Sam Cam on the cover of today's Sunday Times

Can't link, because of the paywall, but if anyone else has seen the picture of Samantha Cameron on the front of today's Sunday Times..... tell me, is this fashionable? Did I miss the memo??

I have the iPad subscription so may see something different to you, but I just see her wearing a white shirt.

Is this the shirt and skirt combo? Saw it on Sky this morning and thought it looked v odd.

I rardly rate anything she wears....she has such weird taste in clothing....even the summer that outfit would look all wrong.

I think it's probably classed as what posh 40 something women wear.

(and before the usual posters start on how she's wonderful and we mustn't comment on her clothes, I'd say the same if it was Maureen down the chippy wearing it, it looks like Maria Von Trapp has been at the soft furnishings again, which as others have said, may well be the look we are all supposed to be aiming for but I think I'll give it a miss. My Mum had some tiles a bit like that in the early 70s)

The shirt is a dead-ringer for DD2's school uniform shirt, and as for the skirt.... well, I'm sure I made one very similar in Domestic Science circa 1982. I will of course be delighted if comfortable elastic waistbands are deemed to be back in fashion.

With all her money you'd think she could do better, really.

I don't get it with Sam Cam. Or with Michelle Obama. I don't like either of their dress styles but they are spoken about as stylish women. This outfit is odd.

I think re Sam Cam and Michelle Obama, nobody expects politicians' wives to be stylish so if the exhibit even the slightest sign of it then the media go wild.. Personally I find neither of them remotely original or stylish..

Skirts nice . Shirts hideous. I think she has a good figure and can carry most things off nicely.
