Question for santa: I have seen two scarves I like on MyTheresa but I have never heard of the brands: Jardin des Orangers and Faliero Sarti.

I know you have bought from MT before so I wondered if you know these brands and whether they are good quality.

I went into town today and tried two scarves at Louis Vuitton and whilst they were nice, they weren't Wow and at those prices it just needs to be perfect.

I did buy the grey By Malene Birger pencil skirt I tried on a few weeks ago. I tried finding it cheaper online but that skirt was surprisingly hard to find. So I caved and bought it fp.

Oh and my M&S onesie arrived today and it fits! I am now officially a 16 year old boy. Grin

Blush doh just realised you're ShopaFrolic, ho hum the thought was there Grin

libertychick · 28/11/2014 14:47

Oh really glad you got the BMB pencil skirt Linus. It's perfect for you. From my perspective it cancels out the teenage boy onesie fashion crime Grin

I have a question for you - what coat/jacket do you wear with your H&M skirt? in cold weather. I wore it all summer with cropped jackets or my biker. Decided to wear it today with a grey t-shirt, black opaques, black brogues and thought I looked ok. Then went out with my CdC military style coat over it. Have just seen myself in a mirror in M&S and I look like a crazy bag lady the look is enhanced with very frizzy hair Yikes!!

shopafrolic · 28/11/2014 15:31

Spot on Betty :)

LinusDKD · 28/11/2014 15:45

When it's really cold I wear it with my Moncler down coat or otherwise with my P&J Sister coatigan

I have a very old DKNY princess coat I might try as well. I do always wear it with a slight heel (usually Jalouses) because I have very short legs.

libertychick · 28/11/2014 16:15

Thanks Linus. Funnily enough I have just had a woman in the lift at work comment on how good it looks! She said she had been thinking about this skirt and has decided to buy it now having seen me wear it with flats. I am rather chuffed!

QueenCardigan · 28/11/2014 16:19

Are the discounts good? I can't understand why people fight for stuff especially if it's only a tenner or so saved.

OneLittleLady · 28/11/2014 16:29

santamarianovella · 28/11/2014 16:30

I have no idea about both brands linus, I have a couple of cashmere long tees from dear cashmere, from my Theresa, and the are very good,
If returns are free it worth a try,,are you looking for solid or printed?

That BMB skirt, looked so good on you, good call getting it,

I'm doing a novice next week, doing to countries in a day and a half Shock, can't believe I got myself into this,

LinusDKD · 28/11/2014 16:55

Lovely compliment lib

santa I am really looking for a pale grey simple scarf but if I could find the same Etro scarf I bought last winter (so very patterned but in a different colourway) I would as well.

Ideally quite a big scarf that 'drapes itself' like the Etro.

libertychick · 28/11/2014 16:58

You sound so much better one. Hope you have a great time at the gig.

LinusDKD · 28/11/2014 17:03

I like this one but it look a bit thin maybe

LinusDKD · 28/11/2014 17:05

and this one but I'm not sure either.

santamarianovella · 28/11/2014 17:21

They look loose and thin , so they might pill with time,

Drywhiteplease · 28/11/2014 17:24

linus, if solid long ones you are after, I saw this scarf, when I went to pick up dh's birthday present last week, I was so tempted to get one for me, but I've bought one from marant while I was London, and my chanel coat comes with a huge scarf too, so I'm set!

But seriously, this will be on my list of next AW,

santamarianovella · 28/11/2014 17:36

Yes,I know its men's scarf, I'm convinced men's hats and scarves are better made then the ones they do for women.

dry have fun, and I'd avoid shopping if I were you, it looks like a nightmare!

one enjoy your evening!

Drywhiteplease · 28/11/2014 18:23

LinusDKD · 28/11/2014 18:52

Ooo I nearly went in there today santa but I was having lunch with DH and didn't want to be late.

It was a last minute decision which meant I only had one hour to shop. I might have to go back in town next week. Wink

Have fun in London dry!

one you too! Glad you're feeling better.

shopafrolic · 29/11/2014 08:18

Any size 16 rock chick lurkers out there? please buy these

BrandyAlexander · 29/11/2014 08:35

Morning! It's been a rough couple of days. A whole night and morning of ds puking then I started feeling unwell myself. Not sick just flu-y. We were meant to go out last night for dinner (I was going to wear my orange Bentley dress) but we stayed home and just snuggled under our big white company throw on the sofa. I don't feel great today but am doing sports event business entertaining so will be glugging the nurofen etc. skinnies, cashmere sweater and boots I think!

Has anyone bought anything in the Black Friday shopping madness?

Our kitchen dining table set arrived yesterday which I don't think counts!

QueenCardigan · 29/11/2014 09:10

Morning. No Black Friday madness from me. I was just utterly shocked watching the news last night. I just hope that if Black Friday continues that the shops sort out proper systems and security before someone gets seriously hurt. And I still want to know how good these discounts are to make people act so mad?

There's a couple of tops I'm considering buying but not sure if I really want them or whether it's just because it's been a shitty week (dh's only call week so I'm pretty much a single parent for the week). I don't really need them so will probably just save the money for when I do really want something.

libertychick · 29/11/2014 09:13

Hope you and DS are feeling better novice.
Great leggings shop. I see they are gone already!
On my way into city with DD for a theatre outing. In Mum uniform of skinnies, boots, Breton, cardi, military style coat and colourful scarf! All bits and pieces in the navy pliage.
I am thinking about bringing her to the Christmas shop at Liberty afterwards to buy a bauble but will see how she's coping. She can find crowds too much sometimes.

one and dry hope you both had good nights.
