Blair I read today annoyingly can't find which mag that pearls are big again and there was a pic of exactly those earrings but by a designer. You're bang on trend!

you might like the killing (original not american remake) and the following then Shop if you haven't already seen them. The opening episode of the following is very...ahem, well, it got to me is all i will say in case you havent seen it

Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 21:47

I can't wait either Marsha, have loved both MUs I went to.

MarshaBrady · 23/11/2014 21:47

Ha it was the softness that got to me!

It took me a year to get over seeing The Ring at the cinema. Not a good idea.

OneLittleLady · 23/11/2014 21:49

marsha I love the ring, well the orig japanese one even though it terrifies me. theres another one, ju-on (or the grudge if you've seen the remake) and i can totally make the ghost girls noise perfectly. it's been used to great effect on various halloweens Grin

MarshaBrady · 23/11/2014 21:51

Cripes One I would freak out! Grin I'm such a horror wimp.

Love the idea of them though, just have to know my reaction and not watch.

OneLittleLady · 23/11/2014 22:01

I promise I won't make the noise at you marsha Grin

bettykt · 23/11/2014 22:01

Liberty this is the scarf was a present for a significant birthday. Have to say CPW is very good as I wear it all the time.

Dry thanks for doing the new thread. I'm in agreement with the others about buying the Hermès cuff. I really want one after seeing Mara's on here. Again CPW would be good as it would get worn loads I imagine.

Shop where did you find series 1 of The Fall? I've only watched episode 1 of series 2. My dh is fast asleep on the sofa too so need him to wake up to watch the next one.

QueenC I liked the C&P one you linked with the stars on.

Marsha I'm also looking forward to the next hen/mu. Although i think Blair and I felt like Cinderella having to leave early doing a midnight dash for our train carriage. Didn't lose a shoe though Wink

Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 22:02

What's Hush sizing like? Have seen a nice daytime dress, not sure XS or S/m, I'm an 8/10

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 23/11/2014 22:05

Betty The Fall is on iPlayer

bettykt · 23/11/2014 22:10

Thanks for that Shop I should watch it really to get a better understanding of what happened previously. It's quite chilling.

libertychick · 23/11/2014 22:13

Hmmmmm I had a feeling that scarf was a pricy one! It looks so good....

I haven't a clue on Hush sizing dry. linus has a couple of their dresses.

bettykt · 23/11/2014 22:23

Liberty it's gone up £150 since I got mine Shock I'd like a grey one, although it's not too long til my next significant birthday - yikes!

Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 22:26

Betty have I missed a link to your scarf?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/11/2014 22:32

6 posts up Dry! Good to know re pearls :) and thanks lib. Everyone always looks so stylish, the bar is set high. Love it!

QueenC I will wear anything EXCEPT a onesie and L plates Grin

OneLittleLady · 23/11/2014 22:34

blair round here, traditional hen night attire includes a plastic shot glass on plastic beads round the neck, are you sure you'll wear anything?? Grin

QueenCardigan · 23/11/2014 22:42

Maybe you should suggest the onesie theme to the best man for the stag party Grin

Topazandpearl · 23/11/2014 22:45

Please no onesie for me either Queen!

A daytime mu is better for me too. Really want to make the next one.

I think you should save for the Hermes dry. I remember once reading that you never regret going for the more expensive version of what you want, but you often regret settling for a cheaper one. (That being said, I really like the Fossil one that Queen linked).

Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 22:49

Just seen your scarf Betty it's a classic icon now, fab.
Right H cuff it is. It will be mine.

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 22:52

Topaz I'm guilty of doing that. Trying to find a cheaper alternative
and then not wearing it because I don't love it. The Disco proved to me that occasionally it's worth buying less, but buying good. Still a lesson I'm trying to learn....have been quite good this season though.

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 23/11/2014 22:53

MN VOGUE keeps me controlled Grin

OP posts:
bettykt · 23/11/2014 23:17

Topaz that is so true also you buy cheap you buy twice. I bought a cheap casserole pot from Ikea that has chipped and gone rusty. Wish I'd have just gone straight for Le Creuset as that's what I'll end up buying. I could kick myself. False economy and all that. Not a very good S&B analogy though Hmm.

I find things I've paid more for I wear/use more. Anyway I'll shut up now and go to bed. Night night.

AmberNectarine · 24/11/2014 07:32

I think you should always get the thing you really want if it's something specific. I've never found doing that to be a mistake, but I've made plenty of mistakes with poor imitation purchases!

Lovely to meet some of you on Saturday, however briefly - sorry I had to dash! You're all very glamourous and lovely (and tall, so it felt!) My necklace was last year's Oliver Bonas, bought as a gift by my boss at work. Not really worn it much - clearly I should! The furry scarf was a Helen Moore vixen stole. Ended up getting brutally drunk with some school friends and falling in at about 4 - was a long day yesterday.

I noticed and liked Blair's earrings (and her lovely clutch) - think they are a homage to Dior, who first brought out a double pearl style last year.

Right, had better get myself dressed for the school run!

LinusDKD · 24/11/2014 08:08

Morning!

Very misty here which made my morning run quite spooky.

dry I have two Hush dresses (I think the Rosie) from last year and they fit maybe a bit on the large size. I have the S/M and wore it all last winter when I was about 1 stone heavier than I am now so I would go for a size down now and you probably should as well.

Right, showertime.

BrandyAlexander · 24/11/2014 08:47

Morning! Horrifically busy Sunday and today has started off so badly. V late for first meeting.Sad

All has been said about the MU but my abiding memories at the restaurant are of admiring Sleeps boobs (I think that might now be de rigueur!) and Mara's bum (in a play suit?). Oh and just down right lust for Blair's Zarita's dress. I will order as soon as I find 2 mins!

Marsha, was the belt part of the dress? Loved that detail!

Also very weird to meet Amber! Didn't recognise her sans glasses and with her in flats and me in 4 inch heels I was looking down on her. I was very baffled!!!

Definitely "this is what high street smells like" had me roaring with laughter. QueenC is soooo funny. Oh and I wanted to stroke the hair.

Betty, I noticed the lovely scarf too. And we almost wore the same Dvf Bentley dress though mine is orange. You have triplets??!!Shock

Lib, firstly your dress was lovely. Which one was it? Secondly I remain utterly convinced about the LKB trench!!! Oh and lastly you have a very scary memory!Wink

How did people instantly know my dress was Michael Kors? I clearly don't know enough about fashion!

Finally cannot believe Mara outed me for almost losing my blingGrin I am tying to manage my ditzy image!!
