I shut the window, when the words hooded skier showed up, do I need to know?
I'm really contemplating, ordering j crew cashmere track pants, they are marked as new season on NAP, but on the website they are %30 off Hmm,

First world problems alert:

I went and did a Canada goose vs woolrich, comparison today, both good, but I think Canada goose is better, the fit and look is more edgier , woolrich can give a suburban mom vibe on me,that is but ,tbh, they both pale in comparison to moncler or loro piana, think I will hold on to what I have, and see what I can get in sales,

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 19:13

Santa yes wait for the one you want.

Linus love it. Grin

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 19:14

That's weird about the 30% on NaP, maybe the pres-ale has started and it's a mistake

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 19:23

Phew thank God for your post Santa it possibly cancels out Linus faux pas! Grin

LinusDKD · 26/11/2014 19:30

It's for me of course (assuming I can fit in a 16 year old boys onesie)

I will wear it underneath my Moncler to do the nursery run santa

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 19:40

NaP seems to be down :(

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 19:47

First time I've seen that. Feel like when the Truman show went off air.

Linus what would your dm say Wink

santamarianovella · 26/11/2014 20:35

Grin marsha, it does feel like it, and to make it worse, they've started their sales in the us! The rest of the world has to wait till next month

But I can access the designer names page, but not main page. Strange

Also selfridges has %20 off, starting tomorrow,

All these sales emails got me thinking, and here is a question for all of you,

Are you more happy with an exclusive sale envite? Like liberty/matches..etc, where you can actually shop in peace,no over crowdedness, but you only get a small % off, or actual sales? Huge discounts, and you can get a lot from ££? But you have to face the crowds!!

For me i prefer waiting for actual sales for homeware and such, I bought loads in the selfridges jan sale ( knives set, toaster, kettle, coffee machine , sadly gave it way due to eu socket issue Sad, but the savings were huge, and I always find the selfridges lower ground floor to be much quieter ,than the other floors, so you can shop in some peace.

But for clothes,it's another issue, sometimes ,if I wait for something to go on sale, I lose interest by the sales time, and then fall in love again with it when it comes no longer available or it gets SO,
Also there is a tiny part of me that likes clothes when they are still fresh, and have not been on display for long,Blush , I blame my mother for that part,Blush,
That's why, in my mind ,on line places like NaP,matches,LVR, are huge pristine rooms, whith white walls, and wooden floors, and all the clothes and shoes are stored in little nooksGrin

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 20:37

I'm eating Christmas pud....just couldn't help myself in Waitrose Grin.................less than one month!!!!!

Topazandpearl · 26/11/2014 20:38

Thank you Liberty, have ordered it Grin. As I have made my feelings well known about Christmas jumper day at work being so early, many will get the joke (and there is a decent amount of natural fibres in it for £20!)

Returned to the gym today after a few weeks' break recovering from a sprained ankle. I had only just started going before that but am determined to keep it up. (I am inspired by you Linus ........ despite the onesie!) I was holding off on buying gym clothes until I knew that I would stick it out, but having seen my reflection today in my baggy old things, I think that the time has come! Will be in town tomorrow so will have a look.

santamarianovella · 26/11/2014 20:39

I've just re read my post, it doesn't make any sense,it's more like an extract From a stream of consciousness novel Blush, a novel about shopping preferences Hmm , I'm not drunk I swear!

OneLittleLady · 26/11/2014 20:39

santa i usually go for the physical shop in the proper sales. I do really well out of them most of the time. I'm usually not quick enough or up at the right time for online sales and mostly, the bits I like are sold out

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 20:46

Santa your post was fab. Trouble is I online shop too much so I would always choose say 70% off online.

However, here's the psychology part. My interest slides down the scale at the same rate as the price and discount goes up. So luckily, there's a halt button for loads of stuff.

And for going in to sales I'll wait for Liberty to get closer to 70 at the far end. As there's nothing I really want from there and have been waiting for not going to think about whether that peacoat would have made it!

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 20:48

Well done Topaz new running stuff is always way down on my list. Must improve!

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 21:13

Topaz that's a great Christmas jumper Grin. Didn't realise you'd sprained your ankle, how frustrating, but glad you are ok now.

Have bought yet another grey nail polish and nails are now this colour.

I had a great link for Blair but have just lost it. Will re link separately.

AmberNectarine · 26/11/2014 21:16

I always do Selfridges on opening day at 8am. I always target something and go for it. Has always paid off. I do make use of the preview codes. Or rather DH does - have just forwarded him all the emails and my birthday/Xmas list. Could do with a Browns one though!

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 21:21

Santa didn't notice any difference Grin
I loathe sales shopping. I actually loathe shopping on The weekend because of the crowds. And.....as you all know, I'm terrible at waiting. But I will wait for house stuff and do online clothes shop. I really admire a lot of you on here for your tenacity when it comes to sales shopping.

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 21:26

Blair, when you have chosen the accessories for your hen MU we can then co ordinate our outfits.

Understated?
Or
a little more obvious?

Luckily I am a winter so can wear pink.
Wink

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 21:29

Amber you're a pro! I need lessons, didn't you go to Selfridges sale with a pushchair? I remember being so impressed.

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 21:32

Grin Fedup NO WAY am I wearing a small penis on my head! I love Blair but really I do have standards Grin

AmberNectarine · 26/11/2014 21:33

Oh yes dry I wasn't going to let a little thing like having a baby stop me. Nor did I let being 41 wks pregnant back in '09. Or the pneumonia of '12. This year I need to do the sale then get over to West London so DH can pick me up on the way to MILs. But nothing stands between me and my bargains.

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 21:35

Fedup! Ahem I'll pass Grin

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 21:37

Is this going to be a real life hen do then? Not a classy cocktails and Prosecco do as per usual? Hmm I don't do sashes, or miniature penises, or shots. I might not be allowed to join you.......
Dry I have a sewing machine on order! Squeal!!!! Prepare yourself for millions of questions!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/11/2014 21:41

I don't know shop, I am putting myself at QueenC's mercy re the accessories am scared I may have to insist on cocktails and prosecco though!

Fedup both of those links are er... not very Vogue. Grin

LinusDKD · 26/11/2014 21:43
