I bought some Christmas presents today, yay! So glad to be able to cross a few off the list, I was starting to feel panicky!

Dry hope you aren't worse tomorrow? Repeat 'it's a good ache, it's a good ache' Wink

One and Flowers for you.

Those m&s jumpers were shocking...

Now I know I have done this before so I apologise but I think you guys came up with some great ideas for fancy dress for me and DH (and possibly 3 DC's) for nye. Dry I seem to remember you had fantastic ideas?

Drywhiteplease · 25/11/2014 20:50

linus I like to be pished, so classy!!'

Sleep:
Mario Bros.....go on Ebay and find cheap blue dungarees/boiler suits, black wigs, moustaches, big buttons, one red and one green t shirt,caps....easy.
Had a beach party and dresses as Carmen Miranda always fancied having a pineapple on my head and flamenco type dress, DH straw hat, Hawaiian shirt, shorts.
Pirates easy to do.
Cowboy and cowgirl ditto.
118 was a classic......repeat black Afro wigs, white t shirt and knee socks, moustache and head band, print off 118 running nos and pin to chest.
I'd love to go as Marie Antoinette one day think Elton John OTT v me Grin
How about...you as Cruella de Ville and dcs and DH as Dalmatians ?

Hope the meds do the job and you start to feel better soon One.

Have put 14th March in the diary so really hope to be there.

I hope the dresses get sorted Blair.

We have a 'wear your Christmas jumper to work' day coming up. Last year I borrowed DH's (relatively) tasteful one. May do again this year as I am not sure I actually want my own one.

QueenCardigan · 25/11/2014 21:43

Oh my god, a whole day with the Internet down. I barely survived. So happy to have it back!

one hope the men's kick in soon.
dry you are full of great ideas
linus I'm envious of you finishing your shopping. Every time I think I'm nearly done I remember something else I need to buy.

No style news. I was knackered today and feeling bleurgh so wore black. I really shouldn't wear it in the day. Every time I caught sight of myself I just thought how pale I looked.

Drywhiteplease · 25/11/2014 22:16

Just watched Tatler documentary. Kate R was wearing a flippy black just above the knee pleated skirt with a lovey cashmere crew in grey , black opaques and mid heels......lovely. Now I want a flippy black pleated skirt like Kate's!

queenC if the 'mens' are going to kick in, it better be to do my housework Grin

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 08:25

Great fancy dress idea's Dry. Friends went as the Simpsons one year and another as 101 Dalmatians - dfriend was Cruella and everyone else as the puppies. They looked brilliant. Sleep, we will obviously need photo's afterwards.

One, fingers crossed your meds kick in ASAP - you have been unwell for far too long and need to get better.

Today I have decided to have another try at wearing ankle boots with a dress and opaques. These boots with a black knee length wool dress from Planet that I have had for years, black leather jacket and tarten scarf.

Now, just need to get out of bed........

Stokey · 26/11/2014 09:42

I watched tatler thing yesterday too Dry & was thinking how much I liked her grey jumper & midi skirt look. That one that really caught my eye was the green one but I think she wore a similar combo throughout, grey jumper and different coloured skirts.

Nice boots Fedup

I'm braving town & looking for some pleather leggings...

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 11:27

Sounds nice Stokey

50% off my-wardrobe if you can find anything.

libertychick · 26/11/2014 13:58

Hmmmm nothing there I want. Vaguely tempted by the brown pistols but I know it's the label pulling me in rather than a real need!

Trying to work, keep getting distracted by Christmas pins and ideas for my DD's birthday party in January - I should be a SAHM really Smile

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 14:36

Me too Lib they are sitting there in my size but I shouldn't buy them.

Cute re pins and birthday. We're planning ds' and have booked a hilarious guy we had a few years ago. Think I laughed as much as the dc - nearly.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 15:16

Is My-Wardrobe down?! I keep getting an error message......

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2014 15:18

Wow, it's quiet on here today . Where is everyone?

santamarianovella · 26/11/2014 15:21

santamarianovella · 26/11/2014 15:25

Who was after a thick Christmas sweater? Though I don't know how good C&P cashmere is,

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2014 15:37

Shop just checked on the phone, it's ok here.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2014 17:25

Working again now - just hung for a while. Nothing there for me good thing too

libertychick · 26/11/2014 17:40

Novice check out my beloved TKMaxx for Christmas jumpers with half decent fabric content.

Topaz Christmas jumper for you Smile

OneLittleLady · 26/11/2014 17:46

Hopefully going to a chance to check out tk maxx this weekend. am going to see dp and going to see beardyman, who puts on an excellent show. i missed going last weekend even though i had travel arrangements as i just wasnt well enough so im so so pleased ive perked up enough now to actually get to see dp

libertychick · 26/11/2014 17:52

Glad to hear you are feeling better one.

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 18:11

So I wore the dress and boots combo and thought it looked ok so will definitely try that look again.

TK was disappointing clothes wise today - loads of dressy dresses and coats but not much else I liked. I did pick up
this Kew jumper and a grey jaegar poloneck. Oh and lots of presents for other people which was the main reason I went shopping today.

I have been after a cable knit in cream for a while and TK had some nice ones but all 100% merino wool which I found a bit scratchy. Also tried on a Ralph Lauren bright pink polo neck jumper - great colour but it looked really tatty and shapeless.

Fedupnagging · 26/11/2014 18:14

Forgot to say glad you seem to be on the mend One.

Jaegar polo, bargain at £30.

LinusDKD · 26/11/2014 18:20

Just ordered this

libertychick · 26/11/2014 18:23

Before we kick you off Linus can I just check who it's for - you, one of the DC or heaven forbid your DH???
