That's how I see it too marsha, discounts are good, but after seeing lusting after something for so long,it suddenly stops being appealing to me .specially AW things ,heavy knits just begin to loose shape.this aw i got all my stuff full price ,but I've been wearing them for longer time now, CPw is very low, and I only buy few pieces each season,so i can get away with buying Full price,

amber I did the selfridges sales a couple of years ago,I went there just before noon, it was a nightmare, and not just the number of the crowds, but the behaviour of some customers is shocking! The shoving and pushing is enough to put you off, I let go of a pair of jeans, because someone was standing so close to me,and saying"my size, you don't want give me!!"

dry, if you think, I don't make sense sometimes, then you are not alone Grin, dh says that arguing with me is more exhausting than the banking crisis of 08 Hmm.

, I'm not putting tiny penises on my head, fedup,

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 21:48

Ha love how our style foibles are coming out.

Linus still think you can do the onesie!

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 21:48

Really? No one wants to wear those tasteful accessories? I am surprised, no, shocked at your lack of class and style ladies. Grin

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 21:49

LinusDKD · 26/11/2014 21:54

I'll post a video (yes, I still call it that) of me wearing my onesies strutting my stuff to RuPaul's Supermodel (Work It Girl) music.

I love the penis boppers Grin. Got to have a bit of tat at a hen party hopes you never see photos of mine. But don't worry ladies, it will be a full on vogue prosecco and cocktail affair with not a plastic willy in sight.

I loathe sales shopping. The crowds, the tat they bring out from years gone by. Can't be arsed.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 22:33

Phew
Santa I fear you might be disappointed if NaP ever let you nose around their warehouses Grin
Dry what else do I need now? I need to know what is in your sewing kit?

libertychick · 26/11/2014 22:38

If I could afford to shop at full price at the start of a season in peace and quiet somewhere like Matches I would. However as my taste and budget don't match I need sales, codes, outlets etc.

That said, when I do love something so much that I buy at full price I very rarely regret it while I could probably afford a new bag a year on the number of sales 'bargains' that turn out to be mistakes.

OneLittleLady · 26/11/2014 22:40

Would it be overdressed to wear my playsuit to the gig i'm going to on friday? I reaaaaally want to wear it, haven't had chance yet. would wear with opaques always and ankle boots

libertychick · 26/11/2014 22:40

Glad you like the jumper topaz Grin

libertychick · 26/11/2014 22:43

Grin at fedup.

libertychick · 26/11/2014 22:46

Sounds like a great gig outfit one (although my internal Irish mammy voice immediately said 'playsuit! In November! And you on antibiotics! Tut tut'. )

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 22:50

Shop best sewing scissors ever I've had mine for over 20 yrs, NEVER cut anything other than fabric with them.
I like some like these too for little threads.
If you don't get one with your machine an unpicker is v handy.
Pins, needles, tape measure and you're good to go.

OneLittleLady · 26/11/2014 22:51

Hah, it will be worn with fleece lined tights with a vest underneath plus cardigan lib I am not taking any risks right now!

AmberNectarine · 27/11/2014 07:29

I get the rage about paying full price. I'm still muttering about the rockstuds and Gucci Disco under my breath. However, I do agree if you really love something and wear loads it's worth it. I will not let DH pay full price for my birthday/Xmas presents though as there is always a discount around at this time of year.

OneLittleLady · 27/11/2014 07:31

Amber i don't even remember the last time I paid full price for anything above a primark/new look price point. I will wait for things, I have no problems waiting. I love a bargain and am willing to risk waiting for things in sales etc it's how I got my DKNY dress for a tenner and my MMK dress for not much more. Still wish I'd bought the max mara dress I saw but ah well

I rarely do fp. Usually when I think it will sell out.

MarshaBrady · 27/11/2014 08:01

Or doesn't go on sale.

libertychick · 27/11/2014 08:45

There are so many shops now with totally over inflated prices and who always have codes or reduce v quickly ie Gap, Whistles, etc. It really annoys me at times as I feel ripped off if I pay full price but there is hidden 'work' involved in watching out for the codes, having to buy various magazines, sign up for emails. The discounted price is the 'real' price but you have to deal with all the advertising overload to get it.

In a way I end up respecting Next as they have the balls to keep the price steady and then just do a 'proper sale'. Anything I do buy there (mostly clothes for DD) I pay full price because I don't feel the constant discount FOMO.
