So this Boden sweater is going back. It's ok. But just ok, and quite short in the body. I don't love it enough to try the size up so I'm going to be good.
We have been for a train ride on Thomas the Tank Engine today. I wore black coated Oasis skinnies (too big at the waist now technically but belted up under a sweatshirt they worked). Grey Uniqlo sweatshirt, black leather Converse, Black, green and red tartan GAP scarf and GAP black leather bomber jacket. Felt really good today - new haircut and new NARS lipstick definitely helped. DS was soon happy to ride on Thomas - he met Father Christmas too - who was a lecherous old git and kept telling me how naughty I'd been Hmm

ergggh at creepy santa shop Xmas Envy

Trying to help my Dsis find a dress for christmas but she won't decide on anything, i've looked at so many links over the past two days that i've got dress blindness right now

Looks like i won't be out at all over christmas, no one interested in drinks and the few people who are going out haven't invited me Xmas Sad so it looks like it's gonna be and the biscuit barrel in an evening

He was really weird. The other mum and I in the carriage kept being told "I know all about girls like you - I can tell you're both naughty" - hardly appropriate full stop, but definitely not in front of 3 year olds!
If it makes you feel any better we don't have any Christmas drinks out either. One (non Xmas dinner) next week, and then friends for dinner Xmas Eve but that's it. We're alone just the 3 of us on the big day :)

Hello, have had a lovely weekend with DC. Both came home yesterday to celebrate DS's birthday in the week. It was great to have them home for the night and made me look forward all the more to Christmas.

DD had this scarf which really suited her.

DH will be away all week on business. I will be out two nights but otherwise will be catching up mo work, TV and, of course, MNV!

I have pulled together, after pulling an all nighter, a textural piece composed of multi layered bells and choir regions. percussion is implied by the multi timbral bells with synth parts adding to the layers, giving texture and movement.

I am aware of how wanky that sounds Xmas Grin

one good on you! I remember vaguely losing most of a paper I had written at the last minute when I was at university and it was the worst feeling ever.

shop eurgh at creepy santa! How inappropriate and in front of children as well.

I have really been comfort eating on non fast days lately and have not been for a run at all this week, but I have found the perfect motivation to get my arse back in gear.

DH enquired about some Dries Van Noten high heeled boots I had ages ago Wink and wondered if I still had them so I went to the basement to check.

Imagine my surprise when they still fit me but not only that, that I could now wear them over my J Crew Pixi pants and do up the zipper without a problem.

When I bought them (well, DM paid) about 9 years ago I really had to pull like mad to close the zipper and they were really tight around the calves and that was with bare legs.

It is a bit unexpected as I still weigh more than 9 years ago but maybe all the running is paying off and I am toning up a bit.

So tomorrow I will have no excuse not to go running!

shop I saw this picture on Pinterest and thought of you. I think you could rock this look.

The model is wearing tigh-high boots but you could do this with your leather leggings.

Shame I had to take a screenshot as the Pinterest link didn't work but it looks like a NaP picture and I have searched their site but no luck.

Shop loved the singing. We did Thomas Santa Express years ago with DS. Made me cry. Santa was ok then, he's obviously having a pre Christmas crisis or too much mulled wine

Just back from an outdoor carol concert....feel even more Christmassy now. Was willing it to snow........but no Xmas Sad

Bloody hell Amber you sexy lady! your DH will go nuts with you in that outfit.

Love that look Linus. Is that a dress then or a tunic (not sure I know the difference)?
I've decided I want to get some more leather leggings (more wipe clean leather style) and a quality black blazer next year so will have to start saving.

We've spent the whole afternoon decorating our tree, roasted some chestnuts and we've devoured it all with some really thick mint hot chocolate, so Christmassy here Smile, but then dd asked me to read the paper dolls for her and the last few pages of the book Made me cry, so didn't expect that! I bought it as she loves julia donaldson books, but this is one emotional book! anyone who reads that story without shedding any tears, has a heart of stone.

We also decorated our Christmas tree and the DC helped out. I did have to move some decorations as the bottom of the tree was a bit full and I might have another look at it tomorrow when the DC are at nursery.

We went to a local Christmas Market today which was fun but we did resist the mulled wine stand as we had to drive home.

We did our tree too. You know that moment when you cut the netting off and then realise how mahoosive the bloody thing is. It's just too wide really but never mind. Had the annual argument for whose turn it was to have their angel on the top ....

The coca cola trick was pretty naff really. You queued to have a pic taken and were given an ice cold can of coke. Just the ticket for a zero degree day on the East Coast.
