tried one on today, quite a nice brown colour. never had one before and it was rather cosy and I was wavering for the school run etc
BUT
big norks therefore risk of looking like back end of a bus
AND
are they naff-naffdinaffola?

I wore it out today in the rain and it was fine. I believe the description is 'showerproof', so not for full-on deluges, but fine for, well, a shower.

RottenOtter · 11/10/2006 17:57

yeah Nomdeplume you do seem to have rather a leaning toward millets!

RottenOtter · 11/10/2006 17:59

i ordered a parka style thing from topshop in grey but
1 the arms were too short ( often the case with me)
2.just looked soo ordinary and dull

I qyuite like the cream pffa jackets m&s had a nice one but long is so tempting for winter and long and cream might be too duvet styled

RottenOtter · 11/10/2006 18:01

those boden ones look lovely but not for us Northerners we need quilting for arctic conditions

bundle · 11/10/2006 18:06

cupsnakes i've heard rather unfortunate things about that boden jacket (ie it doesn't fit anyone properly)

bundle · 11/10/2006 18:07

oh and no to puffas unless you live inside the arctic circle (that doesn't include anyone on same latitude as manchester oo)

beckybraAAARGHstraps · 11/10/2006 18:07

I must be an odd shape....

TutterIckOrTreat · 11/10/2006 18:10

which one bundle - the one i've just ordered you mean?

can't win now can i? either it won't fit, or it will and i'll feel like a freak

bundle · 11/10/2006 18:12

ooer
sorry becky, tutter

RottenOtter · 11/10/2006 18:23

now this i love!

beckybraAAARGHstraps · 11/10/2006 18:25

Too shiny. And pale. And probably only for normal-shaped people....

Quadrofiendia · 11/10/2006 18:51

a no to puffas here even the next style ones, they are okay but don't wear them if you want to look stylish as every bugger wears them!

I have a nice 3/4 length coat from Florence and fred at tesco, kind of cape style, although i am large of nork it is suprisingly flattering and cheap!
