Can you recommend me a REALLY good anti-perspirant deodrant?

I have been using the Dove deodrant stick for years as it wa the only one I ever found that worked. But now it has stopped working and I have no idea where to start :-/

I work in a shop that doesn't believe in air conditioning and I'm sweating (and smelling) like crazy and it's so embarrassing. I went through one shift with my arms stuck to my side because I smelt so much.

I bought a Mitchum stick deodrant after reading good reviews but it does nothing. Have started taking 2 tops to work to change half way through my shift because it's that bad!

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

I find mitcham works but I do take extra precautions that may help you:
I shower with shower gel and then wash potential smelly areas one more time with dove soap.
Out of shower I put on mitcham.
Before getting dressed I use a spray deodorant too (currently nivea, but whatever is on offer).
Before washing my clothes, I spray the armpits with vinegar, once clothes have had that sweat smell, it tends to stick around even after a standard wash. This gets rid of it.
I appreciate this all sounds like a FAFF, but probably takes an extra 2mims a day and I feel confident.

I feel like I'm a teenager again, constantly worrying if I smell Do you use the Mitchum stick? I've heard good things about their spray but I don't want to waste loads of money trying different things! And I shall definitely start using some vinegar, I saw on another thread I had searched for that it's good at getting the smell out

Have you tried driclor? You use it over night and wash off in the morning, then use normal deodrant. I sweat loads but if i use driclor once a week it reduces it to essentially nothing.

Just to warn it does itch a bit when its on but its worth the slight irritation for the results.

I use driclor ( I think that's what it's called) occasionally to reduce sweating. You apply it at night and wash it off in the morning. Then just use Nivea. I probably use it about once a week and don't notice any sweating. It's fab!

Mitchum roll on is the only one that works for me. Haven't tried the stick but I never find them as effective as roll ons, no matter what the brand.

Mitcham stick is the only one I've found that has worked for me as I'm a very sweaty person unfortunately.

Hi, I had "issues" with sweating but have been using Odaban for the last couple of years, just once or twice a week, and I can honestly say it's fantastic, the problem just doesn't exist for me any more. And one bottle lasts absolutely ages - like I say, I've been using it for a couple of years now and am about half way through my second bottle.

yes I have a similar problem and end up with wet patches under my arm.

I usually have a spray deodorant in my bag.

I do use mitchum and i have tried that driclor which is good but how long do you use it for then the effect obviously wears off again

I swear by the Mitchum roll on and i blast my pits with their spray in the same scent just before i leave the house as an extra blast of protection. I've never used the stick version so i can't comment on that but their roll on is great.

In the height of summer i occasionally use driclor at night and wash it off the next morning but that shit's hard core.

I love the Mitchum roll on. Much better than anything else I've tried.

A tip I heard somewhere is to rinse your armpits with cool/cold water before you get out of the shower, and apply anti-perspirant as quickly as possible after you get out. Don't allow for any sweating time before you apply! Also helps to make sure that you're not still sweating from a hot bath or shower as you get dressed.

I may try the Mitchum roll on as well, I've never normally had any luck with roll ons and sprays so I thought getting the stick because it was similar to the Dove one would work. Obviously not

I found that the mitchum unscented stick worked even better if you put it on the night before as well as in the morning. Garnier minerals is also good and the spray is good for keeping in your bag.

Sanex with micro talc, it's the one with the dark blue lid.

Worked really well for me.

I also find Mitchum is very good - have used it for years. They do an unperfumed one as well, if your skin is ultra-sensitive.

Mitchum stick for me but I'm finding that lately it's not working so well, can your body get used to it and it not be so effective any more?? I found the Mitchum spray brilliant but pricey as it doesn't last as long as the stick

You could try crystal Rollon deodorant? Maybe as well? It works to make the sweat not smell. So it's not antiperspirant. But then if you do sweat it should stop the sweat smelling. This might help.
I use just crystal as I overheat easily so I need to sweat. But on a night out etc I use dove stick antiP deodorant too.

I'm a sweaty girl - I shower with Australian Body Care tea tree shower wash and use mitchum roll-on anti-perspirant.

The tea-tree stff is anti-bac but gentle and lovely and comfortingly tingly on your underarms and bits

I discovered Vichy antiperspirant recently. It's about eight quid but has worked very, very well - I am super sweaty and this is really effective.
