Meant to say hi Awks welcome back. Sounds like you've been mega busy.

Hitting the shops is a nightmare at weekends coming up to Christmas; shame you didn't find the TS coat.

OneLittleLady · 06/12/2014 19:50

linus your dinner sounds really good, I love kale, I'll even eat it raw I love it that much! the nougat noir sound delicious though, i'd love to try some if I can find some somewhere

Welcome back to Awks shopping is a nightmare int he run up to christmas

Evening all. Fab day. Got my hair cut, quite a short, severe job but I like it and it works as I grow it out. Then met my girlfriend for lunch and fizz. The search for wedding shoes began at Harrods. Continued on to Gina, Dior, Harvey Nics and Jimmy Choo. We were served fabulous champagne cocktails in JC. The bride to be had a lovely time. We think we've found THE ONES but will head back in early Feb when their will be more bridal shoes.

shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 19:57

Prosecco and elderflower liqueur here BTW and strictly on the box.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:02

Have I mentioned how much I love Claudia? Grin

Love her dress, she can make a strapless short dress look classy. Normally the rule is boobs or legs but she can do both.

She has killer legs actually and she must be quite short (if you compare her to Tess)

AmberNectarine · 06/12/2014 20:05

Hello all

A rare night in for me. Cracking open the bubbly in a minute though. Normal service resumes next week as I have quite a few nights out.

Did a bit of Xmas shopping today and got hold of that Snow Glow Elsa that DD so dreams of, can't wait to see her little face.

shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 20:20

Love Claudia too. That's what I'm hoping to grow my hair to although my hairdresser says everyone is asking for "the Claudia" ATM.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:26

My jaw is too square and my cheeks too chubby for her hairstyle but I love it on her.

I once had a fringe (when I was 18 and weighed 50 kg) but it was quite blunt and made my face look like a bowling ball.

I have been debating a sideswept fringe but I hate it when my hair tickles my face.

shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 20:28

But having a fringe means you never need Botox!

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:38

God yes! So funny as I just spoke to DH about me wanting to get rid of my 11's and he says he doesn't want me to as he likes my 'expressive face'

Hmm
shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 20:41

I'm with your DH I'm afraid (but then I have a fringe!). I can't bear faces that don't move.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:46

But I just don't want the bit between my eyebrows to move too much. The rest of my face can move to it's heart's content.

Wink

Could I still wink if I have botox? I do love winking...

shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 20:49

I love a wink too careful how you spell that
I know nothing about Botox - hence the fringe. I'm guessing they can just do the 11s?

BrandyAlexander · 06/12/2014 20:53

Hello!!! ThanksThanksThanks Thank you so much to the lovely Voguettes who talked sense into me about my Xmas lunch. It was today. I was so chilled, I actually got to talk to my friends and the food was amazing. Mwah!

shopafrolic · 06/12/2014 20:54

Novice I missed that? Sorry. Glad you had fun x

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:57

Lol shop!

I think I'm too much of a chicken to go ahead with it. I think when done well it is undetectable and makes you look better but I have seen too many examples of bad surgery or non-surgic procedures to be scared off a bit.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 20:58

Sounds like you had a great time novice!

Any purchases to report? Grin

Fedupnagging · 06/12/2014 21:02

I am obviously a sheep bang on trend wanting Claudia's hair! I have had a fringe since my teens when I wanted to cover a spotty forehead. I started growing it out a while back until I read that a fringe can make you look younger so kept it.

Loved the colour of Caroline's tango dress tonight.

Awks · 06/12/2014 21:07

Oh gawd go for the botox I'd say. I'm madly googling dermal fillers at the moment and trying to pluck up courage to have a go secretly.

Not sure about the Claudia hair - it's a bit Dawn O Porter. And lovely as SHE is, her hair isn't. Though a blunt bob and fringe is exactly the do I have at the moment so am obv talking shite.

Went in the Mulberry shop in Edinburgh and it was a man. A Man. We had a lovely chat and he was brilliantly knowledgeable about his bags, much nicer than the miserable lot in York. still didn't buy anything though

Awks · 06/12/2014 21:09

actually ignore me, its nowt like Dawn O Porter's.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 21:21

I would do it if I could go to Helen Mirren or Meryl Streep's plastic surgeons.

Awks · 06/12/2014 21:24

If you find their numbers, pm me and I'll come with you for my fillers. Its a bit scary just googling.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2014 21:32

Will do awks

Fedupnagging · 06/12/2014 21:38

It's not the blunt bob per se that I am after but the curly/wavy effect. I have naturally curly hair, love a fringe so wonder if it might work.

Am sitting firmly on the fence re Botox/plastic surgery (for me). On the one hand it would be great to shave a few years off and get rid of the flabby bits around my chin but on the other, don't fancy the pain or looking a bit 'pillow' face.

There is also a part of me that thinks we should grow old gracefully and fly the flag for older women.

Meant to say that I have a bottle of Passoa on order - looking forward to that with some prosecco.

DryWhiteplease · 06/12/2014 21:42

Bloody wifi.....Virgin came on Wed to give us new TiVo box and super speedy wifi, guess what? IT'S CRAP! Has been on and off ever since. Thought I was going to have a heart attack when it went down.....no TV, no internet I'm worse than my teens

Love a fringe. Don't suit me. I'm v open to Botox but keep spending on clothes etc. I hate how I look as if I'm frowning when I'm not talking which is why I talk a lot Xmas Grin

Oh, and I bought my chaise longue for my dressing area today H bracelet will have to wait v excited. Now I will be able to recline as I decide what to wear!!!!
