Just following on from other threads - I am really interested to know how many of you wear makeup everyday, if you do what time do you have to get up in the morning to do it??

OP posts:

Apparently so.. Chris Evans 'joke'

Why do women wear perfume and makeup?
Because they are ugly and they smell

orangegiraffe · 12/09/2006 13:35

I never find the time to put on makeup everyday.

expatinscotland · 12/09/2006 13:36

My skin is very uneven in tone, w/freckles - I've always had them, a few age spots and blemishes.

I use Chanel No. 5 or Coco Chanel daily as well.

JackieNo · 12/09/2006 13:37

I generally wear a little bit - takes me probably 1 minute in the morning. Slap on a bit of moisturiser when I come out of the shower. After breakfast put a bit of primer/pore minimiser stuff over my t-zone. Bit of lip gloss and that's it. Bit more for going out, but not that much. Weekends and weekdays much the same, unless I'm not actually going to leave the house.

littlerach · 12/09/2006 13:38

Yes, everyday. takes less than 5 mins.
Usually some tinted moisturiser or foundation.
Mascara.
Lip gloss, clear.
Sometimes some blush or that benefits moonbeam or whatever it's called.

notasheep · 12/09/2006 13:44

gegs73-love that joke,so does that mean i am not ugly
Men have won again

ShowOfHands · 12/09/2006 13:44

Oh God I'm a slattern. Never wear make-up, wash my hair once a week and don't own a single pair of heels.

Gillian76 · 12/09/2006 13:48

I don't every day but I do think it makes me look better and really does only take 5 mins to do.

Always if I'm "going out" ie at night or if I'm dressing up at all

hahhah - you must be gorgeous notasheep I know I scare myself sometimes when it is not on so I must be super ugly.

notasheep · 12/09/2006 19:17

and modest

Tinker · 12/09/2006 19:24

Never ever go out without it.

busteach · 12/09/2006 20:21

absolutely. I would scare small children without it.

themoon66 · 12/09/2006 20:27

The only days I don't bother are stay-at-home-do-housework days, and days when I'm just going running or swimming then straight back home. Although I have been known to put make up on to run races if I know there is gonna be a photographer there (vain? moi?)

Full make up for me takes only five mins...

Moisturiser
eye cream
touch of concealer on red bits.
eye shadow (only one colour - silvery-beige)
eye liner (grey)
mascara
lip balm.

Mind you... if the mascara is of the horrible clumpy variety, it can take another five mins of arsing about with tiny comb thingy unclogging my lashes.

Steppy1 · 12/09/2006 20:29

...another 5 mns here too just

moisturiser
foundation
blusher
lippy

don't always worry about mascara......

flutterbee · 12/09/2006 20:31

I wear it everyday, I have to as my skin is pretty bad.

Mind you I wash my hair every morning too.

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 12/09/2006 20:32

I never wear make up, probably need to though

DelGirl · 12/09/2006 20:34

since having dd 17 mths and turning 40 I do! I wear it for work but never much. Blusher, lipstick and eyeliner. It's much the same now but wear foundation more.

buktus · 12/09/2006 20:35

i wear mascara and lip gloss every day and some blusher in the winter as soon as any tan fades takes 5 mins

twinsetandpearls · 12/09/2006 20:37

I used to but have got a lot more confident as I have got older, always wear make up for work and if we go out of an evening or somewhere for the day but otherwise no and my skin certainly benefits from the rest. Would certainly never wear make up to the gym or when walking at the weekend

Jimjams2 · 12/09/2006 20:37

I don't possess any. Last time I wore some was to get married (1997). I did have some cllinique, but ds1 flushed it down the loo.

mazzystar · 12/09/2006 20:39

yep. tinted moisturiser, touche eclat, blusher and lipgloss or lipstick. get eyelashes and brows tinted. 3 mins tops.

singersgirl · 12/09/2006 20:39

I only ever wear it for big, dress-up dinners and parties. Then I'll wear powder, blusher, mascara and eyeliner, sometimes lipstick but it often makes my lips sore.

I've never worn much make up, though as I'm getting older, I could probably do with it!

rustybear · 12/09/2006 20:41

Never wear it. This is what I look like. So what?

sunchowder · 12/09/2006 20:44

I don't...but I want to! I just bought some new fabulous makeup from Smashbox that really makes me look bright and my eyes bigger, but alas---it sits in the cabinet....I am going to be 50 this year so I have to do a separate type of "fill" step for the smile lines or the foundation highlights all my lines!
