Noddy - like the shape of those a lot. I want plain tan and ideally with a bit of squidginess in the sole, but still looking flat if that makes sense. They don't exist, sadly.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 30/03/2015 08:47

I like the Esprit one, but the website is a bit rubbish and doesn't tell you the fabric composition? I'm a fan of drop waist, I'm a bit pear shaped and I think it looks youthful and relaxed, I don't like waisted dresses as it emphasises my bum.

I have a Dorothy Perkins drop waist cap sleeve denim one I copied from Belinda's blog last summer, it's ace, can't wait to crack it out again. I went for petite so it's nicely bum skimming. I have a navy jersey dress from Primark in exactly the same shape that always gets loads of compliments.

I lusted after this Current Elliott one last summer too but sold out everywhere (and £££ even when it went on Outnet)

Tallblue · 30/03/2015 09:04

Ballroom I love the Esprit one too, if you hover over 'more info' it shows 100% cotton... I reckon it's a winner!

I actually LOVE the stripy perroona one, Remus. Worried that if I buy I'll see lots of Nans out and about in it tho.

lurkingaround · 30/03/2015 10:08

These htreads take off don't they?

I like the finery dress on the last page noddy. DId you try it on? I wonder is the neckline a bit high? Nice sandals too. Must have a root around their site.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 30/03/2015 11:09

Smile Ballroom I've had lots of great wear out of that Dorothy Perkins dress, too. I only ever look in there for cotton summer clothes, as most of their stock is awful.

Toast Mori dress

I'd buy this if I didn't already have something similar and had both more ££ and legs in a fit state to see the light of day...

BallroomWithNoBalls · 30/03/2015 12:37

I just bought these sandals in my Tesco shop. Much nicer irl, v comfy.

ElizabethHoover · 30/03/2015 12:45

Has anyone linked to this yet? Does it have to be denim?

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 30/03/2015 13:28

I would love that dress, coolcadbury. I got ever so excited that it was in a petite fit, but only size large left. I would need a small, or even extra small, as I find that gap petite comes up big.

The dress could be improved with a collar, I think. And if it wasn't Linen, especially not gap quality linen. Then it would be THE school run dress for me.

CoolCadbury · 30/03/2015 13:43

Yup I agree hiawatha - it would look much better with a collar. I bought a similar petite one but in cotton with a collar last year from Gap. Shame they did not leave it alone.

ElizabethHoover · 30/03/2015 13:52

denim optional

im not a belt person

This thread has amused me. Especially the matching dress and earrings as a marker of style. Excellent.

Remus I have that black TS denim dress and it is a civilised length on me - mid-thigh, so may be worth a punt for you?

MonstrousRatbag · 30/03/2015 13:56

A long one; and a shorter one from Peruvian Connection. Not cheap, but beautiful and comfortable.

I need to hear more about this thing of earrings to match every dress-have I been doing fashion wrongly all these years?

ElizabethHoover · 30/03/2015 14:00

bloody lOVE the earring thing

AND 12 BAGS

this was my SRD last year. I was a little bit pregnant and it was brilliant for over bikinis on holiday.

Am short though!

AmberNectarine · 30/03/2015 14:04

Yeah, you bitches got told.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/03/2015 14:07

Dresses are just so difficult - every year I too hunt for that elusive schoolrun dress but they are either too smart or too beachy.

This thread has totally cheered me up though Smile

ElizabethHoover · 30/03/2015 14:08

we do meet up on the odd thread de temps en temps...

Have had a mega look round shops today and a bit of a spend! Denim dress returned just too many of them and I know I'll get bored and not wear. Zara Gap and HM all nice stuff

ElizabethHoover · 30/03/2015 14:24
