Happy Birthday QueenC ThanksCakeWine! Lovely bag.

Miserable morning, I have an afternoon of ferrying two ds's to two separate parties, the joy Hmm. Gym first though, I've had a lazy week exercise wise, yoga only, quite nice Smile.

Still waiting to get pleather trousers from neighbour!

What are you all wearing to the MU? Need to have a think...

Marsha have you worn your grey Pistols much? I am still dithering and the WIT code has expired. 15% and £50 still there, not quite as good but still a bargain but I suspect I am being swayed by the bargainous nature perhaps more than the boots! I wear my black ones all the time....

OneLittleLady · 02/11/2014 09:35

Happy birthday QueenC Wine Thanks Cake!

Good night but exhausted now and I appear to have a cold as I can't stop sneezing

libertychick · 02/11/2014 09:36

Happy birthday QueenC. Bag looks great. I'd love one! [Cake] Wine Cake Wine

Good luck with getting to the gym Betty and sleep. I'm going tomorrow Wink

sleep I think you'd get a lot of wear from grey pistols - would work well with your style and the colours you wear.

MarshaBrady · 02/11/2014 09:37

Sleep I wear them every day Blush I really need to wear my other boots too but they are so comfy. A bit warm but I still wear them.

Drywhiteplease · 02/11/2014 09:37

Any way you could break in Sleep? Grin

Happy birthday QueenC ...beautiful bag. Have a lovely day.

Shop enjoy your lunch.

I appear to have brought back some mountains from Scotland......of washing in my utility. Am beginning the ascent, should reach the summit sometime in 2015 Grin wish me luck.

MarshaBrady · 02/11/2014 09:38

QueenC lovely bag.

QueenCardigan · 02/11/2014 10:00

dry I feel your pain with the washing. I did 2 loads there to minimise what I came home with yet I'm currently on my third load and still have about 2 more to go.

sleep I will probably wear black cigarette pants and navy blouse. Or a black dress. Am hoping that 3 weeks will let my toe heal. I'm going to a 40th at the weekend bt not sure I'll be in heels.

Have a good day everyone.

LinusDKD · 02/11/2014 10:05

Happy birthday queenc! Love your bag!

Karbea · 02/11/2014 10:25

queen'lovely bag.

Sorry I've been quiet of late, still not buying anything and still working loads.
Saw Evita yesterday, I wore Victoria Beckham skinny blue jeans, Cos cream vest, zara navy blazer, LV graffiti scarf, tan prada bag and tan kg ankle boot - all old :/

maradesbois · 02/11/2014 10:30

Happy Birthday QueenC Smile Flowers Cake Wine. Enjoy your day and indeed the lovely bag.

Linus thanks for burgundy & black link. Lovely combination. Think a black leather skirt, possibly mini, is my aim once I reach weight target.

Sleep could see you in the grey shearling pistols too.

Have a great Sunday everyone, lovely and sunny here. Going to park with dsis and dc then dh is cooking pheasant for lunch.

MU outfit sleep I am not sure. Might wear the purple dress I bought a couple of weeks ago but need some heels. Or else Paige skinnies and something...! I am going shopping on Tues and aim is to get a Christmas going out outfit or something like heels to go with things I already have.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/11/2014 16:53

Hello all!

QueenC happy birthday!! Cake Wine Flowers Hope you've had a lovely day. Love the bag, it's so you.

Waves to everyone, I have skimmed to catch up. I read a bit during the week but only had my phone with me and intermittent internet. So glad to be back, missed DP loads and it gets very intense being stuck on a boat with close family (DMum especially lol). Like Dry I've spent a good portion of time today doing washing.

Thanks for organising the MU mara Thanks I feel bad I didn't give any feedback but the venue looks fab and I can't wait. I'll reply to your PM shortly!

My MU outfit will either be navy Zarita or red Carven dress I think, depends whether mara wears her Zarita (though diff colour!) or shop wears her red HL dress :) If both I may be screwed!

I may be quite quiet this month as I'm doing National Novel Writing Month. (She says, on day 2...)

Hope everyone had a great Halloween and half term, I've missed feeling remotely fashionable Grin

shopafrolic · 02/11/2014 17:12

Wow Blair that's amazing! What's it about?
In terms of MU outfit it will be the HL red dress if Amber isn't wearing hers (she got hers first), or Joseph black dress if not. Amber let me know when you know?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/11/2014 17:23

Lol I love this MU outfit priority order thing! I would rather wear the Zarita anyway. Mara what are you thinking? :)

Shop it's young adult fantasy. No vampires though! I actually started it in August but I've never written 50,000 words in a month before so am giving it a go.

Fedupnagging · 02/11/2014 17:29

Just popping in to say Happy Birthday Queen Wine Thanks. Hope you are enjoying your day and lovely bag.

Shop did I miss your birthday? Hope you enjoyed lunch today.

Welcome back Dry and Blair and good luck with the writing Blair.

Loving all the mu fashion talk but am v Sad I can't make it - will have a house full of visitors that weekend. Will let you know what I'm wearing though so I don't feel too left out!

maradesbois · 02/11/2014 17:37

Welcome back Blair, go for it with your Zarita. I haven't thought about what to wear yet but will maybe give my vintage Chanel jacket an outing and base something around that.

I am being thick - is MU 22/11?
Thanks Fedup not my birthday yet - I like to stretch things out (it's on Tues).

libertychick · 02/11/2014 17:46

Yes 22nd shop.

Topazandpearl · 02/11/2014 17:52

Welcome back Dry and Blair, hope the laundry is under control now.

Am also very impressed with the novel-writing!

Hope you are having a great day Queen and are enjoying your lovely bag. I like to stretch my birthday out too shop (next Sunday- a lot of us round now). I hope you had a nice lunch. Mine will start on Fri as both DC are coming home for the weekend [excited].

Drywhiteplease · 02/11/2014 18:04

Love the MU outfit talk. I think you should all wear exactly the same thing Grin
Mara you kept the vintage Chanel quiet....fabulous, you lucky thing.
Blair v impressive. I just wouldn't have the patience....I do fast thingsGrin

I have 2 dilemmas , really ought to go on AIBU but don't dare. So MNV WWYD?

  1. Guests coming in 2 weeks' time. 2 families always ask to bring their dogs. I'm not keen and have said that I'd prefer no dogs (new carpets) but I know one family will insist (they've done this before) AIBU?
  2. Management at work is having a party. Only half the staff have been invited and asked to keep quiet. I've been invited but feel very bad about this. Deceitful to my collegues if I go, big black mark if I don't. WWYD?
OneLittleLady · 02/11/2014 18:08

Dry I'm not sure what I'd do about 1) but for 2) I would create a family engagement to get out of going. I wouldn't feel right deceiving my colleauges

shopafrolic · 02/11/2014 18:15

Dry we would never take our dogs to a house where the owner didn't want them indoors (perfectly understandable). In the past we have either put the dogs in kennels - or not gone.
In terms of the party it sounds as though you are dealing with the kids not the adults Hmm. Can you not try and persuade them that it should be all encompassing?

libertychick · 02/11/2014 18:15

Dry

  1. I would tell dog people 'no dogs'. It's not reasonable to ask others to accommodate your dog. The only way I'd even consider it is if they were prepared to keep the dog outside - assuming of course you have some suitable outdoor space.
  2. v tricky. I am shocked that some people haven't been invited esp as its a management organised do. It sounds like a poor mgt style and it would make me feel bad about working there let alone going to the party. I would push back and say I wasn't happy but then I work management level so would feel confident in doing that. Easy way out would be to feign illness on the night and not go.
