Which trainers are fasionable to wear with skinny jeans these days? I can't get on with my converse ones as they really hurt my feet.

New balance or roshe run

yazzy85 · 19/02/2015 11:15

do you need to size up for the roshe run and new balance?

I'm only a 4 so I buy kids trainers and I need to go up a size but that could be cause I'm buying kids as in the Nike hurrache I had to get a kids 5.5!

stripytees · 19/02/2015 12:06

I went up a size in New Balance (from a 4 or 4 1/2 to a 5) and that was definitely the right thing to do.

yazzy85 · 20/02/2015 10:35

I tried the new balance in a size up from normal, the 420s but they were still too narrow in the front. I don't think anything will be as comfortable and stylish as the suede pumas Grin

I have given up on buying trainers, and bought more Converse instead. All of the trainers looked terrifying. I'm going to try to find some lovely bouncy insoles instead.

yazzy85 · 20/02/2015 22:43

Remus let me know which insoles work well in the converse if you find some

Another trainer junkie here - might just have to pick up a pair of Nike Internationalists. Dam this thread!

southeastastra · 21/02/2015 21:31

am saving my liberty print air Max for what I do not know but they are so lovely all new Grin

Madamecastafiore · 21/02/2015 21:34

Trainers are for the gym or running, not something to wear otherwise in my opinion.

I wear Ash or Elia B slip ons. Have the black and am going to treat myself to the snakeskin for the spring.

southeastastra · 21/02/2015 22:13

nope trainers are the best comfortable footwear for everyday life. people who wear ash are a little fashion victim imo.

noddyholder · 21/02/2015 23:13

The river island snake trainers are fab

Skivvywoman · 22/02/2015 17:34

Noddy I need to get them and also the slip onsWink

cardamomginger · 22/02/2015 17:48

I just bought the black Stan smiths with the leopard print at the back and a pair of off-white Fred Perry's with navy suede at the back. (ASOS) Both lovely and really comfortable.

BatonRouge · 22/02/2015 19:34

I'm obsessed with keeping mine 'box fresh' Grin If I ever get mud on my Air Max 90's I aint appy!

yazzy85 · 23/02/2015 11:12

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Nike Pegasus 83, just received a pair from schuh and they are fab! Comfortable and not narrow like the new balance were.

I love my black converse high tops I find them really comfortable. I also wear my white new balance trainers I found them in a charity shop for £3.50 they were brand new I was so pleased at finding them one of my best finds. I also have a pair or plain black high top trainers from dune and cream wedge trainers from matalan I have had them for about two years and I wear them to death. I really want a pair of black and white nikes next or maybe some non high top converse as dp has nicked my red ones.

MissBlake · 23/02/2015 12:40

Yazzy I love those, very tempted to order a pair! They are just like what I have had in mind.

curlingandtwirling · 23/02/2015 13:58

I've been pondering this very same question. I love the Nike Pegasus.

Reminded me of this...

Victoria Beckman wears Stan Smiths!

curlingandtwirling · 23/02/2015 13:59

yeah Beckham you know who I mean Confused

MissBlake · 23/02/2015 14:11

Curling did u click the link? Certain colours are reduced to around £40 cant remember exactly though sadly not in black or burgandy which is what I will going for but cant decide between them.

yazzy85 · 23/02/2015 14:56

MissBlake I love the black ones I have as they will go with everything but I am also tempted to order the burgundy ones too, that deep reddish shade is really popular in trainers at the moment

Decisions decisions, although I really like the black ones. Grin

noddyholder · 23/02/2015 16:24

I love my new balance but all the Mary Berry type OAPs wear them here with pink or pale blue skinny jeggings

Naicecuppatea · 23/02/2015 16:27

I saw some young girls (well compared to this old hag!) in Adidas Gazelles, trainer socks and ankle length skinnies in Top Shop. They looked great.
