Kids grown up so no school run, but dress still required for those summer days when you need to just throw something on and just go.

Opinions on this please...

Isabella, to me the detail around the waist looks very pretty... but it looks just slightly wrinkled to me even in the photo.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 15/06/2014 01:01

Hmm, yes, it will crease if I even think about wearing it. If it were cheaper then I might give it a go, but for 83 quid I'd want to wear it a lot, which would mean a lot of ironing.

wafflyversatile · 15/06/2014 01:11

Not sure how I double posted. That one covers my knees but I'm short.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 15/06/2014 01:26

Oh that's surprising waffly. It looks really short. I do wish all websites had pictures of dresses on, with notes on the height of the model shown.

wafflyversatile · 15/06/2014 01:36

I was surprised. I expected it to be shorter too.

wafflyversatile · 15/06/2014 01:36

It doesn't crease and doesn't need ironing though. Definite pluses for not the school run dresses.

Rainydayblues · 15/06/2014 08:05

I got one - I sized up for length, looked better than the tall. I'm a slim hourglass and I find drop waisted dresses weirdly flattering, I hate anything that clings to my waist emphasising my boobs and arse. It hangs well on me, I have slim, well toned arms and legs and it's a definite keep.

If I'm not sure about a piece of clothing I'll leave new clothes in the wardrobe for at least a week before wearing and then retry before deciding to definitely keep.

Just remember we all have different styles, floral dresses look hideous on me but on others they look great, you can't dress according to what everyone else thinks suits them!

Wow that moved quickly!

LadyIsabella the ties at the front aren't fixed on that dress so not too hard to iron. I tried a version of it on last year, they bring it out in different fabrics/sleeve lengths. Desperately unflattering on large boobs, and not good if you have a short waist like I do.

thenightsky · 15/06/2014 11:20

That debenhams one is nice, but its a top not a dress surely?

They grey one? It's below my knees.

SuperFlyHigh · 15/06/2014 12:36

Some of those dresses even in sale are stupidly expensive. I quite like the debs one. And the tescos one.

But then again love my vintage collection (not 1950s!) and a fab older style monsoon print one £5 from stall!

And the H&M black and white print wrap one I linked to recently.
