Happy Birthday One and Sleep. I agree about American Apparel One, the skirts and dresses are getting shorter and so are the tops, I think it's definitely going for a more teen audience these days, mybe competing with the likes of Hollister? They're good for hoodies though!

Great link Shop, that lady looks fantastic. I not patient enough to do the whole charity shop search thing but I have a friend who always finds great buys.

Katie Holmes looked amazing, a great winter purple. I always love Julianne Moore too, looks like metallics are a big trend. And I don't know who she is but Felicity Jones is wearing the kind of dress I love seeing at these things, real classic Hollywood.

For me Keira Knightley at the GGs is Romantic gone too far.

Do not like Rosamund Pike's dress at all, although she looks v pretty, with make up etc.

Not keen on Amal's white gloves

Read your link Shop; what a great idea - she obviously has a fantastic sense of style. I went into a charity shop on the Kings Road recently but didn't find anything I liked. I was really disappointed.

Agree Katie Holmes looks good in that colour although her dress looks a bit creased. I usually love all Amal's fashion choices and I think she is stunning but white gloves don't go with her dress at all. Keira Knightly's dress defo belongs on the RC board Blair linked.
Can't believe that lady in Shop's link is 46 she looks so much younger.

sienna looks different,like the way renee zellweger looks different now , but not in good way,her skin looks harsh. Somthing is odd,

But to be honest, think Eddie redmayne was the hottest and best dress person there, wow! And I was never a fan, his Wife looked so pretty.they make a lovely couple .

I have made my first purchase using my new little colour book - as usual TKMaxx has come to the rescue and I got this dress which I sincerely hope is forest green!! Seriously, I am colour blind. Even with a fabric swatch to match against I was doubting myself. But I think it looks good on me which is the main thing .

Then keeping Novice's advise in mind I bought this in Accessorise to wear with it.

Lib I like the dress, nice soft curves in it and the asymmetric detailing - can't comment on the colour as i'm sure it's slightly different in real life. It can help to use the opposite side of the entire swatch book against a large item to see at a glance if the colours "tone".

The necklace is pretty, mirrors the neckline of the dress. Not sure if it might be a bit long though? Maybe that's just my taste.

The dress is perfect, Liberty.

Thanks for GG dress links. I loved Diane Kruger and Helen Mirren's and thought Kate Hudson looked fab. All too often at these things the big dress takes over completely from the wearer but thought Kate made a big plunging Versace number work with her laid back style. As for the men it's Benedict all the way for me .

Liberty that green dress is fab and looks perfect for you. Good old TK, what would we do without it?!

Santa think mrblair already has sexy loungewear covered with his onesie . Whispers my dh may or may not actually own a paisley silk dressing gown.

If he wears the onesie and I wear that "fabulous" monstrosity then our wedding night will certainly be errr memorable!!

Don't kick me off the thread for this but I would love a knitted bed jacket like my grandma used to wear for reading at night. Would make one if I could knit!
