It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

Following on from here

I was gutted that I ran out of time to look in cos or massimoto dutti (probably good not to be tempted by the pink shoes). Next time I'll get an earlier train to maximise shopping time.

It was a lovely day which flew by all too quickly. The venue was a great choice with lovely food and prosecco

Ujjayi is lovely and very easy to talk to her. I can really see her and Marsha sticking it out till the end! Casually elegant in black with a hint of silver.

QueenC was lovely in navy. She proved herself to be the shopping queen as well with her great haul. I am particularly envious of the navy jacket. It's probably just as well for her bank balance that she ran out of time!

Mara's floral print really suited her and went so well with her blue coat. Agree her hair is fantastic (if I wasn't happy with my hairdresser I'd switch to hers). We had a great chat on the train home which made the time go faster.

Fedup looked very chic, showing a way to do casual in a more classic way (white collar under black). We didn't really get to talk as she came later and I had to leave early.

Stokey was also a later arrival. She looked lovely in her burgundy and was so friendly. Both her and Ujjayi fitted right in. Anyway, through posting on the thread, we already knew each other.

Marsha was elegant (as always) in peach and lots of fun. She had some useful pointers about home interiors (which is also vogue!)

Blair looked lovely in pale yellow silk. It was lovely to hear that the wedding is all under control and that she is looking forward to it and the honeymoon. She showed pics from her fitting and her dress looks beautiful on her.

I had a bit of time for shopping beforehand and bought this shirt in blue which I think will be useful for the summer (although I am a bit gutted to see the Euro price as it was £45 Shock). Do they normally have such a price difference?

I ran out of time and didn't get to Banana Republic, which I regretted. Don't know if I could get there any earlier! though! my alarm went off at 5.30 am as it was!

Anyway, after my longest ever post, I'll go. Enjoy Mothers' Day everyone Thanks.

Topazandpearl · 15/03/2015 10:15

PS can't believe that on Mothers' Day the Sunday Times have given us a men's issue of Style Hmm.

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2015 10:22

Lol at home interiors I cringed when remembering, not sure wth I was going on there! Will blame the fizz.

Men's! Not going to buy it then. men's style pah

Drywhiteplease · 15/03/2015 10:26

Stokey I've just ordered the b and w stripy COS jumper, think I'll wear it a lot.
Feeling tempted by QueenC's asymetric AOS top, love asymetric a lot.

QueenCardigan · 15/03/2015 10:30

I won't bother buying ST today then. Hate it when it's mens. dry the top was lovely but looked awful on me. I also couldn't get to grips with their sizing.

Marsha it was about books (and wood) providing colour, texture and palette. I am already looking at my bookshelves differently!

shopafrolic · 15/03/2015 10:48

OOTD is black Paige skinnies courtesy of Linus, grey I&I cashmere sweater, Adidas Superstars and coloured pasta necklace. :)

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2015 10:52

Topaz phew that doesn't sound too bad, I can talk such bumpf when tipsy but that seems ok. It was from a local, very nice, curtain shop many years ago, always remembered it.

Nice Shop.

We'll go out later, in the meantime there's nothing like a large , empty dishwasher box for keeping dc entertained for ages.

Topazandpearl · 15/03/2015 11:04

Marsha did I remember it right? I was tipsy too!

Topazandpearl · 15/03/2015 11:06

Presume the pasta necklace was a Mothers' Day gift shop? Very sweet.

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2015 11:09

Sure did!

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2015 11:17

Also should say Stokey there til the end too Grin. Great place that last one.

Ujjayi · 15/03/2015 11:26

Morning & Happy Mother's DaySmile

Loved every minute of yesterday. Everyone looked fab & the chat & prosecco flowed easily. Mara & Topaz have given me serious hair envy. Loved QueenC's haul. So dedicated was she to the cause that she even squeezed in a second burst of shopping mid-MUGrin. Marsha, I knew exactly where you were going on the interiors issue Wink. Thank you Marsha & FedUp for movie recs. Am planning to watch Blue Jasmine later. Blair is incredibly elegant. You will look stunning on your wedding day. Stokey jumped right in mid MU looking fab & I loved the trainers you had on. So great to put faces to names but funnily enough you were all as I expected you to be.

As a first time MU Voguette I would encourage all others who haven't been to a MU to brave it & come along. It was such a laugh & so relaxed & welcoming.

