santa Grin
Right QueenC I agree with Amber, " no sex until you shave it off" .
I also told DH that people say it looks nice because no one would say:
"Wow you have a beard..... It looks terrible" Brits lie. They are being polite. And DH looked 15yrs older too.
Final suggestion " my friend needs a santa for her primary school, you wouldn't need to dress up" Grin

LOL Santa - let's just say my star is a bit wonky! Are you ok? x
That is crappy customer service Sleep

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 15:29

Santa I buy quite a lot from there too (shop is on my doorstep and too tempting, especially with reductions). Think it's easier to just get a refund and wait to get it later if possible. Really cross at the lack of logic though, why is a change of size ok but colour not ConfusedAngry

QueenCardigan · 03/12/2014 15:49

My poor dh. He'd be mortified if he knew we were discussing his sex life Grin

libertychick · 03/12/2014 17:43

Well done shop!

santamarianovella · 03/12/2014 18:06

Phew shop, so glad Flowers
Make me a small one with the phrase "I kick santas ass in sewing" .
Embroidered on it Smile
don't think thats grammatically correct

DryWhiteplease · 03/12/2014 18:24

libertychick · 03/12/2014 19:07

That's lousy CS sleep.

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 19:17

Can I get your opinions please? I have half a dozen girlfriends coming over for dinner tomorrow. One is a vegetarian. Now I am very happy to cook and enjoy veggie food and I think it is much more inclusive to do this for everyone - but none of it is very...elegant! I have found what looks like a great recipe for veggie chilli, to be served with sour cream, guacamole etc. Thought I could do this after some canapé type stuff with drinks beforehand. Would you think it was a bit of a cop out...should I make something more complicated with fish/meat and a separate veggie dish for one person Confused?

DryWhiteplease · 03/12/2014 19:41

Noooooooo sleep I'm a red blooded meat eating woman but love veggie food, so tasty and wholesome.

AND........love a girls' night, grateful to eat anything someone else has prepared.
And .....by the time they get to main course they'll be having such a great time they really won't care.
And........most people, when they're being really honest, love good traditional comfort food like a decent chilli.
I'd be delighted to come Grin

DryWhiteplease · 03/12/2014 19:44

And.....DD has just made me listen to Slade. You all know how much I love Christmas wreath, bunting up, puddings already but I CANT stand that BLOODY song. ANYTHING else, ANYTHING!!!!!!!

DryWhiteplease · 03/12/2014 19:45

And Sleep it's mid week, no one would expect anything complicated mid week

bettykt · 03/12/2014 20:00

Sleep that's crappy CS from that shop and yes to veggie chilli. A friend made it for a few of us as she was having a meat free week and as a meat eater I was more than happy to eat it.

Loving the beard and dtd chats. Grin

OneLittleLady · 03/12/2014 20:03

sleep I'll come if that's the menu Wink

I may have to change my topic, I'm not finding as much info as I was hoping to, really struggling in fact to find what i need. i know what i need to find, i just don't know where to look for it, if that makes any sense?

libertychick · 03/12/2014 20:06

Veggie chilli sounds perfect Sleep. I wouldn't consider it a cop out at all.

One I totally get that. I am really struggling to pin down the topic for my end of year project based assignment too.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2014 20:10

Sounds nice Sleep

One and Liberty I think it's harder if you have freedom to choose.

Dh is out and I'm catching up on toff tv. Tatler first.

OneLittleLady · 03/12/2014 20:19

Lib it is hard isn't it? Problem I've got is that I've chosen a topic that is sort of new in the field, well, it's not a hugley established topic atm so there's not much int he way of info in actual books, it's all really to be found in journals, other peoples papers and on websites but obviously, the problem with websites is making sure they are legit and not just any old joes opinion rather than actual fact. I'm giving myself to the end of the week to see what info I can come up with and if it's still a non starter, I'll find another topic

libertychick · 03/12/2014 20:28

You are right Marsha. With the ongoing assignments I just get on with it even if it's a topic I have no interest in.

Good luck with it one, when do you have to submit it? Mine is due in on the 2nd week of March.

I bought this sweater today. Was tempted to get it in grey too but I have several grey jumpers. It's available in off white as well on the website which also looks good.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2014 20:35

I found my dissertation when I was sorting out all the stuff the other day. I have no idea how I managed to waffle on on that subject for 10,000 words!

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2014 20:36

How many words is yours Lib and One too?

libertychick · 03/12/2014 20:39

It's not too long Marsha only 5,000 words, but it has to have diagrams and spreadsheets and lots of reflection on personal learning - has to evidence all the skills acquired during the year - sigh.

Topazandpearl · 03/12/2014 20:41

Love the sound of veggie chilli sleep and I think that nowadays meat-eaters are more than happy with a veggie meal.

I hope DS is better novice, small consolation but better now than over Christmas (I remember one year when DS had D&V over Christmas - not fun!)

Love that jumper shop, will go well with your shoes.

I hope you find the info you are looking for one.

The quality from the Winser website is always very good - I have a few things from them (sizing is generous btw) and they reduce well, but sizes go oos quite quickly.

QueenCardigan · 03/12/2014 20:49

Ugh, all this chat of essays has reminded me why I never did a masters. I love reading to learn stuff but cba with all that personal reflection and writing. I look at my dissertation and just cringe. I thought it was so good at the time!

sleep veggie chilli sounds fab. Don't go overcomplicating things midweek. They're lucky they're getting more that a few pizzas thrown into the oven which is what you'd get if you came her midweek.

Just started my packing for the weekend. Dh has worried me by saying he's taking spare jeans just in case. And here was me trying to pack light and leave room for the silver shoes that I'm hoping that top shop will have
