I think you look lovely, Glaikit.

pancakedayiscoming · 22/02/2014 14:55

Aw OP, you are an inspiration and super cool. I really want to do this but am waiting until I am old.

IslaValargeone · 22/02/2014 14:59

You are keeping very good humoured about it I must say.
I know this isn't what you want to hear but it really did look good in the first picture, the style is flattering too.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 15:20

I loved it on the first pic, but the colour faded after about a week. This was an attempt for it last longer!

Laugh is I actually liked the ash blonde it faded to before and swithered about getting it done the last time!

You live you learn! This is my blue period!

And with hindsight, the fringe was a mistake too! Kirby grips are my friend,

If you want to strip it use head and shoulders. I'd be tempted to use a vegetable dye in as election of blues to give depth to colours even light shades and condition the hair.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 15:37

Geek, I've been washing with H&S for 3 weeks, have applied it neat to dry hair, didn't work!

Don't use domestos bitter emoticon

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 15:47

Did that aged 13, trying to highlight my hair. Didn't work!

I have two points

  1. I like the after Colour B4 pic
  1. This will teach you to mock my perm
sewingandcakes · 22/02/2014 16:09

Get a la Riche Directions dye in a red colour, and put it all over? I have done similar to my hair in the past.

It'll cover the blonde/turquoise with red, which will look intentional, and you may get some purpley bits where it's bluest. It's good for your hair too; it won't damage it at all. Then in a few weeks, when your hair has recovered, you can always use an ash brown if you don't want it red.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 16:19

When did I mock your perm?? I've not even sawed it!

Dh is calling me hulk Hmm

DebbieOfMaddox · 22/02/2014 16:25

You see? HoneyDragon is the MN expert on dyeing babies things blue, and she likes it!

HoneyDragon · 22/02/2014 16:27

Grin not proper mocking.

Only, you got a perm mocking.

I think you did, unless you have an imposterer Shock

Why Hulk? Hulk is proper green. put pink hairvtintbin his shampoo

Cocolepew · 22/02/2014 16:29

I like the last pic, it looks deliberate.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 16:29

Oh, yeah I may have done that!

I had a perm too in my teens, looked like a wet dog! Permed fringe not a good look!

Christ, I've had a lot of hair disasters!

sisterofmercy · 22/02/2014 16:29

Blue is very hard to maintain which is why I've always stuck to pinks, purples and reds. Tbh I think you looked great in the original photo but you need rollers and lots of patience to pull off the Kelly Osbourne look.

You could dye it back to your original colour or go for something like purple/red. If it is a semi-perm dye it won't take as much out of your hair as a perm.

Cocolepew · 22/02/2014 16:30

A perm Honey? Have we time travelled back to the 80's?

Cocolepew · 22/02/2014 16:31

Is that picture of you lifeandsoul?

HugAndRoll · 22/02/2014 16:36

I second the advice not to put ash ontop of bleached hair, unless you want green hair.

You need warm tones, possibly neutral. I must say your hair must be made of steel, mine would have fallen out by now if I'd dyed it so many times.

lifeandsoul · 22/02/2014 17:28

Yes it's me

Deathwatchbeetle · 22/02/2014 23:08

I liked the obvious blue in the middle pic.

I remember when I was younger and using crazy colour . One day I ran out so just bleached my hair but found a spray in black blue. Great I thought! But hang on a min doesn't yellow and blue make green. Oh that's fine I will have lovely emerald hair! Nope. Dull moss coloured. I had forgotten it until my now SIL mentioned me having dull green hair when I met her. Not one to try at home peeps cos moss green hair is never cool!!!!

Flangeofmingetown · 23/02/2014 01:01

Don't put ash on because it will turn green. As someone said upthread you have to put the red back in so the brighter the red the better.
