or if you reckon I could make it more interesting with accessories?
e.g. bright red shoes?
does anyone have any suggestions pretty please?

It is very funereal. What's the occasion? If not a funeral I'd go for something a bit sexier. Neckline is a bit blah.

WipsGlitter · 26/04/2014 16:01

What's the occasion?

I like it, but it's expensive for what it is.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 26/04/2014 16:01

£300 for that baggy sack of a dress? Ok for a funeral if it cost £30 but what on earth would you wear it to otherwise?

SomethingAboutNothing · 26/04/2014 16:01

That's a lot of money for such a boring dress. I don't like it at all, sorry.

Whitershadeofpale · 26/04/2014 16:02

I think for that price there are loads of nice dresses you could have. It's ok but yes boring.

What's the occasion and your shape, height etc?

supadupapupascupa · 26/04/2014 16:04

don't like it at all. there's much better choices for that amount of money!

KissMyFatArse · 26/04/2014 16:10

Boring, and frumpy

tethersend · 26/04/2014 16:12

this or this are similar but cheaper

littlegreengloworm · 26/04/2014 16:12

I love black dresses but wouldn't buy that one. I recently bought a more fitted one with pearl necklace and low back in monsoon for 90 that I will try to link. It's similar but a bit more to it IYSWIM

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/04/2014 16:30

Boring, quite worky looking and ridiculously expensive. Sorry. Am a fan of black dresses, but wouldn't buy that one.

JackShit · 26/04/2014 16:36

Bloody hell £300 for that :-O Er, no.

Custardo · 26/04/2014 16:37

yes its the most boring dress i ever did see

ZenNudist · 26/04/2014 16:38

Yes boring, and expensive.

ZenNudist · 26/04/2014 16:40

Yes boring, and expensive.

whitewitchofnarnia · 26/04/2014 16:44

Would't pay £30 for a dress that boring. Sorry.

burnishedsilver · 26/04/2014 16:46

Have you bought it already?

If yes, I like it and think it's very versatile. You could do a lot with it.

If no, I still like it but it's waaay too expensive for what it is.

aylesburyduck · 26/04/2014 16:47

The Jager one that tethersend linked to is fab - far nicer than the escada one.

Fairylea · 26/04/2014 16:47

£300 for that?! Sorry but so overpriced! Lots of lovely dresses about for around the 30-55 price mark. You don't need to spend that much at all especially on something so plain.

NigellasGuest · 26/04/2014 18:27

no I haven't bought it yet. I have actually bought a polka dot Jaeger dress but am hving second thoughts about it. [I thought it might be one that Tethers linked to but no]!

The occasion is not a funeral (although it would obviously be suitable for that)!!! but a birthday party at a smart hotel in London. I just want something I can use again - as burnishedsilver says, it's very versatile. I like the neckline and the sleeves. I thought perhaps I could accessorise it into interestingness... I'm thinking impactful shoes, bag, jewellery.

My size - I'm a "boyish" figure, ie., not much of a figure, flat chest etc., size 12, 50 yrs old, 5 foot 6 inches, short fair hair, blue eyes, nice legs, podgy tum.

Agree that the Jaeger one Tethers linked to is way nicer. Y
Sorry OP but yours looks like a very expensive sack!

NigellasGuest · 26/04/2014 18:32

I would like it to be well made, good quality, and to last a long time.

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 26/04/2014 18:36

Surely Jaeger ticks all those boxes?

NigellasGuest · 26/04/2014 18:39

well I think the Jaeger one I've already bought is a bit boring and I don't really like the one linked to above Sad
