Kids grown up so no school run, but dress still required for those summer days when you need to just throw something on and just go.

Opinions on this please...

I

DaftSkunk · 13/06/2014 21:19

I like it but not in that colour, I prefer the other two colours.

sharingeverythingtwice · 13/06/2014 21:20

I've bought the grey & black and love it, so tempted to get another colour but not sure about two dresses in the same style.

thenightsky · 13/06/2014 21:20

I wear too much black, hence my choice of the lighter colour for summer.

It looks a bit shapeless in that pic - what's it like on?

Pollywallywinkles · 13/06/2014 21:25

Same as Sharing.

A very useful dress IMO, can be dressed up or down.

thenightsky · 13/06/2014 21:26

Its not bad on... I normally cannot wear shapeless shifts, but this seems to make me look slim rather than sack-like.

Bum Lady has got it. Must admit I don't like it at all, sorry.

fingersonbuzzers · 13/06/2014 21:50

Bum Lady?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/06/2014 21:59

I've got it in the white, and am really pleased with it. I'm tall and reasonably straight up and down so like shift dresses - the fabric is natural and non sweaty and a good weight, it hangs well. It was HOT today here and it was a good choice - and I agree it can be dressed up or worn with birkenstocks. The fit is flattering - I sized down and it skims rather than clings.

thenightsky · 13/06/2014 22:38

I've sized down too (10 Tall)

I also think it looks more expensive on than it does on the website... but I may be deluded/have had too much sun.

thenightsky · 13/06/2014 22:44

Right... Am keeping it.

Decision made.

Smile If we get the summer we're promised then I'm sure you'll wear it lots.

ChablisLover · 14/06/2014 21:34

Bought this yesterday in the black and grey and sized down as well. It was just too baggy in my normal size. The skirt of it looks nice too but couldn't justify it as well. May buy it when I'm in town on Thursday

Aliceinvodkaland · 14/06/2014 21:37

no no no

Aliceinvodkaland · 14/06/2014 21:37

that is hideous

thenightsky · 14/06/2014 21:52

'hideous'? How is it hideous? It's a linen dress that looks pretty versatile to me.

Explain please Confused

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/06/2014 21:53

I think it looks a bit like something worn by an escaped convict, I'm afraid.

fingersonbuzzers · 14/06/2014 21:58

I thought it looked a bit like a shapeless sack on the Next website, but have to admit it did look better on the lady in the blog linked to.

But then that lady looks like she has the kind of figure that means she'd look good in a, well, a shapeless sack.

It would look hideous on me as I can't see it being flattering on someone with much in the chest area.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say it's convict-wear, but I see where remus is going with that. It's a bit missionary-to-Africa for me.

nilbyname · 14/06/2014 21:58

I thought bum lady really made it look good, so for that reason, good buy.

I like whistles for day dresses, little bit of an edge.

fingersonbuzzers · 14/06/2014 22:03

nilbyname, your first link goes to this: Relationship Between Speech-Sound Disorders and Early Literacy Skills in Preschool-Age Children: Impact of Comorbid Language Impairment.

Good job you hadn't been looking at anything too weird!
