I like the bright blue one! and your last picture looks great

Cluffyflump · 22/02/2014 10:55

I love your lippy and glasses!
Sorry, I'm no good with hair.

MrsCosmopilite · 22/02/2014 11:03

I liked the blue that you didn't! :)

I also like the last picture. I don't know how you get rid of blue as I've not tried it on my hair (it's very dark and is a bugger to lighten).

Can you put a light brown/honey blonde over it? Although I appreciate you may not want to do any more colour for a bit.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 11:28

The last pic was before I used the colour stripper.

It's all a disaster, it's now very yellow blond with blue highlights. My hairdresser can't fit me in for two weeks! I look like Orville :(

Oh OP. You're hilarious. AND you have cool hair x

TheBakeryQueen · 22/02/2014 12:07

It does look very rock chick! I prefer your hair styled to the side.

But if you want rid, ash brown could be the way to go & use semi permanent so as to minimise further hair damage.

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 12:14

I have a dark ash blonde dye. If I use it my hair could fall out, but at least then it wouldn't be blue/green!!

I am mainly consuming chocolate today and will think about the other dye tomorrow.

I liked it really blue. What about bleaching the feck out of it and then putting a toner over

Petitgrain · 22/02/2014 12:23

I loved the blue. But as you aren't happy with how it looks I would change hairdressers if I were you. Not being able to see you for 2 weeks after she's buggered up your colour isn't on. And a decent hairdresser would have been able to get the colour you wanted in the first place, or as near as dammit.

Petitgrain · 22/02/2014 12:25

By the way my sons hair is that blue at the moment and it's proving an absolute bugger to wash out. So much for temporary colour, it's been in about 8 weeks so far.

BrittaPieandChips · 22/02/2014 12:27

I have this exact issue!

No tips, sorry...

GlaikitFizzog · 22/02/2014 12:30

It's more my fault that I get can't get to the salon really, work and weekends away, combined with her holidays. I could go to another stylist, but believe it or not I do trust her with my hair.

The colour is kinda my fault for pushing for something that would last longer than the week or so the top photo colour lasted. She did say she didn't know what would happen when it started to fade! She does now! It goes from purple to turquoise! :o

MrsCosmopilite · 22/02/2014 12:59

I'm so sorry you don't like it. I think it's gorgeous. I wish I could lighten mine enough to get to that shade.

Maybe a temporary 'normal' colour over the top? I think I bought something in Lush before that was quite good at removing colour without spoiling condition.

Floisme · 22/02/2014 14:26

Oh dear and I'm one of those people who are always saying you should leave hair dyeing to the hairdressers Blush Sorry op, I do actually quite like it but the point is, you don't.

I know you say you don't blame your hairdresser but I think it's poor not to see you for two weeks. If I were a hairdresser and had an unhappy customer (especially one who was a Mumsnetter!) then I would move heaven and earth to fit them in straight away.

foolssilver · 22/02/2014 14:34

I really like it but as you don't could you try a purple shampoo left on for ages. When I had white blond hair Iused a joico one which was very strong. Might give it the purpley look?

Bigbrassband · 22/02/2014 14:35

I wouldn't use an ASH colour as ash is green based. You will end up with khaki hair.

You need to put some red in it, to combat the sludginess.

this kind of thing would look nice
