No doubt MrShop will have 5 different types of technical thermals with him, along with assorted tweed outfits and various silly socks Hmm. He left at 3am Shock. Funny how he can get up at 3 to go shooting, but never to tend to DS Hmm
We're having a family day in London tomorrow, taking DS to see the lights. Fingers crossed he's happier in the crowds this time. Any tips as to where the best lights are?
Novice hope DS is brighter today. Poor you no good with vomit here-

libertychick · 03/12/2014 08:20

DD loved Carnaby St last weekend shop. Lights are in the form of giant headphones! I havent paid much attention to them yet though.

Properly cold here today. I have my Uniqlo down gillet on under my coat.

Fedupnagging · 03/12/2014 08:27

Shop Grin Mrfedup was exactly the same when he played golf!

Amber your 30th birthday celebrations sound great - have fun.

Your poor ds Novice, hope he perks up today.

Not sure who linked the blue jumper earlier but it's lovely. Also love the website you have ordered from Topaz.

A grey cashmere scarf was on my Christmas list this grey wrap or
this smaller one, however am now unsure given my history of shrinking clothes! JL do a cheaper scarf for £50 so maybe that's a better option.

Pineapple macaroons, yum.

shopafrolic · 03/12/2014 09:06

Right Dry ... MrShop is somewhere between Brough and Appleby

shopafrolic · 03/12/2014 09:08

I have this one Fedup - it's a good size and great VFM. Might be a lower cost option?

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 09:16

Shop Covent Garden is lovely with a massive Lego sleigh with Santa and reindeer, giant lit up Rudolph, the huge baubles in the central market and the big Christmas tree. Pretty walking up through Soho and Carnaby St too, Liberty is gorgeous but understated this year, they had 'snow' lights last year iirc, looked magical. Regent Street is pretty rubbish.

shopafrolic · 03/12/2014 09:18

Thanks Sleep
We'll start at Covent Garden then and work on from there. At least that way if he melts down we can head for the transport museum and brownies in Tuttons

shopafrolic · 03/12/2014 09:20

I ordered this jewelled sweatshirt last night with 20% off and free delivery. Am hoping it will work for nights out with boyfriend jeans and these shoes

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 09:27

V nice Shop Smile

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 09:28

I don't suppose any of you have a discount code for Graham & Green by any chance please? Flowers

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2014 09:36

stokey afraid the jeans had gone, sorry! It's a good charity shop though. Saw a Goat cardi for £6 and a DVF dress for £9.99!

novice hope DS is on the mend now. These bugs are a nightmare. I had a shocker a couple of weeks ago, was so glad it didn't get the DC (and that it saved me the trouble of doing a pre-Xmas diet). Yes, merino is the fine, soft wool, like the J crew Tippis.

Speaking of Tippis, am wearing a navy and white fish print one this morning with ripped skinnies and gunmetal glitter Jimmy Choo high tops. Too cold to be thinking about fashion really! Having a quiet morning with DD, doing some online ordering (food and photo calendars, don't get excited) before meeting a friend for lunch.

In fashion news I was pleased to win the black version of the red Helmut Lang dress shop and I have on EBay, brand new for £40.

QueenCardigan · 03/12/2014 12:14

Gah. Pissed off. Have just got home feeling fab after hair/eyebrows/eyelashes and nails and two of the bloody nails has smudged. It's the vinylux stuff so meant to be hard as soon as its on. They will obviously sort it out but not until tomorrow so will have to take dd with me. Not impressed.

novice I've said all sorts of things but the beard is staying. His plan will be to feed me fizz/cocktails in the hope that I get drunk enough to sing him Grin

Stokey · 03/12/2014 12:29

No worries Amber Thanks for trying... and for reminding me to do photo calendars!

I quite like a tube skirt as a good alternative to jeans Linus. It still works with checked shirts etc but has enough movement for chasing after recalcitrant children.

I bought a black & white checked Zara blanket scarf yesterday - it's properly white instead of cream so good for us winters. But I am struggling to work out the best way to wear it, have been looking at you tube tutorials but just ends up looking like a big bundle when i try to emulate them.

santamarianovella · 03/12/2014 12:37

queen, are you mad Grin, beards are incredibly h o t on men, and very useful for mini romantic weekends away, have a great time in Edinburgh,

novice, hope ds is feeling better today, poor thing, he had it rough,

sleep I think there is a code for G&G in living etc, I will double check when I get home,I just hope I didn't throw it away,

shop gorgeous ,

stokey, that's the look I think, all bundled up and cosy Smile

OneLittleLady · 03/12/2014 12:43

Amber i think you need to share the love and let me know where this charity shop is Wink

Novice poor Ds, I hope he's on the mend soon

stokey lovely scarf, I think I want something similar but worry it would drown me with me being so short

queenC get out the clippers when he's asleep and shave off a patch on one side, he will have to finish the job when he's up the next day and you can blame mischievous children Wink

DryWhiteplease · 03/12/2014 13:24

queenC have you tried the direct approach?
" I just don't fancy you with a beard"! That, and FB campaign, worked for me!!!!

*santa" intrigued how a beard can be "useful on. A romantic weekend away"? Hmm ....am I missing something Grin

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2014 13:25

If DH grew a beard I would be withholding marital privileges until it had been removed. I get arsey if he doesn't shave for two days!

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2014 13:33

Bloody hell, I just drove to the dry cleaners, shut as they had a 15 minute emergency. Ok fair enough, drove past the supermarket as forgot to go in, turned around went in and forgot the courgettes. You can tell work is happening again! It always does this to me, so vague.

Also planning ds' party. On the Christmas decoration chat we always wait until after that happens before putting up the tree.

Ok I've missed too much, need to catch up.

santamarianovella · 03/12/2014 13:58

dry, I'm a laaaady, could never talk about that Wink
, I don't mean a big bushy beard, but a bit of stubble is always good.

shopafrolic · 03/12/2014 14:02

I've made a Christmas tree decoration. A star. It looks a bit shit rustic. But I made it.

QueenCardigan · 03/12/2014 14:04

Oh yeah santa I don't mind it for that Wink. I've also found certain ways of dtd without having to look at it Grin. dry I've tried the direct approach and the not so direct approach. I've asked him to remove it for the weekend and grow it again but all to no avail I'm afraid. A fb campaign wouldn't work as everyone else loves it and thinks it looks good.

santamarianovella · 03/12/2014 14:05

Pics please shop , I could use some cheering up

OneLittleLady · 03/12/2014 14:19

santa !!! Shock

I've made no decorations this year and i normally do. just haven't got the time or the energy. I'm currently hunting through online journals for info for the presentation i am working on. It's daft that I chose a topic as difficult this year, there's time to change it but I don't want to, i want to do this but it's hard hard work

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2014 14:28

Thanks Santa

To add to the moans about nail varnish and dry cleaners, I requested an exchange on a sweater I bought from Elias & Grace the other day. They had a 30% discount on Friday only and I ordered Christmas sweaters for both DS's and a top for DS1. Sweater for DS2 is too small so I want exchange for next size, but that colour is oos - different colour available but they won't exchange, will be charging full price difference Shock - AIBU to think this is crappy customer service?

santamarianovella · 03/12/2014 14:35

shop hope you were not offended Sad
I'm pretty sure it's not shit, and its a million times better than anything ive ever made .I'm terrible at sewing.

sleep, that's awful, I've bought loads from them,as most of the miller stuff they had was at %70. Can you keep the store credit and use it when sales are on?
