Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

Novice lovely colours but, like Amber am too pale for that warmth.

Dry meant to say I love all of your new stuff, adore a crisp white shirt and a camel/white/black combo.

BrandyAlexander · 06/01/2015 22:41

That's a pity Amber! Very annoying that it's just sat there.

Drinkies and satc box set = bliss.Envy Hope your dh back soon.

So to complete my shame tonight..... Yes there is a third time.Blush

This one is the Dior celebration eye palette. Again, think I used it for one day before I changed my mind and decided it didn't suit me. If you fancy it, please let me know.

I can only tell you about these things on here because I didn't have much credibility on here in the first place! Wink

Fab! Just pm me your full name and address and I will get it off to you. Definitely nothing for it! Postage will be like 50pGrin That's well worth it. Dh wants a shelf in my our bathroom, so every little helps!

sleepwhenidie · 06/01/2015 23:51

Oh Santa, so Sad for you losing your beautiful scarf...and you too Amber (also laughing too at you though Grin), you lush!

I don't know if you remember by almost lost (already replaced under insurance Blush) diamond bracelet that was wedding present from DH story...well I thought I'd lost it again on Monday. For some reason I realised at 5am that it wasn't on my wrist (clearly I am so paranoid about losing it I even check it is there in my sleep Hmm) and shot out of bed in a panic, sure I'd been wearing it the night before. Combed the streets of St Ives in the dark, with the horrible awareness that it wasn't covered for full value under insurance because I never got around to sending off the certificate to update the policy Blush. Not to mention what the insurance might say about the same item getting lost twice in two years! Felt so sick...10am, after longest 5hrs ever, DIL's finally got up so I went to look around their place as we'd been there for dinner the night before. Found bracelet (with a broken link) in the rug...OMG the relief!

sleepwhenidie · 06/01/2015 23:53

Novice you are very funny. How the hell can you lose a Mulberry purse still in the packaging?? How big is your house? Grin

sleepwhenidie · 06/01/2015 23:54

Also LOL'ing at you Mara, disposing of DH Grin

sleepwhenidie · 06/01/2015 23:58

Sorry I'm gradually working backwards through pages of thread - QueenC I love the Boden shoes! Lib thanks for the TKMaxx tip off Flowers

OneLittleLady · 07/01/2015 02:24

novice if the first one hasn't been claimed, I'll take it off your hands for my sister, perfect perfect colours for her. If it's gone though, it's gone Smile

Yes, another nights broken sleep so I'm using the time to study for my exam. Tutor left a lot of good revision slides for us so using those.

shopafrolic · 07/01/2015 08:04

Morning all - damnit - missed the Dior giveaway

Fedupnagging · 07/01/2015 08:12

Just popping in to say good luck to One for your exam today. It sounds like you have been working so hard so you are bound to do well.

Queen hope you are feeling better today.

Novice, didn't you lose a watch last year too?

Phew, sleep that was a close one with your bracelet.

A friend accused a 'naice' restaurant of losing her scarf just before Christmas. They spent ages looking for it. She found it in the sleeve of her coat which she didn't put on until after we had left the premises. To her credit, she called them the next day to apologise!

I love those LKB navy shoes - and the boden ones. Not too much else has caught my eye so far from boden.

Dry, love the camel skirt - it's such a classic and can be worn with lots of other colours.

OneLittleLady · 07/01/2015 08:45

Thanks fedup here's hoping I do okay!

libertychick · 07/01/2015 08:51

Good luck today one.

sleep thank goodness you found the bracelet.

shop I think there are 3 Dior palettes so pm novice now!

OneLittleLady · 07/01/2015 08:58

thanks lib keep those fingers crossed for me!

sleep lucky you found your bracelet, can't believe you went wandering around int he dark looking for it though!

QueenCardigan · 07/01/2015 09:20

Oh no to all of you losing stuff especially your scarf santa.

I deginitely shouldn't have had porridge for breakfast-it's turned my stomach into a washing machine. Here's hoping it stays down.

lib it is a lot of info to take in but you get a booklet with your colours rated and a style book too with all the info in. If your consultant is like mine then she'll be happy for you to email afterwards with any questions.

I'm so looking forward to seeing what you all are!

OneLittleLady · 07/01/2015 09:30

Arrgggh, my exam has been cancelled due to my tutor being unwell. Tbf, he is diabetic so when he's unwell, he's really unwell. Ah, guess it gives me more time to prepare though

Feeling a tiny bit brighter today, my ribs really hurt though from coughing, it's like they are bruised, very sore.

can't wait for HoC results from those having it done. Still considering if I should have just the colours done. Will check out the consultants local to me and see what i think

QueenCardigan · 07/01/2015 09:33

one I just saw this blog on another thread and thought you might like it.

