MID LIFE CRISIS.....

Oh well, they had 20% off today in h&m, tried them on weeks ago and LOVED them, walked out shop telling myself I was FAR too old to wear them & to get a grip.

So I just bought them online instead. I'm mad right?

I just bought sequin shorts and i'm 40years old.....

One of my neighbours is quite elderly and wears short shorts to do his gardening. I can't look as I'm frightened to see what might pop out when he bends over Shock

I can't imagine sequin shorts on the beach. Sequins and casual don't really match for me. I think shorts on 40+ are fine if they're not sequin which should be reserved for teenagers

Absolutely shamazing. I went a bit nuts at Christmas and bought a pair of black sequinned shorts. I wore them out for my works Christmas do. With a floaty white top.

A few people laughed. I didn't care. I felt fabulous. I want a summer pair but h&m don't deliver to me. Boooi

to clarify, I am NOT wearing these OUT AT NIGHT.. NO no no no no..

I'm wearing them on the beach or in my garden with a navy vest, white T or some other non descript plain top..

Sequins and casual can work well mrsbungle as I teamed skinny boyfriends with a gold sequin vest & navy cardi & gold ballet flats last week... v casual & totally fine in my head opinion ;)

I love shorts think they are far easier than short skirts which i rarely wear now not age related I personally just don't like the overall look on me. I am 49 and do wear shorts every summer. I tried a pair of lace ones in esprit which friend looked amazing in but not on me so bought a denim pair for every day and like them a lot.I like the sequin ones and I think if you love them wear them! For me when I can't wear shorts any more I won't go to bermudas as I just can't see them looking stylish

I'm with you noddy. I'm 41 and love my shorts. In fact was changing over the wardrobe today and so excited to be getting all my shorts back for the summer. My legs have always been fab and so I slap on the fake tan and away I go.

That hairdresser comment was just bitchy/jealousy.

If you feel good in something that's all that matters.

I think why not! If I had good legs I would have them on show no matter what age I was. If your happy why bother with what people you don't know think x

Well i bought a couple of pairs of denim shorts recently and i am 46! They are not mega short or tight but just nice for sunny days. Its depressing when people say you shouldnt wear certain clothes after a certain age. I have ok legs.

dexter last year I spent a very Blush hour in a beachside cafe. The tall elderly Dutchman opposite me was wearing v short shorts and there was a big pink hairy ball totally hanging out the side! It was diabollokle I tell ya!

I saw them in the store and they are fab - in fact look better than the photo. Almost bought them myself. go for it! Being forty shouldn't stop you if you are confident enough to carry it off.

I have never owned shorts as my legs are utterly dreadful. If I had good legs I would wear shorts every day.

I bought ripped denim and pastel striped shorts last summer and wore them when I'd tanned a bit.

I'm size 12 but good legs and yes with cellulite! But what the f am I meant to wear in heat?! (Last summer both hot holidays). The French and Spanish men where I went certainly didn't mind and I got compliments!
