Fantastic. I am actually just about to get a steam cleaner. I haven't chosen which one yet but am browsing. It's a happy Saturday night, other than dh has the grumps with me!

shopafrolic · 19/07/2014 22:32

tacky but he loves it

Fantastic Shop love it!!!!!Grin

Oh Santa you'll find lots of new exciting stores though. X

BrandyAlexander · 19/07/2014 22:52

Lol! Aren't those things really noisy!

Santa, I can't imagine what lovely household things the lovely efficient Germans will have

QueenCardigan · 20/07/2014 07:01

Morning. Miraculously the rain settled just in time for our BBQ. Does anyone remember carrie who used to be on here

Fedupnagging · 20/07/2014 07:17

Morning all,

Lucky Shopds, that's a fab toy to have - is he allowed it in the house?!

Novice, I spent a happy half hour in Lakeland yesterday with dm. I have their steam cleaner and can recommend it.

No fashion news whatsoever although as it's neither raining nor thundering here yet, I will be wearing my gap maxi skirt today. It is my favourite piece of clothing ATM.

Sleepwhenidie · 20/07/2014 09:14

Urgh...I am v hungover.

Love the Ferrari Shop

Dry I have one of those Karcher window things, it is fantastic, you won't be disappointed-deeply satisfying.

Mara I'd have been out and walking too. London is horrific for roadworks at the moment Confused

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2014 09:19

Morning!

Thanks re bag. Has really helped, plus worth it to do a photo recce for your advice. So Celine dday on Monday.

Shop which colour bag do you think? I need to know! Fab car.

Novice I lugged that bigger pale blue one around that I brought to the last meet up. Drove me nuts, was so glad to switch to small one when I could.

Mara £60! Shock that's loads.

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2014 09:21

Imagine half those ! aren't there. Just had a double espresso.

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 09:26

Still in pjs....warm but over cast here. Quiet weekend before it all goes bonkers again.

Dry's thoughts for the day:

Have just been thinking how much I hated Gigis before MNV and now, two pairs later, how much I love them. Funny how fickle I am. Fashion u turns anyone?

Also.....how heated people on MN get about fashion blogs. Quite nasty sometimes. If they don't like the blog why not just stop reading......or am I being too black and white here Confused

Also Miranda on SATC is such a fantastic autumn. I love the colours they put her in. I need a berry coloured dress for winter dos.

Think I might dress. Up as linus today....Jimmies, Madewell top, Gigis Grin

Sleep how was the wedding party? Love the dress.

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 09:28

X post Sleep

Marsha DH just brought me a Nescafé in bed. When he went out I crept down stairs and made a "proper" coffee Grin............

Stokey · 20/07/2014 09:29

Great car Shop

Thanks for the winter support, I get to keep my beloved red (think carmine is a doubke star) so can stick to that while contemplating fuschia.

In a non fashion related q, any cooks amongst you? Our plum tree is dripping with fruit and have already filled 2 washing bowls with plums. Need a recipe for lunch but nothing too heavy as it's still hot here.

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 09:29

Btw I don't have anything against instant coffee, drink it all day at work, just need a fresh one first thing.......just so you know

Stokey · 20/07/2014 09:31

Haha DryI would do that too. I try not to ever accept a cup of coffee unless I know it's real, terrible snob that I am.

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 09:32

PLUM GIN stokey easy to make! and in the winter you'll thank me when you're sipping a plum gin and t!

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 09:33

but for lunch I'd stew them and make a kind of fool with cream/custard or ice cream

Stokey · 20/07/2014 09:47

Ooh plum gin sounds amazing!

Will give stewing a shot, thanks Dry

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2014 10:00

Ha Dry I would too, we don't have instant at home anymore so it gets tense if we run out of the real stuff Grin It's one thing I make sure we have.

Drywhiteplease · 20/07/2014 10:12

I'm beginning to get twitchy ladies and will need your support for the stressful time to come.
As you know I'm having an extension. It's been remarkably stress free thanks to my lovely builders and me becoming very laid back about mess but tomorrow the shit is going to hit the fanSad because the house bathroom is going Shock which means teenagers sharing my bathroom Shock Sad and I DONT LIKE SHARING the one little place that's my own, even with DH if I'm honest

Dust....
Skips on drive
Scaffolding everywhere
Stone all over my garden
Not being able to open bifold doors on v hot days
Trying to find a loo where there are no workmen nearby
Constant tea making duty
Plastic sheeting on my carpets
Wire hanging out of ceilings
Filthy windows

No problem, but sharing my en suite, this may tip me over the edge Grin and still alcohol free due to tooth ache penicillinSad

Fedupnagging · 20/07/2014 10:33

Oh Dry I would be very twitchy too. Can only cope with upheaval like that for a short time. Maybe Stokey can send you some of that plum gin for you to sniff [Grin]

Biggest fashion u turn for me is the skinny trouser/jean - was very late to that party but am converted.

Have you made your decision yet Marsha? Am on tenterhooks here am waaaay too invested on this thread

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2014 12:55

Ha Fedup'Grin not sure yet! Hoping for final flash of inspiration at the post, when with dh in store. I have a leader, I think!

BrandyAlexander · 20/07/2014 13:03

Oh Dry, we can weep together! You're describing my last 6 months!

santamarianovella · 20/07/2014 14:34

Oh dry, that takes me back to my university days, sharing one bathroom with 2 other girls was a nightmare, but at least in your case ,school will be out and there would be no morning rush to get ready, and teenagers sleep late on holidays, but I know,I feel icky if anyone other than dh uses our ensuite,I give it a good scrub afterwards, but hopefully it won't take long, and work will be over soon,

Fashion u turns, can't think of any at the moment, but what I know is if i make a u turn it somehow doesn't work on me,so maybe subconsciously I know that it doesn't suit, but succumb to it just to satisfy a trend, or because everyone is raving about it, but that being I'm lusting after marant bobby trainers, they are not the chunky big ones, those I can never pull off, they are more subtle ones, and although I did a u turn and I owned an ash wedge ones and decided its not me,I guess I'm about to do a double u turn now Hmm

santamarianovella · 20/07/2014 14:36

*being said!
And ignore my rambling,I had way to many coffee this morning to make any sense!!

MarshaBrady · 20/07/2014 14:59

Fashion u turn. A small one - that a bikini can be navy. I'm wearing the Fendi one right now and I love love it! Such a good colour.

Santa I have been edging towards those too. I think they would be great for you btw.

Dry sending you the force, how long will it last?