En route to the MU I bought a Zadig & Voltaire cream silk blouse with raw edge & tacking detail. I'll link later. And a mustard midi skirt that I'm not sure about but might look good with black merino crew neck & black heels. Will try on later.

DCs have treated me to gorgeous bouquet & are taking me out to buy some new trainers to replace my battered Converse. I think probably Adidas Gazelles or Campus in cobalt & white.

Happy Mother's Day Flowers

Shop pasta necklace takes me back, remember making them for my dm back in the day. Lovely. Agree get ds checked if you're not sure.

Betty glad yesterday went well.

The mu was fab, can't write too much as in the car (as passenger!) and will get ill. On way for slap up lunch out Dry's way. Glad you got bracelet back btw. Outfit is brown silk marni dress with beige stars & black collar. Opaques & black patent ferragamo flats. Anyway, yesterday felt like meeting up with old friends even though we've only met twice or for first time. Lovely to meet Ujj and Stokey, gorgeous girls and great company. Back later with more.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 15/03/2015 11:40

Love the MU updates. Stokey love the sound of Hush dress and high tops. Lots of lovely outfits by the sound of it.

Mara I love love love your outfit today. Glad you confirmed you are passenger in the car!

Ujj you have pinned some glittery topshop shoes I have too - how are you planning to wear them? I think gazelles would work well for you.

Intrigued by QueenC 's mid MU shopping trip?! Lovely haul esp the BR blazer.

Marsha and Topaz tipsy interiors chat sounds good.

Dry glad you got your bracelet back.

Shop def take DS - hope all is well. Also loving the sound of your outfit and ahhh to the pasta necklace.

Ringing the changes today by wearing a skirt (me and em ruched) rather than jeans, with breton, leather jacket and biker boots - will probably freeze when out but am tired of big coats and jeans.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2015 11:56

He's walking a little better now and 111 said wait 24 hours and see. We're going to head for the cinema to keep him sat (but occupied). Back later.
Love it when newbies enjoy their first MU. Flowers to you all

Ujjayi · 15/03/2015 12:00

Bernice if you look at my Outfit of the Day board you can see them with turned up straightleg jeans. I was also wearing navy silk blouse layered over a white tee. For me, they are going to be a dressed down daywear shoe for spring & autumn. I tried them with opaques & ankle socks but felt too Grayson Perry for me. Perhaps once I've worn them in I will try again with opaques.

OneLittleLady · 15/03/2015 12:28

are those the same glittery shoes I have ujj?

Feeling pretty rotten today as i slept really badly but must get on with assignments, I've only got a week to finish them now!

Ellisisland · 15/03/2015 12:29

Happy mothers day all

Drywhiteplease · 15/03/2015 12:29

Ooooh Mara exciting! is it where we discussed once?
Shop I'm being thick, what do your codes mean? OOTD? PFB? UCC?

shopafrolic · 15/03/2015 12:34

Dry Outfit Of The Day
Precious First Born
Urgent Care Centre

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2015 12:50

I knew 2 of 3. But wasn't sure on UCC

Dh has taken the dc swimming, then we are going out to lunch together. Which is good as I have the hangover jitters.

Ujjayi · 15/03/2015 13:08

Shop - Hope DS foot situation resolved soon.

One yes same shoes. I've seen you wear them with opaques on Instagram & love them. So will def try again.

Marsha - me too! Was bright as a button first thing but feel in need of a big lunch & a disco nap now Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/03/2015 13:10

Hi all and hope you're being spoiled for Mother's Day :)

Marsha I do too, though I didn't think I had drunk that much as it was over several hours. Urgh. Was worth it though, thanks for a really nice time everyone that came. Agree that last place was a great find.

It was lovely to meet Ujj and Stokey, who were exactly as I imagined :) I won't mention outfits as that's been done (everyone looked great) but I loved that topaz and I were wearing the same Uniqlo silk shirt and Pistols (with honorary mention to Mara in her Colts which looked fab).

Thanks all for indulging the wedding chat! I'm on proper countdown now and have been listening to music ideas this morning. Loving Canon in D for the processional and possibly Ode to Joy for walking out. Hope DP agrees. I can't see us having anything other than classical music really, maybe an instrumental version of a song during the register signing. It's so difficult...

shop hope your DS is ok and that he improves soon, enjoy the cinema.

Flowers to all!
