it's a bad week - I've poured myself a glass of wine.

I don't mind dh working away all week, but not the weekends a well. I need grown-ups aaaaggggghhhhhh

Callmemadam · 22/08/2006 21:30

hmmm,
muesli WTH blueberries & rasberries
apple
cappucino
pitta with (very small) bit of pate on it
banana
stir fry veg, chicken
yoghurt so alive it was screaming

Oh yes, and wine x 3

But my BMI is 22.7 - and my 15yr old ds refuses to say if this is good, bad, or indifferent. Anyone know?

CaligulaCorday · 22/08/2006 23:31

Yesterday
Muesli, 3cups of tea
4 litres of water (applause please)
rye bread, salmon mousse, vine leaves, tomatoes for lunch
Same for dinner plus feta cheese parcels and butternut squash and pine nut parcels (poncey M&S stuff, very nice)
No booze, but no bed until 11.30 ish

Today
Muesli, 2 cups tea
Only about 1 litre of water
Lunch - rye bread with salami and tomato
Dinner - salmon, pasta with red and yellow peppers, capers and olives.
1 lion bar
1 packet maltesers
No booze
But still up.

Still no exercise to speak of since one run in week 1.

How comes everyone else loses weight when they don't drink? I haven't lost anything and i've hardly drank... ooh, hardly anything...

Maybe you tend to snack less if you don't drink as well?

Yesterday, no idea what I ate during the day but I think a sandwich at lunch time, oh yes, with thai prawns and then last night lentil and garlic/thyme/olive oil/feta salad with chicken wrapped in bacon. And wine

Today
toast
lentil salad as above for lunch
apple
Lion bar from vending mc
egg fried rice with onions, garlic, peppers and mackerel. God, I must smell vile.
No wine today
and def having an early night

CaligulaCorday · 23/08/2006 20:57

At least my lion bar wasn't from a vending machine. (I think that somehow makes it better, not quite sure how...)

I've had 2 dinners today and a box of smarties (they're not as nice as they used to be but I still ate them)and about 3 litres water - not enough. No wine though. Am definitely having an early night as well.

iota · 25/08/2006 09:44

dh came home at last yesterday, so we pigged out on tuna steak and loads of wine. Maybe not good for my body, but it perked my mental health up a treat (I'd been getting a bit fed up with him away for so long)

CaligulaCorday · 25/08/2006 14:08

Yesterday a friend came round so I had

half a bottle of wine
Lamb with chickpeas, preserved lemons and spinach and mashed potatoes and peppers and berry trifle and it was scrumdidliumptious but I am now very fat.

Have had muesli for breakfast, rye bread with peanut butter for lunch and am now eating an apple and drinking lots of water.

moondog · 25/08/2006 14:10

I've stopped coming on here because I know I sound too smug but FGS girls, get a grip.

Lion bars?
Mars Bars?
Too much booze?

This will not make you feel any better,no matter how many of these weeks you sign up to.

Get rid. Once you stop eating crap, you stop craving it.
I promise.

moondog · 25/08/2006 14:11

Also, start the day with toast or something stodgy, and you just want more and more of it.
I used to think it was all bollocks, but it's true!!!

CaligulaCorday · 25/08/2006 21:01

Ha now we've got moondog on our case we should see some progress...

moondog · 25/08/2006 21:03

At last a resonse!
Thought you were all cold shouldering me.

moonshine · 27/08/2006 23:17

...aah, the Rosemary Conley of MN is back to shame us into shape .....

moondog · 27/08/2006 23:19

lol

Rosemary is kind of weird don't you think.

Those technicolour leaotards and helmet of platinum hair don't spure me on...

moonshine · 27/08/2006 23:24

Rosemary Conley is evil (imho, of course). And a Born Again, ain't she? And who trusts one of them? And isn't her treat something like a lick of chocolate once a year or something? Steady on Rosemary, you'll get yourself all giddy!

arfishymeau · 28/08/2006 04:49

Ah. Perfect timing to come back. I have been busy for a whole week and couldn't mumsnet. The horrors.

I have not deviated, had bowl of roast veggies for lunch (sweetcorn, pepper, squash, sweet potato). No breakfast but had a crisis because the nanny phoned in sick and had to do some emergency juggling with DD and then dash to a school viewing (extremely nice btw). Have not been eating meat and am not drinking wine.

Despite my over zealous juicing, wheatgrass-shotting and veg eating I didn't lose weight last week. After a week of celery/beetroot/melon/ginger/apple concoctions for breakfast and salads for lunch, and no wine you'd think I would have lost some weight.

Nonetheless I'll persevere and will have a veg juice later and a bounce on the rebounder.

No problems going to bed by 10.30. Without the wine I'm bored catatonic by 9pm.

iota · 29/08/2006 19:13

is everyone slacking off again this week? - all except you Arfishy.

dh is back an cooking me extrvagant gourmet meals and opening lots of bottles of wine, so what can I say - I've been bad

arfishymeau · 30/08/2006 13:52

Yes, I am still here. Clearly the pair of extremely too small for me jeans winging their way to me from a very expensive website are acting as more of an incentive to me than the rest of you.

8 weeks until Blighty for me ladies. I've even managed to reduce my wine consumption enough so I don't shock my mother when I arrive. That's phase 1 complete at least.

Have to confess that I'm extremely bored and that if I didn't have said jeans & trip home to motivate me I would be face down in a peshwari naan and a huge glass of chablis.
