Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

I'm 5ft so one of the petite ladies. I think I will do the style day, but once I get used to my colours.
The consultation at the hairdressers was good, I really liked the girl and she completely got the issues I had with my current highlights, she felt the ash tones were too cool for me, so we are going warmer, hopefully hoc lady will agree otherwise I'll have to get the hairdresser to do a 360. I'm fairly sure I'm warm rather than cool as I definitely have a yellowy undertone to my skin.
I was good and didn't look at clothes I did buy some kerastase shampoo and conditioner and after looking at paulas choice website a face wash from the body shop, I'd not been in there since I was 16!

Drywhiteplease · 09/01/2015 16:53

Have just searched "classic gamine looks" on Pin and most of the pics are on my "looks I like" Pin board! I have a style Grin

libertychick · 09/01/2015 17:15

Yay dry! And you didn't have to pay for a HoC session so in my world view that would mean I could spend the money 'saved' on clothes!

Sorry muddling this stuff is like another language!

And shop forgot to say well done on selling the Joseph leggings for a good price. What a relief!

libertychick · 09/01/2015 17:16

Overuse of ! Maybe Grin

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 17:19

Phew Shop bet you're relieved about the leggings.

One enjoy your weekend made all the more sweeter by your great results

Karbea · 09/01/2015 17:51

Have you seen this Victoria Beckham interview? I really like her when she's like this, but I think her outfit swamps her.

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 18:01

Oh God Karbea she is so over rehearsed. I do like her, I've seen her interviewed before and she is definitely more fun than she appears but that was v scripted...... and I still want to know about your Botox and whether you're happy or did I miss it?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 18:04

Is there such a thing as a black and white breton? Or does it just become a black and white striped top?

OP posts:
Karbea · 09/01/2015 18:05

Yes she is over rehearsed but you can tell she thinks it's silly.
Anyway, botox, I'm not entirely sure it's taken 100% did I tell you I bled quite a lot as I'd eaten a lot of watercress? I'm kind of worried the blood washed it away... Can that even happened? I think the wrinkles look less but I still have loads of movement, not sure if this is good or not. I had coffee with two gfs this afternoon and they said I looked really well, so may be it's ok.

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 18:11

Sounds positive Karbea - especially the lack of frozen face :)

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 09/01/2015 18:12

Had no idea about watercress

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 18:19

Watercress? I missed that... What about watercress?
Feel better soon Santa&co

Drywhiteplease · 09/01/2015 18:19

Hmm really not sure about VB. Like her style, dresses especially, think she's achieved a lot and I like the "family" thing, seems genuine enough, is she a role model for my daughter? Not sure, there's something about her....anyone else feel like that?
Shop missed that about the leather leggings.....great news!
liberty thanks for justifying a big spend for me!
Marsha I'd love to turn up to a MU in those jeans! just to see your Shock faces
betty join me in a little gamine skip.............

muddlingalongquitenicely · 09/01/2015 18:32

At least its one of the good things to google from mumsnet liberty unlike the billy bug thread (i only googled the bug nothing else in that thread)

Karbea · 09/01/2015 18:34

It can thin your blood, and I'd eaten loads in my soup.

QueenCardigan · 09/01/2015 18:38

I can't bloody stand Victoria beckham.

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 18:49

Aha. I didn't know that either. I knew alcohol could because I got told I shouldn't have drunk the night before my tattoos.

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 09/01/2015 18:55

Pretty sure I was drunk when I got most of mine shop!

maradesbois · 09/01/2015 19:08

Marsha not a bad view of life! Dh and I are definitely on that wavelength.

Stokey love the dress you linked. Are you coming to March mu?

Shop v happy for you re selling the leggings.

Dry diagnosis sounds spot on. So what are you going to buy with the money you've saved not going to hoc? Grin

Santa get well soon.

Karbea your hairdresser sounds good. Think the Botox can take up to about 10 days to kick in properly but they'll top it up if they deem it hasn't worked properly.

Lib haha re Rolf. Know what you mean about the pesky half stone. It's not enough for anyone else to notice but for me there is a half stone window that makes the difference between dress sizes. I've been doing really well with 5:2 and lost a stone since last summer with another half to go before am back in my comfort zone of small 12/large 10 but it feels good that things that had gone too tight are fitting again. The good think about an expensive label habit is that I won't accept it never fitting again and sizing up! Have a red stella dress from about 5 years ago that is my barometer, how it fits tells me much more than number on the scales.

Blair enjoy your day tomorrow.

Re VB I do know what you mean Dry can't quite put my finger on it either but not role model for me either. She is certainly bright and very focused, ambitious and deserving of her success but I still can't get my head around becoming a top fashion designer almost overnight and not sweating it out at central st martins etc.

shopafrolic · 09/01/2015 19:20
