think that the clothes example illustrations in the book were just terrible?

Amber is dramatic gamine
Lib and I are romantic classic
QueenC is ingenue natural
Karbea I can't remember sorry!

I was also told I shouldn't wear cheap fabrics, I need luxury. They do come out with some funny sounding things! I guess in your case it's because you need structure and a perfect fit.

BrandyAlexander · 25/04/2015 17:38

Oooh sounds interesting Shop. I also feel chuffed as I helped you with the KM dresses. Having said that I like your Bella dress. Do you have two? That's not the one I remember.

Really frantic day so just relaxing on sofa with the dcs glued to Peppa Pig. We went to a 4 yo birthday party this afternoon, and I was easily the least glam there. I had a 6th sense and decided to chuck on some tinted moisturiser and nars lippy on the way out. Everyone was seriously made up and lots of lovely clothes and accessories on display. One very gorgeous looking mum was carrying this beauty. Sigh.EnvyEnvy

shopafrolic · 25/04/2015 17:43

I only had the one Bella Novice - I tried it in black and grey for a wedding last year but didn't get it.

Karbea · 25/04/2015 17:44

I'm a natural ingenue too!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/04/2015 17:45

You really would rock a tux shop. I am so Envy, it would be too masculine for me with my 39in hips!

Love miu miu quilted bags novice swoon!

I need to go and get ready, DH and I are going out for a late (10pm!) dinner and cocktails tonight with some friends. Drinks first though. Going to wear red Carven dress and Aquazzuras, I think. I'm doing quite well on the CPW with those!

shopafrolic · 25/04/2015 17:57

Outfit and night out sounds fab Blair Have fun! love those shoes

QueenCardigan · 25/04/2015 18:05

That's exactly how I felt shop - that it gives you permission to wear things you love. Sounds like she's got you spot on and winter is such a good season for dramatic. Winter doesn't sit quite so well with ingenue which I think summer good do really well as the colours themselves are pretty dramatic. You're basicslly the opposite of me. My lapels/collars/jewellery should be small and dainty. No minis or maxis preferably. And I'm softly straight so soft handbags, round toes etc.

Going to wear new navy ravello top tonight with navy trousers I think. I was hoping to paint my nails to add in some colour but won't have time.

Have fun tonight blair. I'll have a sore head buddy in the morning Grin

shopafrolic · 25/04/2015 18:09

It really made me feel fab QueenC - and also explains why I can see what you Pin would really suit you but I could never wear it even though we are both Winters.
Interesting what you say about it being good to be a Dramatic and a Winter - it does seem to work....
So essentially, if you see something you dislike intensely in your colours then send it my way Grin

shopafrolic · 25/04/2015 18:10

Think I may sell my Tom Ford sunnies here to put funds towards the Pradas.......

libertychick · 25/04/2015 18:29

Sounds great Shop. All very you. I'm still struggling with the romantic classic thing - almost feel I need to do the style day again. I think I was so overwhelmed with the colours that the style stuff didn't register as much.

BTW I haven't forgotton the sweater - just still recovering from this week Smile

QueenC I love a 'spend a grand' challenge - I'll do it later when I have DD in bed and have caught up properly.

shopafrolic · 25/04/2015 18:51

No rush Lib it's not like I'll be wearing it until the Autumn!
My thing is I'm not sure how dramatic jewel winter translates to the school run Grin

muddlingalongquitenicely · 25/04/2015 18:51

So im filling in time waiting for DS to arrive home perusing the web for inspiration for next weeks shopping and spotted this website www.shoeaholics.com.

might be online ordering when I get back from dinner!

BrandyAlexander · 25/04/2015 18:53

Lovely outfits QueenC and Blair.Smile Have a great night. Dh flew 6000 miles overnight and landed today so we are definitely staying in tonight!

I would find spend a grand a challenge as nothing is sufficiently moving me to spend at the moment. Don't think I have bought anything in the last 4/5 weeks! I could be tempted by the miu miu matalese though, as I have wanted it for about 18 months.

OneLittleLady · 25/04/2015 19:24

evening all

I knew you'd be a dramamtic something Shop it's definitely very you

I've had a lovely day, Ds has been spoiled rotten but as always has been a ray of absolute sunshine and not at all bratty about it. i had ordered him a handmade cake and OMG was it about twice the size i was expecting! queenC will have seen the pics on FB (for anyone who wants to add me, pm for name) I couldn't believe the size and the amazing quality for what i actually paid

Drywhiteplease · 25/04/2015 20:17

Shop I'll have your Chanel and twin sets then!

How about your Monica V jewelry, will that fit in your style now ?

Wonder what I'd be......classic gamine?Hmm nothing natural about me Grin

DH and DS just back from rugby tour dressed in morph suits, Dh not sober, feeling randy, but the sweaty morph suit isn't doing it for me. Hmm

MarshaBrady · 25/04/2015 20:20

Karbea what types of things do they tell you about natural ingenue? I don't know much about that one. Is it the same as QueenC or a bit different?

OP posts:
Karbea · 25/04/2015 20:30

marsha yes it's the same. I was told to think rock chick!

Topazandpearl · 25/04/2015 21:30

That sounds perfect Shop. I would definitely have Classic in mine but not sure of the rest.

Not having shopped for ages, I had a splurge today:

Zara khaki skinnies
I got these to go with a green silk top I have.

Zara print trousers
I love these. My cream broderie top here goes with these (as well as the khaki skinnies above).

Navy linen shirt
Will go with jeans and my stone cropped trousers.

Pale denim shirt
Still not entirely sure about this. I can see myself wearing it open over a white tshirt and jeans or cropped trousers.

I also bought a Phase Eight top but can't find it to link. It is a navy and cream Breton tshirt with a short sleeved cream lace overlay. It will go over navy trousers and navy skirt, when I get one.

I have also placed a Boden order (two pencil skirts for work and three Ravello tops - following QueenC's recommendation). I will link when I decide if I'm keeping any of them.

Karbea · 25/04/2015 21:46

I didn't list what I got in boden did I.

this in ivory & brown.

this in sherbet orange.

these in white.

this in white.

this in white.

these in white.

this in mandarin.

this in Jaffa.

I also got a white and orange vest and another white tshirt from Tesco, for the grand sum of £11.

mazj4cks · 25/04/2015 22:05

Right shop what's this style thing all about. Sounds fab I need something like that! Smile

mazj4cks · 25/04/2015 22:09

I've come to realise I only tend to do a big clothes shop before a hol which is great but then I don't have much everyday wear!! So I seem to wear the same things to death. I think I need a good daywear shop!

Karbea · 25/04/2015 22:13

mazjacks welcome to my world! I have no everyday daywear.
