It's March. Spring is in the air. We are looking forward to losing layers and baring ankles.

This is the volume of the hen do and wedding. Will queen manage to get shop to wear penis boppers Grin. And will we all shed a tear when the beautiful blair gets married.

I've booked an opticians appointment for Friday, so I'll be nagging you all for glasses recommendations soon!

Beautiful day here too, I took the dogs to Northala fields today, normally we go to forests or fields but the view is amazing and thought it would be great today.

Ujjayi · 10/03/2015 17:30

Just popping in really quickly to ask if anyone copped the Zoolander moment at Maison Valentino's presentation for PFW? Hilarious - all over Instagram or google for details!

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2015 17:34

I just found it on pin. That is hilarious!

They look exactly the same as in the movie.

Karbea · 10/03/2015 17:35

ujj this is probably a really dizzy blonde question... But was it actually them? They looked like lookalikes I thought this when I met Rod Stewart too, so it's probably me being blonde!

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2015 17:35

Big wave to Ellis and Undecided, in the homework zone, back later.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/03/2015 17:36

Yes saw it Ujj Grin

Welcome Ellis, how exciting to have all those trips. Love the Lanvin.

I am so stressed. The hotel's food and drink prices have increased since I signed my wedding contract, and they are trying to justify charging me the higher prices, despite me having an email from them months back assuring me that they would "honour" the prices in the CONTRACT that I SIGNED. I mean seriously??? And loads of other things they've got wrong, but that's the worst. I literally can't wait for it to be over.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 17:38

OMGGGGGGG Ellisisland welcome - weeps at the base of that gorgeous Lanvin. Stunning - love it.
Do you have the All Saints dress yet? The one I ordered has arrived today and although I haven't tried it on yet, it seems quite thin and may expose lumps and bumps. Not sure about grey for a wedding? I love the dress though. Will you be dressing it up with jewellery / bag? Stick around - it's fun here. :)
Undecided you too - and no more F word please :) You'll find lots of motivation here :)
Amber Thanks Thanks Love the Jigsaw suede shoes. Great quality, great heel height. Useless for holiday really but will keep them nonetheless as I'll wear them heaps elsewhere.
So I need to find some heeled sandals to wear with the red and pink KM dress. this one

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 17:42

They were filming for Zoolander 2...... they were real Grin

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 17:42

Deep breaths Blair on the day you simply will not give a shit I promise. You won't stop smiling. :)

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 17:55

Oh and GORGEOUS bargains pink suede clutch is a keeper and will come on holiday
And this clutch matches the shoes so will keep but more likely to use for AW.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 17:56

That should have read bargainous! is that even a word?

santamarianovella · 10/03/2015 17:58

Omg that was gold! Style.com says that caraD might be in the movie too!

libertychick · 10/03/2015 17:59

Blair stay calm and firm. If you have an email confirming they would honour prices at time of booking then you have a contract for those prices. Lots of deep breathes and just keep stating your case and don't engage on a discussion about prices going up. It will all be fine and you will have an amazing day.

Welcome Ellis. The All Saints dress is lovely but I am wondering if the material makes it look a bit casual especially for an Irish wedding where people tend to over rather than under dress. I'd be tempted to pair it with some sort of jacket...will have a think. The Lanvin is gorgeous.

Karbea · 10/03/2015 18:04

shop could you wear these?

Karbea · 10/03/2015 18:06

Or these which are probably all wrong, but I really like.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 18:19

Need something a bit more pinky red toned but thanks Karbea
Lib Flowers for you now. All Saints dress is a definite keeper! Love it.

Ellisisland · 10/03/2015 18:19

Thanks for the welcome Smile

shop Yep it is quite thin. A lot of All Saints dresses are I find. If I wear a control slip under it, it hides the lumps! It is a gorgeous dress but I am rubbish at dressing for weddings as I am never quite sure what is suitable and there seems to be a lot of rules around being a wedding guest Confused also accessorising I am rubbish at. I never wear jewellery so struggle to make things look not too plain and boring !

Blair when I got married we decided to go away and got married in Italy with just a few guests so booked a restaurant for the meal after. Thinking that a set menu would be easier I just agreed to the first one the restaurant sent me. Unfortunately i got it wrong and instead of booking a choice of 2 options and 4 courses it was 1 option and 8 courses plus cake ! Not wanting to offend the lovely chef who got the whole restaurant staff to clap us when we arrived we ate it all but I was green at the end of it! Anything that doesn't go according to plan becomes a funny story on and after the day Grin

Ellisisland · 10/03/2015 18:24

Good point liberty about the All Saints being too casual. Hadn't thought of that. Maybe a dramatic hat ?! Grin my grandmother always wears the same outfit to weddings and funerals but has a collection of amazing hats she rotates. I may have to take some notes from her !

I loved the zoolander catwalk video! It's here for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Drywhiteplease · 10/03/2015 18:43

Ellis heloooooooo . Swoon at the gorgeous Lanvin, adore the colour, the shape, the neckline....fab. And Googling CU wardrobe......I'm off to have a really good look.
AS is nice but not weddingy ....but then I do dress up a lot, adore a wedding outfit I do.
Blair nooooooo, please don't wish it were over, it will honestly be the best day of your life and crappy stresses now will seem insignificant. You have a signed contract, that's what you pay.

Zoolander....classic!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/03/2015 19:05

I know it will be amazing, but I won't forget the hassle in a hurry - I'm never planning a wedding again that's for sure! It's like having a second job at the moment. All the suppliers except the hotel have been an absolute pleasure to work with Hmm

Getting married in Italy sounds lovely Ellis, woah at 8 courses in a presumably fitted dress though! We are having canapes, 4 courses and a buffet and my dress does not stretch Grin

I agree the AS dress may be a bit casual, it's the colour not the shape.

maradesbois · 10/03/2015 19:16

Love the Zoolander moment!

Ellisisland welcome. Am swooning at your Lanvin too, so beautiful. I really like the AS one too. With heels and a belted trench think it would be great for a wedding. I don't think the style suits adornment with jewellery and if you're not into accessories anyway keep it simple and minimal.

Blair don't say that, you'll sort this out and will have the most wonderful day. As Lib said you have a contract which both sides are bound by. Not the same situation but when dh bought my Birkin bag Hermès tried on the same thing, invoicing for price hike that had happened between ordering and delivery. He point blank refused and quoted contract law at which point they backed down straight away.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2015 19:24

Ellisisland What about the All Saints dress I've just bought - might be easier to dress up? The reduced pink suede Jigsaw clutch I linked further upthread works well with it.......

So.... the agenda for the Grand Cayman trip has just come through. The wardrobe may need a rethink. It goes something like this for evenings:
Monday, Tuesday and Weds - our own time so resort casual
Thursday - welcome reception - Resort Casual
Friday - Dine Around Town so whatever is appropriate for the restaurant we choose
Saturday is where the problem comes:
Gala Evening White Party on the Beach - cocktail reception, dinner and then dessert and drinks in one of the hotel restaurants!!!!! Attire Resort Evening All White !!!!!
ALL FRICKING WHITE????? Evening wear but on the beach????
Help ladies! Help! DH is having kittens - trust me he would not suit all white!! Any ideas? Will the Karen Millen white with black lace work or will I not get away with it?
