Ha! Exactly three years ago!

shopafrolic · 17/04/2015 21:55

Karbea for one week I took
3 bikinis
2 cover ups
2 pairs of sunnies
2 pairs of denim shorts
4 tees
2 casual dresses
3 smart dresses
1 jumpsuit
1 pair of GiGis
1 pair of flip flops
2 pairs of heels
1 pair of espadrilles
Jeans, Bretons, trainers and a jersey jacket for travel
Maybe that will help you form a list?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 17/04/2015 22:03

What are gigis?

Drywhiteplease · 17/04/2015 22:07

Gigis Id never heard of them before coming on here, and, like a lot of things, it took me a while to convert, but I have 2 pairs and they're fab. Amazon often do good deals.

Karbea · 17/04/2015 22:10

Oooo thanks for the link i need a flat sandal though usually cant wear ones with the strap between the toes.

Forgot to say the other day passed a small clothes shop and saw a lovely outfit in the window a pink sundress with turquoise and a deeper pink big flower pattern round the skirt with a lacey turquoise shrug and i bought the whole outfit Grin

Fedupnagging · 17/04/2015 22:39

These are my gigi's. They would be a good colour for you Karbea.

It does sound like you are struggling to make any decisions clotheswise Karbea. Could you head to somewhere like John Lewis and get a personal shopper to help you put a couple of outfits together? Sometimes too much choice can be detrimental IMHO.

Love love those yellow pumps santa; think someone linked similar a while back.

Gorgeous shade of pink Queen, lovely and summery.

Karbea · 17/04/2015 22:48

fedup I agree, which is why I thought about limiting to three colours, then I thought I'd just get it all from boden. There is too much choice, I'm panicking and thinking I need everything!!!! We go,away in less than two weeks so I need to sort something out, otherwise I'll need to find a nudist beach lol!!!!

BrandyAlexander · 17/04/2015 22:48

Hhmm you're making me think about my holiday wardrobe now!Smile

Just lying in bed with L'Occitane candle burning. I had such a fun afternoon with dh and the dcs.Smile

Karbea · 17/04/2015 22:57

I'm listening to dh snoring and looking at the dressing room website.

BrandyAlexander · 17/04/2015 23:12

Karbea if you don't want to spend a lot, then shorts won't be too hard. I have denim cut off shorts from Mango, khaki ones and boyfriend denims from Gap, and Bermuda style from m&s. oh plus printed ones from Ann Taylor. I would recommend any of those. They are basics and you can't go wrong in any of those shops.

I think you're putting too much pressure on yourself to be stylish and that's why you're stressing. I have one expensive cover up that I wear on hols (from Albert a Ferrari

BrandyAlexander · 17/04/2015 23:15

Damn! I was trying to say all of my holiday clothes (except bikinis and one top) are high street. I only wear them for max 4/5 weeks per year and this is where cheaper clothes can still look good if the wear is very little and so you don't have to stress about them getting all sorts of sand, sea and crap on them deep breaths.

shopafrolic · 17/04/2015 23:16

My denim shorts are from Gap (there sexy boyfriend shirts) and some distressed ones from Hush. All my tees are vintage linen v necks from J Crew. Bretons from John Lewis and hush. All of it is on my Pin if helpful Karbea

Karbea · 17/04/2015 23:20

My cover ups aren't expensive one is from asos (animal print), one is from river island, the other is Vix, I've a feeling I've a few others in the loft but waiting for dh to bring them down.
I don't really want to spend much on holiday things really as the do tend to get sun creamed!

QueenCardigan · 18/04/2015 08:04

Dh forced the iPad off me and made me to to sleep last night do didn't get a chance to carry on shopping for you karbea. I will continue now.

My denim shorts are from fat face. Not sure I can link them as their website usually does funny things but I'll try...

QueenCardigan · 18/04/2015 08:09

fatface shorts. I've got the short ones and the Bermuda ones. Their twill/cargo ones are also good. I bought the stone last year but then returned them as realised I didnt really need them. Might get them this year though as we're going on a 2 week summer holiday.

Boden next.....
