I actually think it's not THAT expensive. Before I clicked on the link, I was expecting it to be maybe 3 times what you said you'd pay for it, but £90 is about what I would expect Zara to charge. With Primark and supermarket clothes, we've all become a bit spoilt with cheap clothes.

theonlygothinthevillage · 18/10/2014 21:23

BTW it's still more than I would pay, so in that sense I agree with you ...

BettyMoody · 18/10/2014 21:25

sigh

if it were cashmere, I would say ' ok'

Floellabenjamin · 18/10/2014 21:25

Good amount of wool in it

SuperFlyHigh · 18/10/2014 21:26

It's expensive for Zara

AnnaBegins · 18/10/2014 21:31

If you've got friends in Spain try shopping on the Spanish site and getting it shipped to them, usually much cheaper!

BettyMoody · 18/10/2014 22:03

looks about for spanish mates

If it were cashmere Betty it would be a bloomin bargain lol

Greengardenpixie · 18/10/2014 22:17

Its expensive but its really stylish so i would say its the designer element of it that makes it pricey...and people will pay for it too. You could try the sale if its not sold out by then...or see if a voucher code comes up.

LaCerbiatta · 18/10/2014 22:30

It's 80 euros in Portugal (and probably Spain), ie around £63!!

Zara really is very expensive here. It's funny how they manage to market it as mid high street whereas in Portugal it's a bit Primarky....

(Lovely coat though - may buy it when I'm next there!)

peasandlove · 18/10/2014 23:13

$169 on the US version.
Bit of a ripoff. You can get way better labels and quality for that money

ArgyMargy · 18/10/2014 23:16

What the fuck is a jackay?

lurkingaround · 18/10/2014 23:30

Jackay, like sachet. Or chalet. or crochet. or chevrolet. Or as in French, gourmet Monet chalet buffet stop me now.

Lovely jacket. Bit expensive for Zara. But it would be warm, it being mostly wool. I'd be tempted. Zara get a bit up themselves with prices sometimes.

ArgyMargy · 18/10/2014 23:37

Oh. Jacket.

LeoandBoosmum · 19/10/2014 01:23

I think 80 quid's worth it seeing as it's three-quarters wool.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 19/10/2014 05:25

It's at the top end of what Zara charges for jackets, but it is wool, and beautiful. I love it. It might go in the end Dec sale? My navy/black Chanel-esque one did. However, it sold out within hours of going on sale...

It's still a good buy, IMO, since it's lovely and wool (adds to wishlist)

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 06:40

Those of you calling it a coat nor warm. It's thin, man

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 06:41

Off to germsny next week. I wonder how it will compare there.

OP posts:
BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 06:41

•or " warm

OP posts:
BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 06:54

Aha. In euros it comes out as 78 quid. Slightly better.

elQuintoConyo · 19/10/2014 07:30

Nice jackay!

€78 where I am, about £63-64.

Zara is cheap as chips in Spain, not quite Primark/New Look, but the next step up. I was shocked at UK prices- SHOCKED I tell you!

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 07:45

Sigh. That's A LOT less.
