Those Clarks boots look a lot like some boots I have from 2002. Can I just wear my old ones?

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 11:52

lol at nigella. What clarks boots? scrolls back

The jacket is gorgeous - it's more pricey because it's wool, which is not necessarily common in their jackets - I would view this jacket as outerwear rather than suit. The higher price is justified as the wool and cotton prices have risen a lot. Where I am the same item costs a lot more! Zara still has better quality than a lot of high street stores, even over here where it's more expensive than the uk.

AtlanticDrift · 19/10/2014 14:51

Its 73% wool. River Island, Oasis etc are selling coats at the same price which are 100% polyester. But yes, Zara is a bit over priced here anyway

Mrsgrumble · 19/10/2014 15:15

What would a 12 be? Medium?

ZaraW · 19/10/2014 15:21

It's lovely. As someone else said Zara's jackets and coats are generally well made. I have had a winter coat that lasted about 8 years before I sadly had to admit it was past its prime.

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 19/10/2014 15:23

12 probably a large, Mrsgrumble.

It's all a lot more expensive here because of shipping costs, majority of clothing is made in Spain/ Portugal. Basics are made in Bangladesh, etc, but are still sent back to Spain to the warehouses first, which then sends out the stock to stores/ internet customers.

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 15:39

if you saw it, you wouldnt see it as outerwear. it is thinner than a blanket

Btw the zips on the hips ( Wink )are functioning so you could make it into a much shorter jacket I presume

lurkingaround · 20/10/2014 11:42

Saw the Mango discount but the feckers, it's only applied to stuff I don't want.

RonaldMcDonald · 20/10/2014 11:56

I just went and tried it on. It feels beautiful and it has a sort of Rik Owen style, which I love. But... It's just far too long for me. The front drapey bits finish at the top of my thighs (I'm a short bodied 5'4"). So, if they do a shorter version, I'm there. However, I won't be buying this jacket.

Charitygirl1 · 24/10/2014 12:30

Tried on this dress yesterday - proper flattering on my slightly bottom heavy hourglass. I'm a 12 and M was clingy but fine and L way too big. I'd like it to go into the sale but might cave before then.