QueenCardigan · 07/01/2015 09:41

Talking of blogs do any of you still follow them or read them all of the time? I gave up in the summer and then over Christmas had a sneaky peek at the ones I used to follow-WIT, DMBL40, all worn out, style guile etc and they're still exactly the same. Do people not get bored of following them? Much as I liked the Kat one that I just linked there's no way I could follow her as all the photos of her/hubby and kids in matching boden is nauseating but it's lovely for a one off browse. The only ones I look at regularly now are amber and susie so so as they don't seem to follow the same formula every day or give me pages and pages of their edits I prefer to do that myself every Sunday

Karbea · 07/01/2015 10:02

Hi all, I really need to get in the car and take the dogs to school... Dhs first day at work today he popped into my work on the way to the station and looked very nervous smart.
one it's annoying when you've been focused on a date and then it changes! but I hope your lecturer is ok.
I hate losing things, I get a bit frantic when I can't find stuff.
The only one of the blogs I used to read was dmbl40, but I don't anymore, I just don't like how she writes the blog now, it's just lists and lists of things, whereas before it used to be more outfits, if I wanted to see a list of black jeans I'd search on shopstyle I don't need her to do that for me.
I do like vivaluxury and sometimes whatiboughttoday but they are both dark in colouring and I'm dirtyblond so not sure much if what they wear would suit me and they are much younger I sometimes read The Londoner but mostly to read about her unbelievable outrageous lifestyle.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/01/2015 10:04

QueenC I use bloglovin app on my phone, which keeps all the blog feeds together in one place. I know it's bad but it's my guilty pleasure to read through new posts last thing at night - I follow 30+ blogs on there. They do get samey but I think having so many helps with that.

Yes, lib the booklet has some blank pages in for notes, so maybe just make sure you have a pen handy. I think all I wrote was "Blue Spring" so I would remember my subtype. And possibly the names of makeup I tried, but I didn't buy any HoC makeup anyway.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/01/2015 10:07

I like vivaluxury but I think her husband must have taken a photoshop masterclass (is that too bitchy?) - I've never seen anyone with such flawless skin! Also she wears a bit too much jewellery for my tastes, but I love her "put-together" looks.

MarshaBrady · 07/01/2015 10:17

I don't go to blogs but see lots of it on pin from the ones I like. I follow Fashion Me Now, Lucy someone I saw on her instagram (which is highly idyllic) where she said she now blogs full time due to number of followers, which must be nice.

And Tokyo Dame instagram is interesting

Man Repeller images pop up and Camille something. Over the rainbow? Elin Kling?

That's the thing with pin, you don't have to take any notice of the names.

Fedupnagging · 07/01/2015 10:48

Oh that is a bit annoying One but guess he can't help being unwell poor chap.

Karbea good luck to Mrk for today. And 'taking dogs to school' ?Confused

Queen i have bookmarked about 6 blogs but only catch up every now and again as they can get a bit samey. I found that some of the more aspirational blogs made me feel very dissatisfied with my self /home/life so don't really look at those at all. How can anyone be so perfect? Hmm.

Am coming into London later to meet friends for a meal and then the ballet. Not sure what to wear atm. Maybe my black cos dress with burgundy ankle boots and leopard print jacket or is that too much?

First though, am about to give my new pettys their first outing!

shopafrolic · 07/01/2015 11:02

I am sitting by myself, in a cafe in a whole foods shop, drinking yummy coffee. Yay for back to school.
Lib and Novice Thanks
On the blog thing, I use Bloglovin too but I get that overwhelmed feeling if I haven't caught up for a while. My babe Year thing is to delete or unsubscribe all the stuff that makes me feel bad / pressurised so I've been unsubscribing from loads of retailer emails and Facebook groups. Next on the list is blogs. I've realised every time I read WIT for example I just feel sneery (real word?) so will probably quit her for a while. I want less noise. Although the lovely Sleep would probably tell me to go one step further and just step away from the iPad for a while.
I've been getting quite panicky recently in general - does anyone else get that overwhelmed feeling? Like there's too much happening? I can feel it now as it type the words Shock

Fedupnagging · 07/01/2015 11:18

Flowers Shop. Yes I know what you mean and yes, definitely step away from everything that doesn't make you feel good or that makes you feel dissatisfied. I spent time on Monday unsuscribing from lots of websites too.
