Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

I'll have to live vicariously through you guys.

Speaking of which, Sleep did you have a bag in mind? Meant to ask ages ago.

Karbea · 08/01/2015 21:40

liberty what do you think you are?

MarshaBrady · 08/01/2015 21:40

And the HOC days of course! Exciting

justasecond · 08/01/2015 21:45

Thanks for the hugs Lib these are scary times for all of us but the most important thing is to stick together and not let them cause division among us otherwise the crazy bastards will have won.

In fashion news I have been mulling over this whistles coat that dsis ordered for me with her Next VIP. It looks lovely on and was a good reduction but was still £170 should I spend so much on a coat this time of year and will I find something better in the Autumn. I already have a coat this colour but in a different style.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2015 21:52

I'm so excited too, I can't believe me, my Dsis and Lib are all doing style on the same day and then Karbea 5 days later, can't wait! Lots of fun diagnoses.

Shame it's too late for sales shopping though :/

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/01/2015 21:57

It's lovely justa, I think if you love it then you don't need to worry about getting wear out of it this spring because it's so classic. But you'll probably wear it for another 3 months first anyway.

Drywhiteplease · 08/01/2015 22:53

Wow liberty I've got nothing to complain about compared to you.......

Wicker basket lined with cotton bag here. DD has one like this
Quite like this one for darks one for lights
very nice

libertychick · 09/01/2015 00:01

karbea I think I might be summer. I will be really shocked if I am spring or autumn. It would keep life simple if I am winter as I have so much black.

Style wise I really haven't a clue. This is the bit I am most interested in as I struggle to define my style and while I feel sure about what I don't like I struggle to feel clear about what I do like. I often buy things I like but then struggle to style them and I get into a muddle over big purchases like bags or coats as I worry that I am making a mistake. No matter how often I read summaries about style types I can't pin myself down Smile

libertychick · 09/01/2015 00:05

Great coat justa. I think it would really suit you. But more and more I think if you have doubts don't buy. There is always nice clothes around!

The crazies won't win

libertychick · 09/01/2015 00:05

Are not is. Time for bed...

maradesbois · 09/01/2015 01:14

So, I've failed dismally in my mission to get early nights and not faff about on iPad. For no particular reason apart from being inspired by QueenC's fantasy wardrobes have spent the past hour choosing DVF dresses for MNVers (those who I've met or know what look like irl).

Here goes Grin:

this for Lib.

purple for One.

this for me.

full length and fabulous for Novice!!!

casual for Santa.

classic for Dry.

70s elegance for Marsha.

Think Betty can work animal print like this or this.

Amber maybe too safe? but fab colour.

Topaz smart workwear to evening drinks. I saw this on a lady in Cannes and it looked so chic.

Zarita for Linus (have seen this irl, is not purple at all, more ultramarine blue). Also this wrap.

ivory lace for bridal Blair (n.b. It's ivory not white, thought has been put into this!).

Shop by day and lbd for evening.

this for QueenC. I hesitated between you and Dry for this one.

Fedup for a black tie do.

And last but not least this for Sleep (dressed down with flip flops at a beach bar in Ibiza for example).

Sorry if I forgot anyone, need to go to sleep now. Night night. Xx

Drywhiteplease · 09/01/2015 07:51

Well done Mara, mine is indeed very me.

libertychick · 09/01/2015 08:34

Great choices Mara. I love mine! I think the Pritha dress you picked for santa would be fab on Marsha too.

QueenCardigan · 09/01/2015 09:40

Love that mara as it doesn't have the exposed zip like the zarita.
justa if you love it keep it but as lib says there if in doubt then no
lib I'm not sure what style you'll be either.....

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/01/2015 10:02

mara I can see everyone in all of those! The Voguette DVF love continues :)

I actually thought about getting married in the ivory Zarita, as I like mine so much, but they didn't do it in a longer length and it's pretty short. Also I had to admit my venue needs a full length dress.

lib i can see you having some ingenue or romantic in there I think...

bettykt · 09/01/2015 10:20

Wow Mara some fab links, I like the animal print, good choice especially as and I've just ordered this leopard blouse to wear with my black bistros or black Dannies.

Justa go with your gut instinct over the coat, if you really really love it and will wear it loads, keep it, if you're undecided maybe take it back.

Just realised I've broken one of my 2015 rules by buying that blouse, it's not quality product, but I have been looking at it for a while so is not an impulse purchase Grin No more spends for me until ss. Well there is one but just need to find it at the right price!

Right off the do more chores, wearing my JCrew plaid shirt again, think cpw for this will be good, have teamed it with charcoal skinnies and wore red MaxMara coat, NB trainers and grey D&G scarf on the school run.

Stokey · 09/01/2015 11:35

Love those links Mara , I'd like this one if I had somewhere to wear it.

Good luck for all the HoC people this weekend and Karbea for next week. I have just received this bright pink jumper which I would never have bought pre HoC - it still seems pretty bright but I'm trying.
Have you got your pyjamas yet Betty amd Marsha? My bumblebee ones just arrived and am tempted to put them on right now, amazingly soft. I'm slightly regretting not buying the top too now.

OneLittleLady · 09/01/2015 11:49

love the dress you picked for me mara purple is my favourite colour too!

excited about tonight, wish i didnt have the tail end of this illness though, thats the only bad thing this week which makes a change Grin Grin Grin

bettykt · 09/01/2015 11:52

Stokey my pyjamas arrived on Wednesday and I put them on straightaway they were really soft, wore them round the house with Ugg style slippers.

Looking forward to hearing how all the HOC days go tomorrow and next week.

MarshaBrady · 09/01/2015 11:55

Stokey mine haven't arrived yet and I was just thinking about them. Hope they hurry up!

Really lovely links Mara. I don't actually have any DvF. Nice to see it.

Nice Betty

libertychick · 09/01/2015 12:40

Your outfit today sounds great Betty.

Blair I think maybe ingenue, maybe a bit classic...lots of gamine type looks really appeal to me but I'm not petite. I'd be surprised if there was any dramatic or natural... romantic does appeal but I worry that the floaty look runs the risk of making me look a bit chunky.

Any thoughts about what you and your sister will be?

Actually Hopefully or Travellin (if you are around) does being overweight affect your style type? I am about half a stone over where I usually am and it's all on my boobs and tummy which is unusual for me, I usually gain on the hips, middle age/ peri menopause is definitely catching up. I should say I will not be skinny when I lose the half stone I will lose the half stone, just back to my normal 10/12 top, 12/14 bottom.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/01/2015 12:55

It sounds like you will still be the same shape lib, half a stone is not that much is it? and I'm sure half a stone doesn't make you overweight but I know what you mean :)

I really don't know for my sister, I can tell if something will suit her or not but can't translate that to style type. Possibly a bit Romantic. As for me, I've wondered for a while if I am some combo of classic and dramatic, but I'm not very dramatic (not tall etc) so could be completely wrong.

Our day tomorrow is starting at 8.45am and ending at 5 - intense!

libertychick · 09/01/2015 13:05

I think amber is dramatic gamine and she's not tall.

libertychick · 09/01/2015 13:06

Just me for my day so starting at ten and hope to be done by 4 at latest.
