Oh well, they had 20% off today in h&m, tried them on weeks ago and LOVED them, walked out shop telling myself I was FAR too old to wear them & to get a grip.

So I just bought them online instead. I'm mad right?

My legs are ok thumbwitch ... once i've fake baked them ... plus I will only wear them on the beach / casual - certainly not 'going out' with heels etc..

I have sequin shorts and I'm mid-forties. I wore them with opaques to parties this winter just gone.

I wanted some shorts - ditto legs and age
BUt I got some from DP and s1(15) said NO WAY, you look stupid.

i mulled on this then went to hairdresser when a woman (same credentials) walked past in NICE short and a blazer etc

but the hairdresser stopped and stared and said OH MY GOD HOW OLD ? ( then proceeded to say she was too old for short shorts)

So my confidence is shattered.

Am now looking at the bermudas in BR which i think i probably dont like

Im not as old yet but I wear very short shorts out and about a lot and Im the mum of 3.I cant see how I will stop doing it when Im 40.

although you may have good legs, ( as I do) there becomes an age where it just looks wrong and this is hard to define and even less to defend.
The same with very short skirts, I dont know what this is.

I dont think there is look at jennifer aniston or denise van outen they are in their 40s and look good in them. There plenty of celebs that look great in them

I don't like sequin shorts regardless of the age of the wearer (she says fresh from the thread of how to dress in France)

Celebs can get away with stuff that normals can't.
